- This is a video, taken stage side, of the fantastic Tony Hadley from Spandau Ballet at the Lets Rock Festival 2023 at Leeds (UK). Tony starts singing his 1983 hit 'True' and all goes well until he swallows a fly! Being the professional he is, the crowd take over (whilst he has a swig of JD and Coke) and then he soldiers on finding the whole thing very funny.

"THANK GOD FOR THE SAX BREAK!!" (Tony catches another fly mid air... then wanders off coughing for another drink)

He was brilliant, some other singers would stop the song until they had recovered... but not Tony! he just made the whole thing really entertaining, I'm not sure who found it funnier... the audience, his band members or himself!!
@@StepswaterUK He's not only a great singer, but a great entertainer as well. A show from Tony and his fab TH band is always a party!
May have been more apt if Tony was singing I’ll ‘Fly’ For You when he swallowed it.
He could have done a ‘mash up’ of both songs!
He was good this day, until the music and all the sound equipment cut out so we/audience had to sing the last of one of the songs
