Love A&M, wish they could get their $hit together in terms of defense... year after year - disappointing. I'm hoping that this is the year that happens. That said - they did not have the type of year recruiting they've had in previous years. They need to start dropping the hammer on these young guns - so they (the athletes) are not put in compromising positions where they're ultimately booted off the team. A&M lost 2 - 5* talents last year due to varying infractions. This year's crop of kids is okay. They're ranked #15 overall - they have 1 - 5* recruit and 1 - 5* transfer coming in from NC. It surprises me that they didn't get a few more 5*'s committing - their facilities and the school itself up in College Station is second to none. It's clean, super friendly atmosphere, and it's massive, as an athlete the $$$ is there in deals. Not sure where the turn off was?
Defense?? Their defense was good. It was their offense that sucked
A&M’s defense has been like Top 10 in the country for most of the last 5 years. Last year was their first bad run-defense in the 5 years Jimbo has been there. Pass defense was best in SEC last season in stats despite that. The offense has just been bad the last few years. Needed a QB mainly but OL wasn’t great last season either.
LB and OL are my only worries with this current A&M team now that 5-star QB Weigman is the starter given how he played as a freshman.

Yea man it’s sad A&M can’t pull it together. I mean Jimbo is stubborn and missing a lot by trying to do everything himself. But A&M needs a real makeover with management and infrastructure. They need one person in charge of a crew for Transfer Portal filling needed positions with quality one person in charge of Internal Recruiting keeping guys and a new Head of S&C bc everyone always injured.
And a director that oversees all this and liasons with Jimbo.
