Chew Valley Lake, get on the Pike days and fish big herring or mackerel in some of the mid to deep areas and hope. I’ve seen them come in the boat in the early 20’s, they are the direct descendants of the brook brownies when the lake was created. I’ve heard them refers to as Triploid brownies by the rangers there.

You should've kept one to eat. Brown Trout are the only trout I like better than Rainbow, AND about everyone I talk to, either has never had it, or agrees. Just one good size, doesn't matter how big because Trout only spawn once, so "breeders" aren't a thing in Trout.
