I would love to have you if you'd be willing. It might be a bit too late for this year, September 26th to the 30th, but perhaps next year. Contact me and we can discuss.
Elderrion, YOUR ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. I got a ton of Minutemen rebuilds US scenarios here. Oh, btw there is a start menu showing the castle with this theme playing
I will take note in that the Minutemen are among the most pure hearted faction in Fallout 4. They are fiercely dedicated to helping people in need and making the world a better place. I will also admit that it is an empowering feeling to be the general. You rebuilt the Minutemen from the ground up and uphold the honor and integrity that the Minutemen were built on.
Only pure hearted? They can become the strongest faction in the commonwealth. The best part is when you chopped the minutemen's head (general), they would not die. You destroy the castle, they still wouldnt die. Other settlements would help recapture the castle.
@@darnit1944 I wish this were the case but historically every time a General dies the Minutemen kind of go to shit for a while. It's inspiring that they keep on coming back, but I think as a standalone faction they're somewhat limited. I think they work best as a militia that bolsters the goals of another faction. If you are willing to headcanon a bit with the endings, I think the Institute ending where all of the bad actors in the Institute (chiefly Ayo and Father) are gone (achievable in game) and you retain the actual decent people in the Institute who want to help the Commonwealth (Holdren, Binet and Li) AND maintain good relations with the Minutemen under your command is the best ending. You're both General and Director, the Institute's more horrific policies will be pretty easy to stop now that Ayo and Father aren't there to push for them, and you can use the Institute's scientific advancements to aid in the Minutemen making the surface a better place to live for all.
@@JB-xl2jc If Obsidian wrote FO4, we could have gotten that option. Along with toppling Maxson as the Elder, reequipping the minutemen so they wont look like peasant with pipe guns and instead became a real army, and more.
@@darnit1944 Actually a couple of those were in the game files (Beth wrote a quest where Danse would, if the player emboldened him, challenge Maxson for the position of Elder, as he felt Maxon wasn't treading the right path. The end of that quest would appear to have ended up with the possibility of the player becoming Elder, though that's not there in-game and wasn't fleshed out. You do get an option to sarcastically tell Maxson you're gunning for his position, but that's all). As for the Institute, you can actually do pretty much everything I said in game. It is just stuff that will take a while to happen. You can replace Ayo in game, and that leaves the Directorate as Binet (extremely pro-synth and loyal, decent man), Holdren (extremely decent person and loyal, also has a "Join the Railroad" tape in his wastebin that he didn't turn into the SRB, so probably pro-synth), Li (openly laments about the cloak and dagger Institute stuff and how they don't help the people of the surface more, so will likely support any initiatives you make to reform the Institute), Filmore (extremely loyal, tells you "I hope you can come to trust and rely on me to the same degree that Father did" and will likely support any initiative you put forward so long as it doesn't endanger the Institute), and Secord (brand new in her position and openly states a desire for additional cooperation between the divisions, also ceases forceful synth retention on unwilling synths). That pretty much means that if you want to reform the Institute, you'll get very little pushback from these folks. They're all pretty decent- and that's all possible in game. The real problem with FO4's endings is that they just sort of .... end. There's no slideshow, you only get a couple of dialogues with the top players of each faction after the end. It's just not very fleshed out. Wish they had done more there. But, in short, they actually DID put a lot of stuff into it, they were only hamstrung by people wanting to continue playing after the ending (something Fallout NV did NOT have and thus it made a slideshow a lot easier).
Remember, The NCR started small. Imagine if the Minutemen claims some parts of the East, The Legion will be sandwiched by both NCR and the Minutemen. Unless canonically, the sole survivor becomes the Overboss, then forget it, its over. Fortunately for me, I let the Minutemen take over Nuka World Hohoho, we strong af
And I'd love to see the followers of the Apocalypse working with the minutemen instead of the NCR because someday they will realize that the NCR only fight for their benefit while the minutemen fight for those who need it
I wish you could take a squad of Minutemen with you to Nuka World during the 'Open Season' quest (The optional quest where you wipe out the raiders of Nuka World) and the Minutemen can claim Nuka World.
There are plenty of mods to take a squad with you, also find a mod to spawn a workshop down anywhere and found the minutemen settlement guards it will make the minutemen own it not officially tho
idk, _Nuka World_ was pretty fun _because_ I did everything up to the point where the raiders wanted to take over every settlement, and I was like _"...you mean _*_my_*_ settlements?"_ and wiped out every raider faction single-handed.
It played right after I finished building my giant tower, complete with power, working elevators, and 3 stories, each used for a different thing. First story: Residential area. Second story: Trade district. Third story: Owner's penthouse
“If the people of the commonwealth were to stand together to form a common cause, we could rebuild what was lost. If we stand together, United, we can drive out the raiders, mutants, gunners, and any other living thing that threatens us. We are the Minutemen, and we are for the commonwealth!”
I feel like the Railroad is the only other group fighting for a good purpose. The Brotherhood is racist, and the Institute is pure evil. If you play your cards right, you can side with both the Minutemen and the Railroad

