It’s a great-looking watch for sure. But I’m not very convinced by the pricing on this. Let me spend some time with it and report back with a detailed review.
Yet another quality timepiece from Seiko. Appears to be of high craftsmanship. Only gripes are the price and the butterfly clasp which doesn't usually afford a comfortable wearing experience.
The price is really hard to accept for something with 6R movement and non-coated case. Perhaps prices will drop in the grey market in the future. Apart from the price, I agree this is a stunner. Case design is really cool.
Would really loved to have a red dial King Seiko. Would just as soon have a good box instead of a fabric travel pouch. I agree with you statement about the no date dials having a cleaner look. I have one watch that doesn't have a date and I really prefer it. On the King Seiko, a date window would detract from the beautiful dial!
Nice review-clear and to the point. I’m not a Seiko fa to say the least, but this is stunning. For me the dial is the clear winner and I also like case and bracelet. The hand set and indices are okay. The only clear negative for me is the oversized text on the dial. A little tacky. If I hadn’t just ordered a watch I’d consider sourcing this from Japan.
Agreed. So many stand-out features here such as the case design and bracelet. Really nice watch but for the high asking price. Plenty of Swiss brands are coming at Seiko at this price point.
@@AndyinSG You are welcome! I am deep diving into Grand Seiko and King Seiko and I recently learned it myself. For vintage models it is a very usefull check wheter the case and the caseback are original to the serial number, when they dont align they originaly dont belong together and well, it becomes a warning flag really.
I have this same model. I had a problem with the clasp popping open when I bent my wrist a certain way. I noticed that one side of the mechanism wasn’t ‘grabbing’ the clasp as well as the other side. I emailed Seiko UK and they took the bracelet in under warranty, replaced the clasp and it’s been perfect ever since. A fantastic watch and mine keeps excellent time.
Stunning watch, out of my price range I'm afraid. I also really like the one with the tobacco brown dial.

out of many people's price range sadly

Yes, no-date, clean look is really great if you don’t need the tool watch look.
I hope you get yours soon!
Prefer the pouch, who needs another generic cardboard box?
Plus you don't have to worry about setting the date.
The king seiko bracelet can be professionally polished like an omega or rolex.
It makes a big difference.
Ah… thanks for sharing.
Great video. It's a beautiful looking watch.
Thanks for dropping by. I really like this one too. Nice watch.

Very nice watch but need better movement at this price they should have put in 6L movement
The won’t put in that movement at this price point. That’s Seiko for you.
The facing of the KS logo on the back is aligned with the serial number instead of the front like it has always been the case with King Seiko.
Ah, I see. Learned something new. Thanks for sharing.

@@bobzuidema3560 great info. Thanks!
It really looks stunning, is the clasp secure? I find butterfly clasps pop open
I haven’t got in any actual wrist time on this because this is a loan set for review. Can’t help much on this. Sorry man.

does the bracelet have half links?
No it does not.
amazing but since you can get soooo many swiss watches for this price I don't think its price is justified in any way
Agreed.
Can you make a "side by side" comparison with another watch, so we can get a sense of how the size compares to something like a Presage watch?
Thanks for dropping by. I’m afraid I can’t do that because this was loan set.
Nice, really nice but priced is .......
There’s always hope. See if street price will drop. They almost always drop after a while.
For $1500 still worth it? The design though 😍
@@indrakelly3 yes.
They discontinued the red dial.
