- This is My Attempt to Explore our culture and figure our are we racists ?
Nepal is a country rich in ethnic, cultural, and geographical diversities. Excluding our geographical diversities, Nepal is also popular for its ethnic communities present here. There are many diverse communities in Nepal.
In an attempt to know and understand some cultural aspects i sneaked into a private festive celebration and this vides is all about my experience the hospitality and the warmth of these amazing Gurkhas tribe.
The word Udhauli is made up of two words: UDHO + AULI which means downwards. Since the celebration of Udhauli would mark the start of winter, Udhauli means to move downwards from the upper altitude. This practice of migrating downwards to less cold regions is called Udhauli.
While Ubhauli Parva is to celebrate and worship nature asking for a good harvest this summer, Udhauli is to celebrate and thanking nature for that year’s harvest. A feast is held on this festive day where people of the Kiranti community come together to perform a special kind of dance called the Sakela. The dance goes according to the beat with the various instruments that are being played like the Dhol, Jhyamta, etc. Kiranti women also wear a special dress which is patterned called Chit ko Gunyo. Men also wear a bright colorful patterned waistcoats.

Ah Thanks a lot for letting us know. I love Kirati culture but for the first time I got the opportunity to understand and learn about the Eastern Nepali Kirati culture and religion. So if I made any mistake do forgive me and thank you for educating me ❤️
Of course, I understand. I appreciate your efforts in trying to comprehend the diverse Nepali Kirati cultures and festivals. While it may seem straightforward on the surface, there is indeed a vast diversity within them. It's important to note that "Udhauli" is a term in the Nepali language, and commonly used as a summary understanding, but there are over 30 distinct Kirati languages. "Sakenwa Dhirinam" is just one of the languages used by the Bantawa community within the Khambu/Rai community. Khambu/rai has more than 26 languages. Similarly, "Chasok Tangnam" is a term in the Limbu/yakthung language. Sunuwars and Yakkhas have different terms.
However, the essence and meaning of this festival is to worship nature and ancestors after harvesting. The ways of expressing this may differ based on traditions.
Just a few things I know about diversity of kirat languages. I may not be capable of defining it properly. I hope it's not out of the subject. 😊
Waiting ❤️
Won't be long Priscilla

Rai always trying to steal Yakthung identity. They can use Yakthung identity or wears but use with proper credits.😊😇🥰
Completely wrong coin mala dhajura pechuri kongkongma murchunga wabu badge are used by Khambu [rai]. And Limbu uses Silamsakma.
And yes not all are stole bro. Sirful is of Limbu but even chettri, gurung uses. And yes you can't say stolen. During our past Khambu people used Sirful only at weddings.

Incomplete video content !
I totally agree i didn't have enough knowledge about this topic while i made this content and i have admitted that in the video too. But I admit I admire the Nepalese Kirati Culture and Community and its unfortunate due to lack of knowledge, our ethnic community are forgetting their roots and accepting western religion.
Rai ra limbu Dubai kiratiko ho silam sakma
Yes I love my ethnic community..their culture, their heritage ,their history everything proud to be Nepali 😍
