    Parents and sister are awful.
They proved to him that they believe (or even suspected) he’s some horrible pervert and didn’t even give him a chance. He’s never going to trust them again, and that kind of damage is going to hurt him _everywhere_ in life.
That poor kid needs counseling of some kind before it’s too late.

Just know that when your brother reaches 18 years, he is going to go no contact with everyone except you

IF he managed to get to 18. This much isolation could lead to something very bad.

Op is being too hard on themselves. No one is perfect and the most important thing was listening and caring for their brother.

No, they did not LOSE one daughter, they THREW HER AWAY! Whether or not they didn't know that it was all a lie, they still cast her out without giving her a chance to explain her side. I wouldn't forgive any of them, father included. He was right there during all of this and just went with it. It's inexcusable and his apologies are worthless. They can all be left to rot.

I think the father was emotionally abused by the mother based on OP's testimony.

Story #1 - There was one detail that struck me as odd... His mother said "I knew you were weird, but not this weird". What did she mean by that? Was that a reference to some other event? Does she just have that low an opinion about her son? About men in general, or maybe just teenagers? How did she "know he was weird", what's the story there? That could radically change how this is viewed.

Honeslty with how some parents, they probably thought a boy would be someone who goes outside and does more sports stuff, staying at home playing games really irks them a lot for whatever reason

Mother doesn't like me n thinks I'm a nuisance bc I can regulate my emotions. Sometimes parents just don't like their kids.

I cannot phrase this in a way to say I hold the dad to equal standards, but until the mom can come to terms with what you pointed out, and verbalize why to the family, no healing can take place.

    I remember st2
Yeah it’s on OP’s terms and dad needs to really work on whatever terms OP sets any deviation and the relationship is over.

Story 2: Read this one before. She shouldn't have given any of them any chances. They all casted her away without giving her a chance to explain her side of the story, without watching any camera footage in the bar that night, and the fact that Nicky could get chances for substance abuse but she can't for supposedly cheating? This is a bullshit family that didn't prioritize their youngest at all, and she would be happier without them.

Story 1: The kid's never going to unhear the toxic words that were wrongfully spewed at him. Family needs to own up to the fact that they eff'd up big time and I doubt they have if he's still trying to isolate himself. More likely they simply trivialized it, gave some lip-service over the mistake, then tried to act like everything was back to normal. You don't need a psychiatric license to see that he doesn't look at his family the same way anymore and that this isn't being addressed in an effective manner. I'm familiar with this kind of trauma (and yes, it is trauma) and I don't share OP's apparent optimism simply because he's acting like he's returning to his usual self. To me that just says he's figured out that none of you understand what he's thinking and if he doesn't pretend harder then you'll probably blame him for not getting over it. Hope I'm wrong and he's more resilient than that, it would be better if his progress was genuine, but the story didn't convey a satisfactory amount of effort being spent identifying the root of his problem and forcing the family to address it before it becomes a permanent fixture in his psychology. I know that if my own family every said those things to me I'd never trust them again without counseling.

They definitely trivialized it. Saying sorry does not start to repair the damage of what they did, and I don't think they even understand the damage they did.
As for OP's optimism, I think it is more a hope that he's actually helping cause he definitely wants to be there for his brother.

Story 1: that kind of accusation coming from someone you love and/or trust causes a lot of long term damage. A simple apology won't work. The family needs to first understand that they permanently harmed his ability to function as a person; he can't trust people anymore because they might turn on him like his own family did, he can't trust himself because what if they were right even though the specific instance was wrong? (mother's comment "I knew you were weird, just not this weird" will likely stick for a long time), he's going to struggle living with other people until he gets to a place where he's able to live with someone who willingly helps him heal, which may never happen. He will never stop wondering if he's a predator. He will never be able to love himself without hesitation. He will never be able to accept someone else's love for him without a lot, and I mean a lot, of effort and help.
The parents need to do a hell of a lot more than "apologize." Begging and weeping might be a good start once they understand what they've done. They're ruined his life.

In story 2. OP's sister drugged her, and the "friend" admitted to SA'ing her multiple times. "Proof" or otherwise, they should both be charged with the Heinous crimes they committed. They ruined her life, ruin their's back.

Seen story 2 multiple times, and I can't help but feel like not enough people are mentioning how even if OP did cheat, her parents leaving her to die in the streets is an absolutely disproportionate response. Like geez, it's just a love story. I understand fiancé's relationship with OP being dependant on trust, but parenthood is way more than that. At least in my opinion

Op in Story 2 as soon as she seen the ex and her dad at the door should've called the police and immediately reported them for stalking....

  • @InkblotHyena

Story #1 - OP's brother is going to burn bridges with the parents and sisters for not even giving him a chance to explain himself or defend himself. The mother and father's words ruined him, no doubt, and he's going to have a hard time trusting anybody ever again, except OP. The parents and sister will never be invited to events, wedding, births of children, and they'll probably wonder why. They know why. They just don't want to admit it..
Story #2 - Never look back. They willingly and knowingly hurt you. OP's sister is a horrible person, and deserves pain and betrayal. OP's mother assaulted them. Never look back. Never. They proved in that one action that they will believe the sister's lies over anything OP says, and the fact she came clean at all proves she's a bigger coward than anyone could believe. Nicky's the "Golden Child". Admit it, OP. Nicky's the mother's Golden Child. The Father is fine. but the rest of them seem awful.

Story1: Having a rather big dog myself, i can clearly see where those preemptive assumptions were coming from...
I wouldn't blame the middle sister either, such an assumption is just typical for teenagers.
The parents, however, are lunatics. 'Parenting' by calling one's child a weirdo, predator calls for buckets of dog's crap being poured into their faces - that'd be the case already if 'brother' had indeed caused the stains, but even more so in a situation like this.

I do think OP2's family should have the opportunity to earn her trust back. Yes, they reacted harshly, and they didn't give her the chance to explain her side. But unfortunately, her sister was mastermind. Because, let's be honest here, if you found out your partner had gone to a club, went home with a different person (with photographic proof), slept over at their house, and then that person said they had sex, that's a lot of evidence to work against them. I think 99% of people would have believed that OP cheated. THAT BEING SAID, kicking her out on the street was incredibly harsh, but that is more about her parents than her ex-fiance.
