@@BFHPET I mean, people have their preferences. I think the CX is a CF piano but without the uncompromising standards in materials and construction. But some of the design elements are similar and to me if you play a CF and then a CX, the sound is similar but more refined in the CF. I think the CX is a wonderful series of pianos but some just go more for other brands and some prefer Kawai for its fuller sounds and richer bass. However, Yamaha has their favorable features like a distinctive ring to the treble tones and mid range and really clear articulation. Anyway you look at it, the CX is a fairly modern series, it was just introduced around 2013 and it's quite an upgrade or at least different to the C series in tone quality and details.

@@benjaminsmith2287 i played the c3x now and i really liked it and the feel off the keys reminds me of ivory very good im used to play on a steinway and sons a at my old school. i havent tried kawai gx3 but its should comparison whit the c3x . i liked the treble on the yamaha but in the bass area there was lack of harmonics in my opinon but the c3x where a really beutifeul piano.

@@BFHPET Very good. The Kawai has a deep bass and overall a lot of harmonics over the whole range. It's articulation is softer and it has a pretty full-bodied sound. To me, they are two very nice worlds of sound and articulation to explore and I don't know which action I like better. Perhaps Kawai is closer to Steinway in sound and Yamaha to the VC Bosendorfers, at least in the treble characteristics.

    i am a litle bit hyped for a gx2 or maybe a gx1.

Great video and thanks for putting it together. I went to a dealer and the white keys of the GX2 are yellowish. So I asked why is that and was told because they are trying to emulate an ivory feel. Is that true? Yellow even for a brand new GX2?
