1400 USD? Ghos I can build a full home 10GB network infrastructure for that kind of money, just go with a Mikrotik 250 USD LTE solution and you are more than done.
PRO 5G is very good and very steady that no up and down. It's about $1500 but the performance is 3 or maybe 4 times better than another router that priced about half of that. I am very happy with PRO 5G.
I just can't understand pep waves numbering and naming criteria for their products Can't they just name them good better and best? Is there some kind of secret to deciphering their product naming code?
It is confusing. Our Pepwave Overview member guide goes over their line-up and how it is organized .. we also have a video for our members going over the models to focus on for RV/boat use: www.rvmobileinternet.com/pepwave
I’d like to mention that Wi-Fi 6 is a big deal for those who spend their time in RV parks. Wi-Fi bandwidth is shared with those around you. Wi-Fi 6 does a much better job managing that bandwidth. It does so with technologies such as Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) and Overlapping Basic Service Sets (OBSS). I use ethernet over powerline adapters in our RV to dramatically increase data speeds to our Max Transit Duo. Wi-Fi 6 might provide enough congestion management to perform almost as well.
Indeed - Wi-Fi 6 can theoretically outperform Wi-Fi 5 by up to 4x in extremely congested signal environments. We wrote about this potential when the standard first was finalized: www.rvmobileinternet.com/wi-fi-alliance-eliminating-802-11-alphabet-soup-wi-fi-6-coming-next-year/ But I am even more excited by the promise of Wi-Fi 6E, which opens up a ton of new spectrum for Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, very few routers or devices support Wi-Fi 6E yet.
While there are vendor discounts (and by the way, a 10% discount on this router would be $149).. we prefer folks join to support what we do, get deeper research, education, support & information. View discounts as icing on the cake.

The MAX Adapter can only be used with the USB port on a Peplink router, Linux or Windows (no Mac). But it doesn't necessarily increase signal strength. It's a modem, not an antenna or booster.
@@MobileInternetResourceCenter I have seen it connected directly to a laptop in the official page. also it has external antenna so would not that increase the data speed?
@@MobileInternetResourceCenter I want to usb tether internet to my laptop. currently I usb tether the internet from my phone to my laptop but my phone indoor download speed is 50Mbps yet it can reach upto 500 Mbps outdoors. I want to enhance the data speed when I am indoor
Yes, you can use external antennas with it. Depending on where indoors you want to use the Max Adapter however, this may be tricky in a house/office situation with long cable runs that have signal loss.
I guess the real question is what if any currently available mobile routers can provide complete compatibility with Verizon's newly announced (January19th 2022) 5G Ultra Wideband Don't want to purchase was of Verizon's units want a 3rd party like Pepwave, Cradlepoint etc. You're only discussing 5G that doesn't include 5G Ultra Wideband. Guess any mobile router providing Verizon's new 5G Ultra Wideband would require a special set of Chips to properly decode the 5G Ultra Wideband signals.

I'm surprised it doesn't offer band locking or USB tethering. Is Wi-Fi WAN an option, and does it have the same load balancing algorithms as most Peplink routers?
Yes.. it supports WiFi as WAN and load balancing. And as we indicated, the band locking seems to be a 5G chipset limitation that hopefully can be resolved with a future firmware fix.

The BR1 Pro 5G can take DC input ranging from 10V to 30V -- you just need to get a different cable connector to splice into your DC system. MobileMustHave and other vendors sell these, or you can build your own.
We manufacture and stock the 12v cables for customers and embedded a 3a ATC fuse as well as included wire T-taps for easy direct wire installation. That is available on our listing for this modem. Pepwave makes a cable as well but it's more expensive without a fuse so we opted to manufacture our own for customers at this time.
Hi and thank you for all your honest information! Have you tested it on Verizon for any length of time? I heard it’s not Verizon certified yet. Will lack of certification cause the pro 5g not to work?
Lack of certification means you can't activate a new plan for the router. But you can move an existing activated data only SIM into it and it will work.
Thank you for your video, very helpful. My situation is that I am moving to a rural area but it has 5g service.
