Great video! I live in the netherlands and we go to a farmer every week for our extra veg and fruit. They had Brussels sprouts growing in pots just to show people how they grow. Now I am looking to do this on our balcony for the new season. Thank you for the information.

Wow this is the very first video I've watched on gardening where the glory is given to God our provider for all the bountiful blessing we can have via gardening. A very uplifting wonderful surprise. THANK YOU!
Just to mention I'm new to gardening with lots more to learn but very greatful to a friend for teaching me all he knew the year before he went to his eternal home with Jesus. I thank God for blessing me with answered prayer in turning my brown thumb green. Now I rely on RUclips videos as I continue to learn. God bless you!🌿

Followed your Brussels Sprout videos, and just harvested mine. Turned out great! I did lose one plant to the 3-day frost we had, but the rest were fine! Was amazed at how much milder they tasted compared to the frozen ones in the store. I liked these much better. Thanks for the great instructionals. Am sharing this video. Someone just asked how to harvest them, and your video is perfect for showing her..

Johnny Law my broccoli was a big fail last year but I had beautiful foliage so I harvested the leaves, blanched and froze them. Just yesterday I made a delicious chicken and rice soup and used the cut up greens. Someone told me that her great grandparents in North Carolina used to grow broccoli for the leaves and when flowerheads formed they used to give them away to the house helpers and farmhands. Interesting that they treated the broccoli as a byproduct, and it was the leaves they were after.

You need lady bugs order them on line and before you release them into your garden spray it with water and turn the lady bugs loose, they will be thirsty so watering before you release them will encourage them to stay in your garden, don’t leave the lady bugs in the bag or box in the sun while you water or they will cook. Good luck.

I liked how you sealed your brussels sprouts with vacuum seal. Do you think you could do other vegetables like squash and okra and put in the freezer like this to save for frying? I love fried squash and fried okra!!!

Good information. Thank you. You answered my question about blanching. I know that I have only once had brussels sprouts cooked in a way that I enjoyed the taste. My guess is that the way they are grown, harvested and preserved impacts the taste as much as the cooking. There has to be a trick to keeping them from being bitter?

I always wait for a couple of frosts to get on them before I harvest. Similar to collars greens

Oh, yes. of course. Some things are just better after a little bit of frost.

Some times Nancy puts me out in the garden to get a little frost on me😀

Yes, and I think the Lord lets us all go through a few frosts to mellow us, too.
