I have a Kw-V50BT. Is there a way to wirelessly connect video/audio from my Samsung Galaxy S7 to the KW-V50BT? I was saddened to hear Samsung removed the MHL capability after the S6, so it'd be great to see if there's a way I can still connect these two devices together. Unfortunately I've tried using the Bluetooth method, but it seems like it doesn't come in as well (e.g., if I'm listening to a podcast, I have to really increase the volume in the car in order for it to work). Thanks very much!
For GS4 and below you have to get the 5 pin to 11 pin USB adapter. Samsung seems to be out but I got a knock off brand on Amazon www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009ZA7XW4 I've had this unit 3 days now. The screen is pretty bad. Even with MHL working the LCD has horrible contrast and resolution. The screen also burns in the menus when switching between screens you'll see the previous screen burned into the current screen for 30 seconds or more. My opinion is that this unit doesn't even have HD Radio and the LCD reminds me of really cheap LCDs when they first came out. Horrible contrast, and viewing angles mixed with the burn in effect of previous menus and the clock. You'll look at your phone all nice and clear and look at the screen all nice and larger but your phones screen looks 1000x better. After all the issues installing it and finding adapters to make it work I'll probably keep it until Android Auto comes out this summer and replace this thing.
can I operate the same way with a JVC KW-NSX700?? I mean, control the phone from the radio screen? In the manual it is stated that you can not control the phone from the radio screen while using the MHL protocol, just with mirrorlink, but here in this video is clear that it should be possible by MHL too. Is there any way to upgrade the NSX700 software to get this functionality? Regards, Niko.
cheeriomartinez i have the 30bt and i love it. sound is great, remote is good, and the screen is pretty sensitive so you dont need to smash it to get it to work. so many inputs too. i love it.
Im was going to buy this unit to mirror note 3 but that aspect ratio problem has put me off. About 1cm blank screen st top snd bottom looks ugly. Is there a fix for it.

i have a kw-v50bt. i have rear headrest screens hooked to it. i cannot get the the screens in the back to show the image on the head unit throu the hdmi port. i have checked settings and it will play the dvd. to the rear but does not work even if i change the rear source settings to "same as front" please help?

Please I need help... i turned the JVC Smartphone App on and it asks me to calibrate my phone goes into a white screen and then returns right back to the calibrate again screen. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but please I need help ASAP.

Hi Romeo, the Samsung 5 Pin to 11 Pin isn't included in the package but is available through mostly on-line retailers so please search using that channel. Samsung will be posting it back to their website for available purchase on May 23rd if you are unable to find a solution before then.

It doesn't work. The JVC-KW-v30bt MHL doesn't support Samsung galaxy S5! I wonder when JVC will publish a firmware that will support new/ modern phones :-(
It totally works with the gs5. One thing the video does not mention is that you need to download the JVC smartphone control app to your phone. Then you need to go into settings > accessibility and down in services turn on the JVC smartphone control app. Then go through the process dictated in this video and BOOM. At least that's how I made my gs5 work correctly with my kw-v30bt
No you need the Samsung 5 pin to 11 pin mhl adapter. They have a new thing now that's like a box with a short cord attached. If you get that then you can just use a regular hdmi cable instead of the jvc ks whatever cable

What if during the pairing part, the receiver doesn't pop up the code, or acknowledge that you are trying to pair?
