Dominant species isn't a predator race you dummie. It is like the anagram for The Last of Us (what the title really means) It is actually the theme of the game. Dominance is hinted in there for those who are being evil and vicious. To the less dominant is what this music is for.

My immediate instinct was to associate this music with the super mutants, but now that my views on the whole Railroad vs Brotherhood vs Institute have shifted from being pro Railroad to pro Brotherhood, I see this as being best suited for fighting the Institute aligned synths; especially the coursers.
This would be so bomb if it was played in the BoS entrance in the Fallout series. Picture, the protagonist and some of his friends are pinned down by Super Mutants. They have already lost too many guys and are running low on ammo, and have no escape. Then, out of no where, a missile from a Missile Launcher hits a Super Mutant, killing him and some of the other muties. 0:00 starts, the protagonist and his friends are confused as to what happened, where did that explosion come from? The shooting had stopped for 5 seconds and then a massive shootout breaks. 0:23 the protagonist crawls up a bit to see what is happening, and then he sees it... a squadron of Power Armored soldiers, barking orders and shooting back at the muties with energy weapons. The protagonist and his friends are perplexed and confused, amazed at what is happening, and greatful that they are still alive. 0:51 we see the Super Mutant Overlord angry, yelling "damn bucket heads! We are the dominant species, not you!" *shoots his minugun* 1:00 A BoS Knight has the missile launcher and shoots it to his location, almost hitting him. He angrily shouts at his mutie brothers to fall back! 1:13 One Field Scribe goes to the heroes amidst the shootout, and asks them if they are okay, which they frantically but happily reply yes, although they lost some of their friends. When the Field Scribe is about to rejoin the fight, the Protagonist grabs her by the arm and asks her, who are they. She just smiles and calmly.but proudly says "We're the Brotherhood of Steel" and rejoins the fight. 1:26 The protagonist is confused and amazed, and climbs up to see the action... 1:31 He sees a LOT of Power Armored soldiers and field scribes shooting down the mutants. Where then we see the camera zoom out to show the battlefield. And then at 1:41 the camera pans to him, seeing him amazed and in disbelief, with so much emotion because his life, and those of his friends, were saved.

Also in normal game I did indeed face down 2 factions singlehandedly and won. Good times. Oh, and both instances were Survival. You are correct but in other sense. Human in the wastelands no longer is on the top off the food chain,to be still on the top you as human must duel with the new deadly species to maintain it. This track kicks in when you are facing Sentry bots, Assaultrons, Deathclaws and Behemoths.

Facing a Legendary Deathclaw, in the Glowing Sea, both of us have roughly 10% Health remaining, I have no Stimpacks remaining, using Accelerated Minigun with only 50 rounds left, power armor (T60d) integrity critical, fusion core at 5%. I spin up the gun, deathclaw charges, I activate VATS last second, target head, 25% chance to hit, minigun fires. I jump to side just as deathclaw fall dead where I was standing.
makes my hackles rise every time I see the trailer for fallout 4 with this song. Especially when paired with the line "I have a question, the only question that matters, would you risk your life for your fellow man, even if that man is a synth?" I also have an image in my head of this song, the sole survivor and dogmeat running headlong through the forests of the commonwealth for the sheer joy of being alive scattering herds of radstags before them and with watcher crows sailing on the breeze above them by the hundreds. I can't think of battle when I hear this song, instead I imagine Nora or Nate glorying in the sheer joy of being alive and free to run the wilds of the commonwealth, tearing through the forest with a hunting rifle and a combat knife.

Was defending the castle from synth assault after destroying the institute, they were destroying us, finally I decided to take a huge risk, at the castle I had an arena I used to bring in high-level creatures to farm for xp, in a split second decision, I placed down a beta wave emitter, powered it, and opened every single deathclaw cage I had available, and the chills I got as I watched those beasts just wade through the synths were fantastic, paired with this music, I almost teared up from how bad as a it was. If you want to picture it, think the charge of Rohan from the lord of the rings, but replace the horse riders with deathclaws, and the orcs with synths, perfect representation.

That bear( I'm not going to try to spell that Asian name for it) didn't make a noise till he smacked and staggered me. Right when I was about to shoot at it a Deathclaw came from the right and smacked the bear and the bear exploded. Guess they were already fighting. Then!!!, A grenade landed by us I ran clear and when I turned around it was one of those rust devil tank bots scrapping with the deathclaw and those rust devils raiders started shooting at me. Still can't see shit but then!!!, I heard a vertabird and that sound of power armour hitting the ground and lasers everywhere in that dust storm made the light more intense. I had to fight them off because I was hostile to the Brotherhood. It was fucking glorious. I wish I recorded my sessions. P.S. those refreshing beverages are a life saver in survival.
