Nice video. If you want to train your Ukemi and do not have padded mats, the best is to make your body padded. Wear several large sweatshirts and a rain jacket on top. The padding is on you, and you are good to go rolling indoor or outdoor on hard surfaces 🥷🧸👍
I remember ukemi from back then. We were encouraged to practice on all kinds of surfaces. I hated rolling on gravel. It did not feel good on my shiatsu points.
It took me almost 4 weeks to master koho kaitan and finding Tobokami (leaping forward rool) a little bit difficulty but this types of video are helpful. Sensei, Could you please breakdown Tobokami. Thanks
Necessary skillset that alot of grapplers ignored. Instead of learning breakfalls and throws and takedowns, they just lazily sit down into guard and expect their partner to sit down with them because they're afraid of getting hurt
Thank you! Very helpful video. A video on the back roll would be much appreciated.

Hi Sir. I remember ukemi being my favorite warm up exercise in my Judo/MMA days. Precisely because is fun like in those childhood days.
This is an excellent tutorial. Thank you very much.

Thank you Sensei !
You can also practice on grass. Rolling is a very underappreciated skill.
