- One of my favorite tin pan alley version ever made. Even thow Montreux 85 is hard to watch because Stevie was loaded I love the feeling in the song and the presence of Johnny Copeland as a guest, one of the biggest voice of the blues.
It's a shame RUclips doesn't allow 10+ mins long videos.
part2 : • Stevie Ray Vaughan - T...
Montreux 85 was such a badass performance. Definitely bitter sweet watching these vids. He was one of a kind. Stevie and Johnny were in the groove.
i love stevie so much, and i feel so blessed to have parents that knew him. My mom was in the same AA group as him, and she said before he left for the plane that ended his life, she gave him a hug, and she could just sense that this was the last hug she would give him, and the last time she would talk to him. heavy stuff. R.I.P Stevie, youre missed greatly!
Very beautiful performance by Stevie, Double Troble & Johnny Copeland.
Stevie Ray was a big part of my youth. I saw him numerous times in the NYC area and he never failed to amaze me. Most especially The last show I saw was at the Ritz in NYC New Years Eve 1989-90 was to this day the greatest show I ever saw. He taught a white kid from Brooklyn what the blues were. When he sobered up He taught me what a great human being was. He never fell back into his addiction and He quit all his vices including cigarettes!
saw Copeland in Berlin " Quartier latin" in 89 and SRV in paris in 88 both are awsome
Im so much in love with the sound of Copeland T-60.
Where did the music and people like this all go?
simplemente impresionante, grande Stevie, siempre te escucharemos
Outstanding.......... nobody even comes close. RIP Stevie.
This was three years after he got boood off the stage, now with a grammy he blows them all away love ya Stevie ./.
Bloody awesome:)
Yup! Still with us and makin' us feel just like he's in our bones!!
Stevie wails like no one else can.
Thank you for posting that, so good to read your words. I paused this video and scrolled down after getting the chills, knowing this comment section would be good.
everybody gots there vise... but the thing about a beautiful person is they know they are just people like everyone else.... and we all need help now and again thats why where put here not for ourselves but each other.... :) Srv is gone but he left so much more :)
Since i been lovin you,too similar!!!
Wish so much that I would've been there!!! Drugged up or not!! He was the best!!
@mikeyo33 I could listen to him ALL DAY!!! His music just has such a sexy sound to it. The other word that comes to mind is SMOOTH!! NOONE can play like Stevie. Only he could make Mary Had a Little Lamb sound AWSOME!!
holy fucking shit... the blues...
Man, if he was loaded,it could only help. What a legend!!
quien inspira un blues sin un poco de hierva o polvo stevie ,jimi clapton ,moore guy farner y muchos , esta joya tin pan alley merece unos toques forever stevie .superaysanchez.
Don't end...
where's the love button??? that's what I wanna click!
pure emotion!
Just close your eyes and drift off in the melody
@acefanaticishot Clearly it was someone that clicked the wrong spot. I prefer not think anymore about how he died. He was here - left his mark and we are all better off thanks to SRVs contributions. I still get chills up the spine when listening to some of his tunes.
When it comes to a tragedy with no real back story I'm sure a bunch of different reasons come up. If nothing else I like to think I just added another interesting one to the mix. The story about his old lady is what my uncle told me while we were watching this exact concert on DVD while drinking Jack.
Without drugs we wouldn't have the music they all left us.
Johnnie sweating up a mess - the way it should be, esp. the way he plays/performs. RIP
There is a "dislike"???? Are you kidding me?
Cos he usually was for a long time. I know from personal experience, how when your ripped, your creativity and flow, with real emotion is much more intense:) Every note is etched in your head, with variations on your patterns are just so much better. Your INSIDE the music!!
It was heroin and the helicopter crash, he died on his way to San Antonio, my parents were in line for the show and then got the drastic Info.
you dont even know thats what made him what he was and is today
nice peavey t-60
@RoyvanRikken
Johnny Copeland
i think the one who dislike this is justin bieber himself.....
Мне кажется он родился с гитарой.
What a guitar...reminds me of me, but better, lol
hmm..and I thought he was getting on that ride after giving a concert. Maybe mom got a little mixed up.
Hi there !
I was wondering. Do you know the name of the other guitarist/singer who also does his part in this version ?
Greetings from Holland.
You can post longer than 10 now - upload again my friend or I will when I get some time. Got to keep Stevie alive in the church of RUclips.
See I was told that the story was that he and his old lady were having problems and he got on a copter trying to get back to her and it crashed.
As a huge Zed fan...
and a musician...
i call this a false comment :/
Man, that guitar does"nt only sing...it lays down and begs for mercy, lol. Can he rip the neck of it 0r what:)
Right? Shit, his performance seems better than flawless. How can you tell he was loaded?
Wrong slick, estreetbill hit it right on the head, the next show for him was Chicago, your people were buying advance tics. As far as the heroin goes that prue bullshit, Stevie was a coke man when he was using for the most part but the dude had left all that shit behind. I sure admired him for it too, it had started screwing with his true love. He had dropped all of his ol' dopein' buddies and moved on. t
hop off man
I'd like too see you live that life and not be loaded on occasion(or all the time). Come on with the better than thou crap.
some people have absolutely no taste at all..
