- The Langhe region in Piedmont, Italy is home to the famous Barolo and Barbaresco, the king and queen of Italian wines. In our recent trip, we hired a private driver to take us from our homebase of Turin to explore the food and wines of the region. Beyond Barolo and Barbaresco wines, this region has a unique and rich local cuisine that deserves its place in the upper echelons of Italian Food. Thus, many winos and foodies make the pilgrimage to this region each year. We also ticked a major foodie bucketlist item with an excursion to the iconic Alba White Truffle fair.

Great video! Thanks for sharing the experience.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I want to visit Italy now
You definitely should! 😊
Hi! Thanks for the great video. I am hoping to visit this region in late June or early July. Are you able to share where you found your driver? Sounds like he was a good choice. And you didn't have to worry about driving!
Happy you enjoyed it. I’m sure you’ll enjoy your visit. Here’s Giorgio’s website:

@@TheCulinaryCrusaders thank you!! Your trip was inspiring! Hapoy travels!
Really enjoyed your video! We are visiting Turin for 5 nights the first week of September. Would you recommend a 2 day wine tour like you did or would one day be sufficient? We will reach out to Georgio but wanted to ask if he assisted with setting up all the wine tours or did you do that yourself?
We’re happy you enjoyed it. 1 day is enough if you just wanted a taste of Barolo and Barbaresco. It depends how much you like wine. Giorgo did offer to organize the whole tour for us but we also had a few wine brands we wanted to visit so we did half and half.
Thanks for your response! We plan to hire Georgio for a one day tour. He said he’d book us 2 winery tours - one in Barolo and the other in Barbaresco. Any you recommend that are a must?
If I can only make 1 recommendation, i would say have lunch at Buon Padre 😊
Great video! would you be willing to share What the cost was to hire a private driver?
Yes ofcourse. It was Eur 550 a day from memory but I’d just contact him to get a quote. He’s very nice to deal with.
