I m 16 years old and I wish to have braces but in my city there is a lack of orthodontics and also my parents said me not to do this treatment they thought that braces harm me and also my studies
My problem
Overlapping of incisors and also not aligned teeth and I m little bit tensed about the pain and also my doctor is not well experienced and in my city no one has done this treatment before so what should I do ??
Hello! Firstly braces treatment isn't harmful, won't affect your studies, also there are other alternatives,for the first 2-3 days it does pain after that everything becomes normal and the sooner it's done the less time it takes.
Now about your issue of not having a good orthodontist so in my opinion if this is something you can deal with for a while then consider doing it later by probably visiting another nearest city or if you want to go ahead with the same doctor then discuss every pros and cons and see his work, every doctors keep before and after results of their patients so if he has that and the patients have really received good results only then go ahead with it.. Unless and until you aren't sure don't rush into it, sometimes being patient and getting it done at the right time and place is more important...and even if you don't get it now, you can prepare yourself mentally by watching videos and experiences of others to get it done.. And pain is nothing in comparison to the results.. Hope this helps and all the best 👍

Mere doctor ne bola - there is no need to extract your teeth but that time I was in dilemma because mostly doctors prefers for extraction but in my case there is overlapping and also there is no more space
So lots of negative thoughts make me nervous 😔

Check with your doctor if you feel extreme sensitivity as it could be mostly due to thinning of dental enamel and can be reduced just by changing a few habits like avoiding soda, acidic food or hard toothbrushes..
