Adam is the kid who yells "Don't forget plasma!" When the teacher is talking about the stages of matter
Yes
You mean the cool kid?
That’s important information. Why would you WILLINGLY want to be left out on details of a fact?
No, the smart kid yells plasma, Adam yells Bose-Einstein Condensate

"Death had to take Teddy in his sleep, for were he awake, there would have been a fight."
When TR did push ups, he wasn't pushing himself up, he was pushing the Earth down. That's how badass TR was.
Teddy's glasses were actually an inhibitor to keep his power in check.
Haha! Love it!
Teddy was actually part of the universe that broke off so we can experience his perfection
Evi1M4chine And yet he was still a badass.
It’s not just Sioux land, those particular mountains are SACRED land.
Yeah also the sioux ancestors were carved on the mountains before the Americans came
So it would be like if I drew my friends’ faces in the Vatican?
Riceasaurus • 9 years ago yes, if your friends were responsible of a genocide of Catholics
Steve Steve Steve Steve there you go
The land was also part of a treaty that they broke. They promised them a portion of land that everyone signed on, and still went back on it. Not to mention the fact that they weren't always given appropriate translators so it's fair to say the Natives didn't completely know what they were getting into all the time.
You forgot to mention the mountain is sacred to the Sioux, called the mountain of the Six Grandfathers. And almost immediately after the land grab, the US gov't defaced the sacred monument by carving the faces of US Presidents. That wasn't an accident. It was deliberate vandalism.
"Whoops! I carved the presidents faces in the mountain by accident, damn I am so clumsy"
@Himallo Grey idt you know what vandalism means
@Himallo Grey Didn't see any native Celts protest against them. I wonder why.
@Himallo Grey You make no sense but I guess you already know it and only came to troll.
Now it looks awesome boohoo.
We all know the real mount rushmore contained a city of gold discovered by nicholas cage.
Pill Cosby lol
lol
It's actually the base for Team America World Police
OK so no ones gonnna mention the new day????
Patrick Wozek that was why I was thinking 😂😂 "No! Obviously there was a secret city of gold inside that the government and freemasons tried to keep hidden for Nicholas Cage to find."
Man i always thought it would have been funny if they started with the torsos or legs and then Borglum died.
Peter Schipper That would've been hilarious.
Peter Schipper I’m weak lol
every sculpture is sculpted top down
"Welp we finished the penises before he died. I'm sure it'll still be called a national treasure."
And yes I know they wouldn't have made penises.
Awesomefacecraft but that would've been funny af
I'm gonna hop in here, Teddy Rosevlt was an incredible president, he fought for wildlife conservation, built a modern America, got asians equal rights, fought corruption, ended the Russo- Japanese war, and a lot more. He was a great leader and very very popular at the time, knowing the artist didn't hurt but regardless. So he did more than "like hunting"
Max Kosterlitzky good man
@Shaun Fleming I say helped because some people get angry if I don't, but he was the peace deal
@Teitoku-Senpai 『 先輩提督 』 He was the mediator to negotiations and was said to of had a large role in keeping negotiations going
The whole time I was like what about national parks
Don't forget the massive amount of labor rights, health, and welfare laws he helped get enacted.
“ and Roosevelt liked hunting?” Yes and don’t forget he was a military leader, effective president, helped preserve lots of land, helped create the FDA, kept a badger and bear as a pet in the White House, had his eye be injured in a boxing match while president, and was shot in the chest and still gave a speech and lived
Was responsible for the Panama canal and took a stand against monopolies
But yea it was because it was his friend
and a lot of perservaion
We’ve had a lot of presidents with unique presidencies, what’s your point?
Earned a Nobel Peace Prize for negotiating a peace between Japan and Russia.
To be honest, the "hall of records" idea is actually pretty cool
Like Team America
Yes I agree but t would have been robbed so many times or the mountain bombed
It would have been cooler if they built the alien-hunting weapons vault from Ben 10.
I'm like 70 percent sure they did do it
in one of the heads
I thought their faces were on the monument because they were Hokage

