- We left Sagada and headed to a remote village we found on Google maps - Maligcong, Bontoc. The Philippines is full of hidden gems and this place was the proof! The most beautiful Rice Terraces we've ever seen straight out of a fairytale! We drove through some of the steepest roads we've ever experienced, hiked Mt. Kupapey through dense pine forest, enjoyed some cozy time in the rain in the peaceful village of Maligcong.... This is what a perfect day in the Philippines looks like!

Hello to both of you from Los Angeles, Ca. I have a suggestion on how to pronounce “Mga, ngayon, ngunit, Ngiti, ngipin, etc.. Start by referencing from the word “Bringing “ or Singing . Start saying “nging” several times and eventually you can pronounce those Tagalog words.

hi jonathan and susie,am always eager/excited to check your vlog whenever....if i only knew ahead your going to maligcong,have a friend from netherlands who built his kubo kubo in maligcong but his life i guess is now in aurora,aurora prov.You shld visit barlig and natonin for a spectacular greener view as well see their magnificent giant eagle.Stopped by bayyo going to ifugao nearer route to nueva ecija.these sceneries will stun you.If you are still in mt.province,and interested...locals or a priest i know are willing to assist you.

Maligcong is the hidden gem of Bontoc. It is the most beautiful rice terraces in Mt Province.
I'm so surprised that it's not as popular as the rice Terraces around Banaue!!
@@SusieinthePhilippines Because Ifugao has a lot of big rice terraces like Banaue, Batad, Mayoyao, Hungduan, and Bangaan and it is also near from Manila so it is more accessible.

i always bring lots of high-energy snacks when going to remote places as you can't really be sure where you can find food and if there is it's definitely going to be expensive. Bontoc isn't even that remote
Food is not expensive in those remote areas
@@eagleofthenorthmacroexcell6843 they're remote so there's a premium for lugging grocery items all the way there. and if you're looking for carinderias they won't be available because people don't eat out, they cook at home

We just came for visite 2months and hike maligning but it was too hot that’s why we did not go that far but sure we are going back next year and hike again. Drive safe and have a wonderful travel.