I live the fact that this plays in sanctuary only when you’ve recruited a ton of settlements and have an army that’s the only time this theme plays to sort of say “hey you did it your taking back the commonwealth and making it a better place” and after you take back fort independence
we should all go to comic Con as minute men and help random people and respond to everything with for the Commonwealth!!!! and then pick a fight with people dressed up as anything that is a bad guy
After reading a lot of these comments, it fills my heart with hope. In the games that gives you opportunities galore to be as evil as you can be, you chose to be the hero, to bring peace and prosperity the people. To come with love and mercy, with compassion and kindness. I like to envision that such great people also bring your generous hearts into the real world, as it gets darker every day
A lot of times I like to take off my general uniform, put down my Gauss rifle and put on just the Minuteman outfit(ballistic weave just to be safe) and the militia hat, and grab a normal three crank later musket...and pretend that I'm just another minutemen. I feels as if I am part of the Minuteman faction...and not just the overpowered general. I am a Minuteman.
I was pissed off at what happened to the BoS after Elder Lyons passed away when they were so awesome in Fallout 3, so I went with the Minuteman and I chose wisely looking back. Now all of my settlements are fortresses and have nuclear artillery to ward off any invaders.
Minutemen : The heart of an all good benevolent God with the might of a malnourished child. It's easy to be good when you are strong but not when you are the weakest and most injured.
I hope so, but I doubt it. Bethesda has too much of a hard-on for the brotherhood, chances are the minutemen will barely be mentioned, but the brotherhood will show up again and this time with even more high tech technology taken straight from their ass.
The only problem with that is that the sole survivor had to lead that faction to glory and since it's a choice which gender you are it would have problems
K1NG W01FF They never confirmed which gender the lone wanderer from f3 was. Moira Brown just made a book years later saying he or she was mysterious and to let history decide or something like that
The fact that a random ass modder easily, easily defeats a entire company full of highly trained, professional developers with paychecks and degrees is embarrassing and still now the humiliation continues
After all the hours i sank into this game, the game that started my love for this series years ago, the raiders i fought, the companions i grew strong bonds with and loved like they were real, the impact this game and series had on me as a person, the betrayals. The good parts. The bad parts. And everything in between, although. I caught word that a settlement needs our help here ill mark it on your map
So many hours listening to this while building the castle...this takes me back to 2015/2016 when I was in school and my free time was consumed with Fallout 4..
It would be great if bethesda put this music in other settlements along with sanctuary and the castle, it would feel like you're establishing minutemen presence throughout the commonwealth.
It's so awesome when i go out there with Squad of Minuteman behind me, following me, fighting alone side me and preston. I really feel like I'm the real General
I was sooo hooked with the minutemen that in the course of the whole game build a system in wich settlers who came to the castle became sort of new volunteer recruits for the minutmen and started building up an massive army All were armed to my standard issue equipment wich is 1. A laser musket (no matter wich attachments) 2. Minutmen uniform 3. Helmet combat or army 4. Combat vest The veterans (the ones who helped capture the castle) recieved more armor then volunteers And i would spread my soldiers out to big settlements acting as guards for those settlements
Adam Oliphant if you continue to work with the Brotherhood, the Railroad will become hostile to you. On the other hand if you go undercover into the Institute for the Railroad, you will eventually make the Brotherhood hostile.
I know that as part of one of the last missions, who you do it for means that one of the factions will become hostile, but I generally play as all of them simultaneously up to that point.
i like to think that after my sole survivor rebuilt the minutemen and made the commonwealth into a much safer place, they would try make that "commonwealth provisonal government" thing again, and then the people would be in control of there lives with the minutemen acting as a peacekeeping force. UNITED WE STAND!
generic then they re open the nuka cola bottling plant and cause massive inflation, vote in massive taxes to counter the depression, construct a welfare state to counter that, then scarcity of resources sparks another war... .
We can all admit that, despite that one settlement marked on your map that you don't have motivation to help at that point in time... Hearing this music once you report back to Preston is totally worth it :>
My ideal headcanon for Fallout 4 is a minutemen victory resulting in them reforming the Commonwealth Provisional Government in the long term, becoming the east coast equivalent of the NCR.
Nice Facts: If you Go to Settlements that you have Late for Saving/Helping. There Will be A Chance Random Minutemens That is Looks like Saving/Helping those Settlements. Maybe
Hearing this music while rebuilding the Castle with my own hands fills me with a feeling I’ve never had from a video game. Most epic theme in all of Fallout in my opinion.
When the Minutemen shows up in any Fallout game or any event, it is game-changing. Their numbers grew so big everywhere and they're so awesome it is like the reverse of Raiders.
United Settlements of America, the NCR of the east, leaded by President (your Sole Survivor name) and General Garvey. IDK why I wrote this the idea just came to my mind
sadly I dunno if this should take it personally as a theory or not.. or canon possibilities (??) !! (sorry spoiler allert...).. ..................... ................................ >............................. .......................... >.............................. >............................... ............................. >............................. there is a mod called outcast and remnants which is labelled garvey as a "traitor".. he is an agent, a spy from enclave remnants that infiltrate minutemant ranks .. and he is responsible for quincy massacre these group of enclave even make contact with some secret vault in a bunker (under the sea) yeah.. maybe we put aside this as a serious idea for the next canon game
One mod I would make would be to have a former NCR veteran ranger join the Minutemen as an officer, and he would offer missions where the Minutemen seize control of the military bases. This would establish fortified bases for Minutemen troops, and make the patrols better-equipped… including some power-armored heavies.
I moved to Maine for one reason: It wasn't the Institute It wasn't the Brotherhood It wasn't the Railroad It wasn't because Piper rejected me... It was because of marked settlements

@@JB-xl2jc In short, FO4 gave you choices that they want you to make.