Underrated line.
Forgot to mention his KKK and Freemason membership. The latter I'm fine with. Not the KKK though. Scre him for that.
@@SCP_Wandsman13_13 Yeah, the Freemasons are all right but the KKK are demons in Human form so screw Borglum for being part of the KKK. I can see why he went for carving President faces into the mountain though as it clearly would attract more tourists then the faces of Wild West legends.
@Doug Nading Yeah, he was part of the KKK so that doesn't surprise me. I'll bet one of the 'heroes' in question was Nathan Bedford Forrest who was the guy who founded the KKK.
Teddy was massively progressive and one of the best presidents we've had
@impractical smoker exactly
K.
@impractical smoker Nah, that's a bunch of right wing bullshit.
@impractical smoker dude, stop. You're embarrassing yourself with that Tim Pool name drop
@impractical smoker Tim Pool is a two-bit right wing propagandist. I'd have been surprised if you didn't mention you base your view of reality on him or one of the other identical shills pushing the right wing media agenda.
*Fact check: The project did not die with Gutzon Borglum, his son Lincoln Borglum took over as leader of the project, and when funding ran out it was he that decided to end it.
Lincoln? really? Was Teddy Borglum not up to the task? .. eh. Good job on the fact check. Hopefully Conover will publish corrections with seasonal DVDs.
Gutzon Borglum also carved the Confederate image on stone mountain
You heard this. The money ran out for the project. It's why Lincoln doesn't have a left ear.

I came down the comment section to find this
My friend and I were traveling across the country many years ago. Went to Mt Rushmore, just to see it. I think we were there about 25 minutes. Took a few pics and that was it. Ive seen a lot of fascinating things and places in the Lower 48, but Mt Rushmore wasnt one of them. Restroom was clean, so that was a plus.
Adam should talk about the "eagle" cry actually being from a red-tailed hawk.
He's saving that for his clip on the loon, laughing kookaburra, and Wilhelm Scream
"Stolen native american land". That describes literally everything in North America, but okay.
Mad Maxx Correct, but in this case there was a binding legal treaty that was meant to protect Sioux claims to the land. One which the federal government ignored, breaking the law.
wow a country acquired land by breaking a treaty with indigenous ppl cuz of resources
that's never happened before ever! OH MY GAWD
Mad Maxx it's true tho
CLAWASS That has happened in history so many times that its impossible to say the amount of times (btw im a history fan)
That literally describes the entire world. At some point in history, nearly everyone had to kill, and steal land from each other. Why do people think that stealing land from Native Americans is a terrible thing? Should they feel sorry for the others that had land stolen other than natives?
Now kill me.
It just feels like this monument was just rushed
Tekno I think it could have been rushed more.
He needed to Rushmore to finish it before he died.
Ayy

these comments are pure gold

The Lakota Sioux showed up to protest too. The federal government just won’t stop screwing then at every chance they can get
What a jackass
Neither do BLM protesters
@Anonny Moose I was saying they were violating social distancing ordinances. Masks were nowhere in the conversation.
"The head is only 60 feet I've seen bigger"
Sounds like those whiny Yelp reviews people leave lmao.
@William Michaels True
Seriously, when I went to Rushmore, I was struck by how....small...it is. All the pictures you typically see are zoomed in, making it look bigger than it actually is. Still a nice place to visit, though.
@William Michaels will never be finished

I thank you.
Wow that makes it seem smaller.
thank you!
The most shocking thing I learning while living in Canada is really how horrible the indigenous people were and are treated. The government can give themselves a day off to remember the atrocious things they did, they can waste tax payers money on meaningless new buildings and give them Cree names. None of that changes the fact that the First Nations people feel they are social outcasts in their own land.
Literally isn't their own land, or can we say the same thing about Germans living in what is now wester Poland?
@@HighLordComedian Do a bit more reading to avoid making such ridiculous comments in the future. And you are literally using the word literally wrong.
4:11, contrary to popular belief that's the cry of a Red-tailed Hawk, not a bald eagle.
Yep. Bald eagles sound like little tweety birds. Kind of an embarassment for the U.S. of A.
To be fair, Teddy Roosevelt was a pretty cool president. Better than Andrew Jackson anyway.
Goose Boose true!
Not to mention he was instrumental in laying a foundation for the creation of the National Park Service and set aside land for conservation that would eventually be managed by the NPS, including the Grand Canyon. So, makes sense that his head is on land now managed by the NPS.
Better than trump anyway
He did start the NP system.
I read his biography, Teddy was legit. Dude fought a bear and won.

