  • Today I’m in Langhe, Italy, where the famous Barolo and Barbaresco wine regions are located. I was invited here by my friends Chiara and Pier from ‪@Oneonthehill‬ wine club, and they helped me to organise a wine lover's guide to a perfect day in Langhe. Follow me throughout my day in this Italian winemaking region - from visiting local markets, winery in Barbaresco, having picnic with the most beautiful view, visiting chef Fabio's food masterclass and a bonus experience - restaurant visit on the next day.
    Check out One On The Hill Wine Club. Pier and Chiara will organise the greatest experience in Langhe - everything you saw in the video and more:

    Lovely part of the world, especially in the autumn at the time of the truffle harvest. Coincidentally, I drank a bottle of Rizzi Langhe Nebbiolo, 2019 over the weekend. Great value. I have a few '11 and '12 Barolos in the cellar, including a Mascarello that featured in your clip, which will be drunk over the next year or so while waiting for the '10s and '13s to mature.

      Indeed, I myself have been lucky enough to visit this area in the autumn with all the colours adding extra layer to the hills. And Rizzi is a beautiful producer in Barbaresco, cheers! 🥂✨

    Did I see a steak tartar? Or something similar. Did you have a Nebbiolo with it? So jealous. Love your work

    • @NoSediment
      @NoSediment  Год назад

      Hi, yes, it was tartar, completely different than what they serve in France. Almost no additions of other elements, just juicy melting meat! Yes, I think we had a Langhe Nebbiolo with that. 🔥 cheers! 🍷

    Love so much this video. In Paris, when i go for a lunch at an Italian restaurant i use to drink Salento made from Negroamaro grapes. Any idea ?

    • @NoSediment
      @NoSediment  Год назад +1

      Hi! Thank You for commenting! Sure, Negroamaro is a grape from Salento region, though more popular is Primitivo from that area. Both dense and rich wines! Cheers! ✨🍾

    Great place to visit. Did you have any Metodo Classico when you visited? Also there are some young winemakers who are producing outstanding Chardonnay at the moment in limited amounts, but very promising and good to keep an eye on.

    • @NoSediment
      @NoSediment  Год назад

      I love it there! 🙌 No, not this specific time, but I do love Alta Langa, these wines can be quite beautiful. 🍾🍾 Chardonnay is actually well established in Langhe, I know many producers making it. But I think more popular are becoming indigenous grapes, which I also like to explore. ✨ Cheers and thank You for sharing Your thoughts! 🍷

    The market looks great - suggest the market in central Dijon when
    next you’re there….cheese is awesome; although dint buy wine there as it’s a rip off - local Quickee Mart or Dijon wine central is the go. Barolo on my 25’ list
