I know exactly what you mean when you say feeling awkward around people. I am fine with small talk and anything shallow, with random people. With people closer to me, I have no problem talking about politics, science, ideas, anything not about myself basically. But the thing is, I feel drained after any social outing. Because, just like you said, I am a people pleaser, I feel like I have to nod my head to acknowledge what people are saying, bend over backwards to make people feel acknowledged. Try to be polite. When I get home from outings, even if it is very late, I still have to sit alone for a while and unwind for a bit before I go to bed. Anyway, I love being by myself and don't really miss anyone which I felt was weird and I even googled it to learn if it was a thing. This matter is something I can elaborate on further, because it does involve how one's work life is, if one has a spouse etc. But it would be too much of a comment for this video I assume, so let me refrain 🙄 Thank you for making us all think, Anwen 🥰 This is it, you make me think, or you make me recall what I think of. You are one of the coolest RUclipsrs; do not worry much about people calling you tired. Is it a recent thing I am not sure, but apparently commenting on women's looks is okay, especially if it is coming from other women. This is really strange, but I gained quite a bit of weight due to a life-style change (not going out at all) and women from my building love it. One asked if I was pregnant, the other said it was natural because I was no longer young. 😂🤣😂Never in my life have ı commented if I could not compliment someone, never. And I get that there is nothing wrong in being truthful, but these people are not my friends and they know nothing about my life, my habits, my health etc. There should be boundaries when we are commenting on other people's appearances, especially if it is just a random selfie, or someone you see right in front of you. When did it become okay to be so harsh? Are women put on the spot more? Who really knows?

OMG I always love your rambles! I am currently AT work and waiting for a computer to finish imaging so I can go deliver and set it up for the end user, because my life is exciting like that. But I understand the introvertedness and the whole "making eye contact" thing, and while I absolutely still adore my new job and work with great people, I am really the only IT person, so much like the mailroom person, everyone knows who you are and always wants to chat and all I really want is to put on some lounge pants and do my IT wizardry stuff I do and watch Anwen vids. LMAO. LOVE & BIG HUGS to you, the boys, Hunies, and the kitties. PS...I too spend too much time by myself, decided I needed to get out and "meet people" so this last weekend I was supposed to go to a classic car show but ended up sicker than a dog, hacking up lung butter, so ended up spending the weekend with Prince Nyquil. It was like a sign that I don't need to meet people and I'm OK on my own. I think though there are several of us here though that are similar and if we got together very casual for a coffee we'd probably be fast friends and spend our time going off on random discussions about lounge pants.