Remember, The NCR started small. Imagine if the Minutemen claims some parts of the East,
The Legion will be sandwiched by both NCR and the Minutemen.
Unless canonically, the sole survivor becomes the Overboss, then forget it, its over.
Fortunately for me, I let the Minutemen take over Nuka World
Hohoho, we strong af
And I'd love to see the followers of the Apocalypse working with the minutemen instead of the NCR because someday they will realize that the NCR only fight for their benefit while the minutemen fight for those who need it

I wish you could take a squad of Minutemen with you to Nuka World during the 'Open Season' quest (The optional quest where you wipe out the raiders of Nuka World) and the Minutemen can claim Nuka World.
You can with the "minuteman take over nuka world" mod. It's available on both pc and console.
There are plenty of mods to take a squad with you, also find a mod to spawn a workshop down anywhere and found the minutemen settlement guards it will make the minutemen own it not officially tho
you can download fcom and request a ton of minutemen forces.
idk, _Nuka World_ was pretty fun _because_ I did everything up to the point where the raiders wanted to take over every settlement, and I was like _"...you mean _*_my_*_ settlements?"_ and wiped out every raider faction single-handed.

Yes dear Sir best hope for Commonwealth
ps. another settlement needs your help i marked on your map
Garvey what else do you want. I killed the institute and the bos and the settlements are now fortresses
besides BoS
zacharie ??? This version of BoS were racists and make the commonwealth all human. They didn't like ghouls or synths even if they weren't dangerous.
I feel like the Railroad is the only other group fighting for a good purpose. The Brotherhood is racist, and the Institute is pure evil. If you play your cards right, you can side with both the Minutemen and the Railroad
This theme is the reason why the Minutemen were my choice
@ZCS just lower the music volume-
The Minutemen were my choice because you can choose them *_and_* the Institute :3
The minutemen may not of been great in the base game but the players imagination of what they could become makes them my favorite faction.
that's why mods exist

I live the fact that this plays in sanctuary only when you’ve recruited a ton of settlements and have an army that’s the only time this theme plays to sort of say “hey you did it your taking back the commonwealth and making it a better place” and after you take back fort independence
(Best read in the voice of the guy from the Red Faction Guerilla trailer) This is a declaration of the Commonwealth's independence.

I can see it now... a horde of Preston Garveys amazing
It is a theme of hope, a rise of a new power that will fight to free the Commonwealth. Come let us build a new world together!

You know you succeeded in life when this song becomes the soundtrack of Sanctuary Hills
As someone from Boston this theme encapsulates the patriotism of MA citizens. Playing fallout 4 and being from Boston makes it 10x cooler
Such a regal theme for a very underrated faction
I am willing to bet if Fallout 5 is set in the east coast somewhere, the Minutemen are going to be a major faction.
I hope so, but I doubt it. Bethesda has too much of a hard-on for the brotherhood, chances are the minutemen will barely be mentioned, but the brotherhood will show up again and this time with even more high tech technology taken straight from their ass.
Elderrion If it's cannon that the Minutemen shoot down the prydwen, maybe they'll return with more conflict with the brotherhood.

This track is amazing,it gives me the vibes almost like amazing skyrim soundtracks
I was sooo hooked with the minutemen that in the course of the whole game build a system in wich settlers who came to the castle became sort of new volunteer recruits for the minutmen and started building up an massive army
All were armed to my standard issue equipment wich is
1. A laser musket (no matter wich attachments)
2. Minutmen uniform
3. Helmet combat or army
4. Combat vest
The veterans (the ones who helped capture the castle) recieved more armor then volunteers
And i would spread my soldiers out to big settlements acting as guards for those settlements
The minutemen one of the greatest faction i ever played
but what if your part of both the BoS and the minutemen?
...and the railroad.
Cody Buckler reminds me of witcher 3
I beat the game with the minutemen and nobody is hostile
i like to think that after my sole survivor rebuilt the minutemen and made the commonwealth into a much safer place, they would try make that "commonwealth provisonal government" thing again, and then the people would be in control of there lives with the minutemen acting as a peacekeeping force.
UNITED WE STAND!
generic then they re open the nuka cola bottling plant and cause massive inflation, vote in massive taxes to counter the depression, construct a welfare state to counter that, then scarcity of resources sparks another war...

I took a seat in the Generals Room I think (The one where you clear rubble to get to the Armory) and this was blasting, it felt so fucking cool.
