    The best one by far is Shelly-Ann's come back. She covered a LOT of distance against Neita who is a great athlete and an experienced anchor. Shelly DESTROYED that leg.

    Evelyn Ashford in that relay leg caught an 100m World champion Marlies Ghor with a massive head start and left daylight between them at the end that was next level. Gwen Torrence did one simular but not against such an adversary.

      Yeah this was hand-timed so there’s controversy about the actual time. Some people have analyzed the film from the event and agree with the time, but it will probably never be settled. But his age, his early retirement, the track conditions, the crappy cleats they wore, the poor training of the time, the lack of good nutritional information (and PEDs) are all good arguments in his favor,

    Ashford's anchor is the best by far. It was at the Olympics. National pride was at an all time high. All the signs led to an epic race between Team USA and the communist teams. Ashford ate that leg up! The end. Period.
