Figured I would share my experience in case someone is trying this on a newer TW. I have a 2018 and installed led turn signals front and rear. I installed a new flasher relay that is designed for led bulbs. I didn't experience the problem that he mentions in the video about all the lights flashing at the same time like hazards. My issue was that when I would hit the turn signal switch the lights would come on but not flash. Solution: I removed the dash indicator bulb for the turn signals. I know he said this didn't work for him but it worked for me. Maybe the newer bikes have different wiring. Saved me the hassle of purchasing/wiring in a diode kit. Everything works great except I don't have a dash indicator that tells me I forgot to turn off my signals.
I have have tried everything i could think of and the internet could offer to make my LED turn signals work on my 2018 KLR and your suggestion actually worked! I'm like you, i will gladly sacrifice my turn signal indicator for the damn turn signals to work! Bravo and many thanks Kyle Hiebert!
I was having the exact same issues he was having in the video. All 4 LED turn signals were blinking as if they were hazard lights. That's with an LED compatible flasher relay on my XT225. Thanks to both of you guys and your tips I was able to just pull the turn signal bulb on the dash and it cleared my issue right up. Thanks guys!
I've had this problem on multiple bikes and this is the easiest quick fix.

Hey bud, so the last part where you were talking about the blinkers not lighting individually without the kit; would this be an issue that we’d come across with every year tw? Or do you think this is only a must for the older models? Because yours is one of the earlier years right? I’m just trying to figure if I’m going to run into this issue as well with my 09.

I’m very late but I’m trying to find that headlight
Ok my signals weren't doing anything so I did this, now they all 4 blink for both sides.... what can I do?
remove the turn signal indicator bulb, bing bong boom they work.
