    so glad i just bought the regular B One like a month ago. having the built in 5G would've been awesome!

      That is some unfortunate timing, although I will note that 5G access is still pretty scarce, especially in more rural areas that our customers are usually in. Thankfully, the B One does have a USB port that can easily add in a 5G modem if you wanted to with the 5G MAX Adapter: mobilemusthave.com/products/pepwave-max-adapter-5g-usb-modem-1x-cat-20?_pos=1&_psq=cat-20+usb&_ss=e&_v=1.0

    I bought the B One 5G from your website. The first one arrived defective and wouldn't power on at all. I got a replacement through Peplink support. The second one works, but one of the four 5G antenna jacks is off at an angle rather than perpendicular to the chassis. Makes me wonder about Peplink's quality control.

      Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you've encountered with the B One 5G units. We strive to provide high-quality products and are disappointed to hear about the issues you've faced. Each router undergoes thorough testing from Peplink before it is shipped to ensure it meets Peplink's high standards. However, despite their best efforts, occasional defects can occur during manufacturing or shipping.
      We appreciate your patience in handling this situation and your feedback regarding Peplink's quality control is valuable and will be communicated to them to help improve their manufacturing processes. When you have the time, would you mind reaching out to us directly at support@mobilemust.com with photos so we can assist you further with the misaligned antenna jack? We're committed to ensuring you have the best possible experience with your purchase. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

    Great video and products. Thank you. I’m new to all this so trying to absorb and then decide a course of action. I just watched the base camp winegard video and was wondering if this router is compatible with base camp. Were there provision made for connecting the 4G winegard antennas to the 5G router like mentioned in the previous video. Perhaps I should schedule a call to lock all this in. We are looking at other solutions/brands that are all in one as well, but the price point of those keeps leading me back to this solution. Thank you.

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  4 месяца назад +1

      Hello! Thanks for reaching out! So, the Basecamp will not work the B One 5G, but it will work with several other routers we carry. It does sound like a call may be beneficial with one of our reps so they can go through our options with you and see which route would be best for your needs! Here's a link on our site where you can schedule a call with one of our reps for whichever date and time works best for you: mobilemusthave.com/pages/consultation

    On the front USB-C, is there a power pass thru? If I connect my Calyx 5G hotspot, can it still get power? Thanks

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  2 месяца назад

      Unfortunately, the USB-C port is only for USB tethering and does not provide power through the USB-C port. The Calyx 5G would require a separate power source. I'll note you can also connect one wifi source wirelessly through the B One 5G. So, you could connect your Calyx 5G that way as well.

    Are those WAN ports PoE? Can I power a Starlink dishy directly from there, ditching the Starlink router?

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  3 месяца назад

      So, the B One 5G does not support PoE, but there are other routes you can go to bypass the Starlink router and connect it directly to a Peplink router. The specific route is different depending on the Starlink model, but if you reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com, we can help you out with the bypass options for your Starlink! Thank you!

    Thanks for the info. So let me understand. If i have a T-Mobile sim and a Verizon sim can they reside in the tray and can they bond if I understand that concept? In other words can I be driving down the road using one sim and then seamlessly switch to the other if and when connection drops on one? TYI Joel

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  5 месяцев назад

      So, the B One 5G is only a single-modem, so technically it can't bond both SIM cards, but it would switch automatically to the backup SIM card if the main SIM loses service. It won't be exactly seamless though, because you will still have a little downtime as the router switches over to the backup SIM. It doesn't take long though for it to switch over.

    What is Fusion SIM? Can this peplink be rack mountable? If so, any way to install the antennas efficiently? Thanks

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  3 месяца назад +1

      So, FusionSIM is a feature on some Peplink routers related to eSIM functionality. This feature is not included with the B One 5G, but it is compatible with other BYO eSIMs. It is also compatible with our multi-carrier plans, up to 300GBs.
      The B One 5G is not listed as rack-mountable, and I'm unable to find a set of rack-mounting ears for the B One 5G, unfortunately.

    If the B One 5G is upgraded to support FusionSIM, would you expect that to be via a Firmware update, so I could benefit from it in the future if I were to purchase the B One 5G now?

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  6 месяцев назад

      That's a really good question. Unfortunately, FusionSIM is a hardware feature, so it would not be added with future firmware upgrades. We are hopeful for new Peplink routers to support FusionSIM in the future though. If you have any other questions, reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we'll be happy to help!

    Can the Peplink B One 5G be set to bridge mode to use it solely as a modem and connect a separate router? If so, what is this feature called at Peplink?
    Best regards!

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hello! So, Peplink's similar equivalent to bridge mode is called Drop-In Mode and it is included with the B One 5G! Here's an article that goes over Drop-In Mode: forum.peplink.com/t/what-is-drop-in-mode/8592

    is there an option to skip the router and just use the modem?

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  5 месяцев назад +1

      So, if you're just needing a 5G modem and not the router itself, I'd recommend looking at the BR1 Mini 5G, which does not have WIFI capabilities and can be tied into another router as a 5G modem.
