She sounds like a light lyric soprano, but her low notes are much too dark for that classification. In Boys Like You she hits a few good F3s without even trying. I hope she pushes herself more because god, she has a lot of potential.
Danny T she is a mezzo actually she could be an soprano lyric but her hemorrage vocal chords ruined her , not much cause for this low Vocal range she sing very well
She is a Sobruette with a little of darkerness still her range that she support more its from A3 to C#5 where she truly shines her voice the rest is pretty strain her Head Voice its like inexistence rather say her falsetto is more often than her Head Voice so she has potencial to sing even better
Shes a "Soubrette" which is a soprano that hasn't fully matured. Her G3's were her only solid low notes, so she's not a mezzo. Also from E5-G5 notes sound much like Ariana Grande (light lyric soprano). Megan's voice is sweet, light, and carries very little weight. Unfortunately, I don't think she's going to mature into a Soprano tho. Her vocal cord surgery like will have her to be slightly more "raspy" vocal. She might end up maturing into a mezzo in the future because of this. Either way, she has a nice voice :)
No, I meant that while she is a soubrette right now. She may develop into a Mezzo in the future. Her range is fairly small . Most sopranos can vocalize up to E6, but Meghan exclamations at B5. Her more consistent range sounds like G3-G5, when you compare her to say an Ariana Grande who is filly developed. Its clear Meghan likely won't mature into a full on soprano (light lyric, or Coloratura). 10 years from now , she's likely to be a Lyric Mezzo, because her tone has become more raspy & darker lately during live performances.
Your right with the Soubrette her G3 well almost sopranos is the more often note that are solid Christina Grimmie(RIP) and Tori Kelly for been Light Lyric Sopranos like Ariana Grande can managed to support more lower notes like Eb3 and go more lower on Christina Grimmie case down to a C3 which is extremely low for a Light Lyric Soprano but in the case of Meghan for been a Soubrette which is a Light Soprano more lighter than Ariana Christina and Tori i will say she is on the pair on vocal abilities still i think Meghan needs a Vocal Coach to execute really well to high note were she needs to improve in my opinion the low notes maybe to but she is no suffer only to improv more support range and to manage not lose that voice cause is rare to heard a Soubrette on Music these days
Thank you!!!! That's an easy one to spot, I caught that after hearing all about that bass on the radio for the 1st time. Now, (several years later) I'd love to see how she has grown.
Someone should really make a version of this not just including her first album. I have seen and heard videos or snapchats of her hitting her highest note so far F6#. It looked pretty easy for her too.
I've been trying to figure out my vocal range. I was told I was a mezzo soprano as well and this actually kinda helps. I think my natural range is like maybe a TAD higher. Thank you for this!
I love your vocal showcase and amazing well crafted editing skills of Meghan Trainor, but when can we get a vocal range for her sophomore album 'Thank You'?
I think the reason she always get vocally sick is becoz she tries to sing very low, when u look at her voice, like am gonna loose u,her voice sounds feminine at the top,not in the low notes in bass
I was trying to find out what Meghan's vocal range was because she keeps having trouble with her vocal cords. If "All About the Bass" is below what she should be singing, she is putting terrible strain on her vocal cords. Perhaps she should let someone else sing that song.
4:16 4:22 oh she can sing
Those Gs were pretty effortless!

+L.e. Kevin Same here :)
but she have some vocal issues so she will not hit fucking G5s F5s G#5s. Well she tried so hard on her debut album.
She belts effortless F5s and G5s in Lips Are Movin. Granted , she's a Mezzo but has a pretty flexible chest register in the C5-E5 area.
Danny T she is a mezzo actually she could be an soprano lyric but her hemorrage vocal chords ruined her , not much cause for this low Vocal range she sing very well

thanks! I was looking for this the whole time!!

I expected her highest high/mixed belt to be Eb5
Those F5's and G5's gave me goosebumps

Her voice starts getting its face at around D4
Danny T dude hear her voice, it gets its ring about F4
she sounds like 2011 ariana grande when belting
Amana Fire they have the same vocal fach.
Bruno santos what does that mean?
Sass_King5 they both can hit the same notes :)
Hashem Fares ohhh okay like the same kind of range
Anyone know if her ranged increased as a result of vocal surgery like with a lot of other artists that also had vocal surgery.
More like Eb3 - A5. The notes above that were just exclamations. She is a great singer though. Definitely underrated vocally.
James Kelly exclamations are still part of your vocal range, but they’re not controlled. However she can still probably control them.
@@byebye9840 yes she can definitely hit them still
Make a Taylor Swift one, please
PLEASE DO NO BY MEGHAN TRAINOR IM HAVING TROUBLE FIGUREING OUT THE HIGH NOTES NEAR THE END “HEYEYEYEHEHEYAH” PLEAAAASEEE

What is her live range?
@@mynameissurya19 thats belted/mixed but her falsetto/hv goes higher to like f5 or e7
Taylor Swift!
she's mezzosoprano?
Nope
Light Lyric Soprano with a damaged voice.
@@thunderstorm__8147 how damaged? She healed them and sings better than before her damage happened and is really lucky