How can you make this entire video and not talk about Borglum's membership in the KKK and how that influenced his choice to make it presidents.
didnt abe end slavery? why would a kkk member put him on it
Teddy Roosevelt was an environmentalist, created the National Park Service, and created the Panama canal. I know he didn't create it but he advocated for it and signed the bills.
The creation of the Panama Canal is kinda fucked up though, given it literally involved destablizing a foreign goverment.
@@megadracosaurus
How is that fucked up?
yeah dude i love american imperialism

Actually, work continued after Gutzon Borglum's death under his son Lincoln Borglum's direction. Work ultimately stopped in the 1940s because of the massive economic burden of the war effort.
Oh so the show just flat out lied... nothing new

Roosevelt: "Wow.. you're like obsessed with me."
That was a good laugh.
As his "gun" goes off. Hmmm...must have really made Teddy happy!
Americans basically stabbed the Sioux in the back, and then pissed in their wound
Bruh Bruh
Sounds like a kinky german porno. Are you sure we are talking about the same thing?
@Levis. H maybe except natives are, even today, still stuck on reservations with dilapidated schools, underdeveloped infrastructure, and levels of poverty that haunt them from the Great Depression. Our government is supposed to be funding and helping run these schools but we don't. This leads to a dropout rate nearly twice that of the national average. This poverty and lack of infrastructure leads to a cycle of increased crime and poverty.
Even if your equivocation about history was correct, native americans aren't "whining about it like little bitches" because of something in the past. They are fighting against active systemic discrimination. But enjoy that "both-sidescream", im sure it's as cold as this take.
@Levis. H I don't like either party. The Democrats pander to minorities but ultimately want to just stay in power however possible. The Republicans are the same, except they pander to people who don't like minorities lol.
The reservations are areas where natives have been "allowed" to self govern (which is so laughable on it's own like yes let's allow you to make decisions about your own communities, so sorry about the genocide btw). Certain communities have earned income from the gambling and casino laws but factually they still face systemic issues against their community.
Canada has similar issues with the First People in their country. If you're interested I recommend looking into the issue, especially because it isn't US specific (although the US has a large part to play).
That's what conquerers do. Don't get conquered is the lesson, I suppose. LOL
This is the story of Every Success ....
i mean teddy founded the national park system, americas pride and joy. he was conserving nature before it was cool.
I love how The New Day jumped in out of nowhere 😂

Teddy Roosevelt spearheaded the national parks and conservation movement.
Not to mention he was one of the most badass presidents of all time. He got shot while giving a speech once and just kept on going.
Actually he got shot before giving a speech. It didn't stop him from giving the speech though.
Sure but that still doesn't excuse him for paying the sculptor.
He was also our 4th best president during the time Mt. Rushmore was under construction (i.e. pre-1923). Our other best presidents came after that (FDR, JFK, LBJ, Truman). Only best option would've been Andrew Jackson and we all know how he treated the Native Americans.
Don't inject facts into an "Adam ruins" video. It distracts people from what Adam wants to lead people to believe.
It took me so many rewatches to figure out it was Big E, Kofi, and Xavier
Me: *sees the 3 guys next to the cart* "IS THAT THE NEW DAY!?!?"
Roosevelt started the National Park system; that's why his face is on the National Monument, because it's *owned* by the National Park system!
And there's people out there that still think it happened naturally.
Please... tell me that was actually a joke
Hahahaha that's a *joke*
Please for my sanity
Those great American leaders were chosen to lead us by God and that's why their faces appeared in the mountain. I think a new one show up in a few years too once America is great again!
well much like your birth, nothing happens without someone getting fucked. All you can do is be thankful your not the one taking it in the ass.
LMAO 😂😂😂😂
1:11 oh wait The New Days wtf they doing here :v
Did they just sneak the New Day thinking we wouldn't notice
When you look up what Roosevelt did for the national parks, it's easy to see why he was put on the monument. Come on, Adam.
DanteBrian : and without him, the world would have missed out on teddy 🐻🐻.
Omegapede Prime alt-left?
yeah but was that the actual reason Roosevelt is in the monument? did Borglum really respect Roosevelt simply for his national parks contributions, enough so that he wanted to sculpt a massive rendition of his head?
so please clarify Omegapede, what parts were wrong, what sources were wrong, and do you have correct information with sources?
He may have done those thing, but the main reason was because they were buds.
Roosevelt was also the first president to travel to another country while in office, which was pretty important for establishing the United States as a notable country.
AJW yup
He took the first major step to making the United States a super power.
He's also just the most badass president ever. Asthma? Pfft, I'll just work out until it fucks off. Literal uphill battle? Pfft, I'll lead the charge. White House? Let's get some Ruskies in here and wrestle!
Coupledyeti Vonvanderburg don't forget he literally got shot right before giving a speech and proceeded to give the speech with the bullet still in his chest.
AJW and eggman is probably based of him so yeah...
"I'd never thought i'd say this but, North Dakota was right"
As someone from North Dakota i am both offended and proud of that statement 😂
Not only is it on stolen Native American land (well basically all of the country was stolen but that's another can of worms) it's also sacred land. It's like if America destroyed Jerusalem and built a American themed amusement park where the city used to be.
" Stolen " 🤣🤣🤣
Roosevelt was a pioneer for our national parks and conservation. I don't understand why he wouldn't be on the monument?
PhantomStudios he white?
Teddy Roosevelt is the reason why the entire world has the conservation is has. Look at the age of the vast majority of National Parks in the world, the VAST majority are After Roosevelt, not before.
RèéD '-' im jeff?
exactly right, this is the liberal spin show starring Adam the big libtard
BPB9973952
Roosevelt was liberal though...
Teddy, Aside from shooting stuff... basicaly made our park system and more importantly made the panama canal. Extremely important for transportation, economy/trade and defense.
And Obama sold the Panama Canal
Majin Yojimbo Carter... not Obama. It was Jimmy Carter who brokered the deal.
d'oh, you're right...
Either way democrats selling out America.
Also to add being the first American to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, making Conservation a national issue and being the first American president to invite an African-American to dine with him at the White House.
Knowing that it was incomplete I can’t see unsee it now.
Love that you’re covering this!
Teddy founded The National Parks, funded the Panama Canal and was in general the most badass man to ever live. If someone who owned a bear and gave a speech after getting shot in the chest doesn't deserve to be on that mountain then I don't know who does.
Alex Is a Loriau I might be wrong but I believe he also was governor of new York and stopped corrupio. There.
It’s Gutzon Borglum!
Limited the power of rich and tried to preserve nature
Ok well almost all of this is true, but he did not create the panama canal
Was he the youngest president?
Teddy Roosevelt was a total badass though
Teddy was the first president in the late 19th and early 20th century to act like a president. He destroyed big corp. influence in government destroyed monopolies and expanded American imperialism after the Spanish-American war and brought power back to the president. Ran for 3rd term but GOP wanted someone else splitting the Republican vote. He would have been the first to be elected 3 times, even more and WW1 would be very different for USA because of his militaristic attitude. The way the video blushed over Teddy is just sad.
He was a huge conservationist and made it his top priority before the NPS was a thing. Definitely should have been given more respect in this.
yeah also a mass murderer cuz you know the (civilians) died by war but i must say he knew how to be politician
El Potahto the bullet barely hit him is the thing...
Faruk "Because you know the died by war" wtf, do you English?
Bruh Theodore Roosevelt was one of the greatest presidents of all time.
Nah
You forgot the Sioux took it from Cheyenne. Who then took it from the Kiowa and the Crow. And then from the Arapaho and Comanche.
Teddy Roosevelt founded the national park system
WhaleWisper also he was a badass.
He also lead the Rough Riders in the Spanish American War
He took a bullet to the chest and just went "I don't feel hurt... Back to life as usual". I mean, who else ever was like that?!
O
WhaleWisper is the
Teddy Roosevelt made national parks
thats not really anything that big in the grand scheme of things
+slipspacer88 let me see what you've done with your life
slipspacer88 Actually, it's pretty big. National parks help preserve many endangered animals and just animals in general. They also protects the trees from being cut down, therefore giving us oxygen. Roosevelt founding national parks is actually quite big in the scheme of things, and it's very honorable too. He helped preserve some of the most beautiful places here that would've otherwise been destroyed.
Yet compared with the rest of the gang, it is really weird he is up there. The National park is nice and all but one is the first president, one wrote the declaration of independence and one ended slavery. Its like saying beyond that three dudes, the best thing or the greatest thing a US president ever did is making the national park? Ranking president by their achievements and the forth place is already Teddy?
Its good yes, but not by the standards of other presidents, it would relatively difficult to find any main name president who didnt do something good or "pretty big" on atleast one task
This is one thing my father told me:
Ignorants thinks it’s all about money,
but it usually never is.
(Sorry, I don’t know if I traduced it well)
The video implies an interaction between Borglum and Roosvelt about the monument during the 1920s. Roosevelt died in 1919.
Don't you rip on my boy Roosevelt. He was one of the most badass presidents in history and he gave us the National Park System.
Nickoli Lion plus he's named after a bear, that's pretty badass
NPS = Another form of land theft from the Indians LOL
Ike Rants
The bear is named after him
Ike Rants Other way around. Roosevelt was out hunting bear in the wilderness. Some pals had wounded a bear and wanted Roosevelt to take the finished shot for the cameras. Roosevelt declined because he thought it was disrespectful. And so, the story spread across America until a toy shop owner in NY decided to make a toy bear in honour of his President. The teddy bear.
He also cut the America's in half
Teddy was by far one of the coolest presidents, he got shot with a bullet in the chest and stood right back up, (his spectacle case saved his life)
KellerTheG Agreed. Andrew Jackson was the coolest president of them all for “killing” the bank!
Correction. He had a speech written in a hardcover book and that prevented the wounds from being fatal. He was shot while exiting his vehicle. He gave a 90 minute speech before getting medical attention.
MrPewpyPants 50 minute speech*
He was shot because he was running for his third term after Taft, his successor, did a lot of things Theodore hated, and was shot while delivering a campaign speech. The man who shot him thought running for a third term was unethical, but Theodore's folded up speech blocked the bullet, and after coughing and sensing no blood Theodore decided to continue the speech which lasted for 50 minutes
Temporary name I think he was shot because he opposed the creation of a central bank, or the IRS, or something to that effect.
To top it all off, the mountain was known as "6 Grandfathers" prior to its desecration.

He also passed the national parks act and (I believe not 100% sure) had a bear as a pet
RJ Bull he also lived most of his life with a bullet in his chest
Man got shot and his Speech saved him. He is awesome, kin of a legend
Teddy got shot in an assasination attempt while giving a speech. Instead of getting help he sat there and finished his speech. He also shook the shooters hand after he was apprehended before getting complete help. He was that badass, I think he deserves a spot on Mount Rushmore
I dont think he does i think that it is an isult to him being up there

They said in the video, it was land that was specifically "given" to the native Americans. They signed a treaty saying the land belonged to the native Americans, then went back on it. That's why they said it was stolen. Or, more stolen than other land.
I'd just like to point out(and this doesn't make it okay) but throughout history stuff like this has happened again and again. It's sort of just that in this case this is the one that is still around without being undone by a revolution or cultural assimilation. It's still crappy, but it was a crappier time.
ah but it's stolen native land, that they agreed to give back, only to then steal it again. which is worse... apparently.
To me, if you enjoy America, you are as guilty as you claim the white men of today should feel. You are advantageous to what America is today, and what we have today wouldn't exist if not for the "stolen land". So think about that, as you enjoy riding the coat tails of thieves and murderers, as you claim them to be.
If something isn't claimed, it isn't stolen. The Native Americans didn't even have proper civilizations and hence writing, formal politics, and land claims. They never claimed the land they lived on, making it Terra Nullius and up for grabs. In case of Mount Rushmore though, there was a formal agreement, so Adam has a point.
That New Day cameo though
Adam this entire episode is incorrect. As Nicholas Cage taught us, Mount Rushmore is a cover up to protect Cibola, the Lost City of Gold
How is this "Humor"?
It's just College now.
Liberal College*
