  • This will walk you through installing the CETE module so that you can control the factory air suspension on you SQ5. If you are not sure if you have this option, look for the factory red brake calipers, this should be a dead giveaway. Also if you have the S Sport package this has it as well.
    I am very aware at how often I say ‘here’ in this video LOL.
    I purchased mine used from someone on the Audizine forum but if you can't find it used you can reach out to Alex at: europrice.us/
    or you can email: contact@europrice.us
    If you have any questions about the install or something I didn’t cover please let me know.

    Hi Lance, great video thanks for this. Will be doing the same to my wife's car. I had a question regarding your front grill. mine has a license plate on there and there are 2 slats missing when I remove the plates. Did yours always have them or is there a specific part I should be looking for

    • @midtenn_life
      @midtenn_life  3 года назад +1

      You are welcome, glad you enjoyed it. Always looking to put up more content on our cars since there is none out there specifically for how to do mods, all kind of reviews but I already have the car LOL.
      So mine was already like that. I bought it in KY and they don't require front plates. I would contact your local dealerships parts department and ask them. They should be able to tell you if you can just add those parts on or if you need to order up a whole new grill. Sorry I don't have that specific answer but that is where I would start. They can probably give you the part number also and you can shop around to see if you can get it cheaper.

    • @iameags
      @iameags 3 года назад

      I had the same thing. If you want to remove the license plate bracket it will leave 2 rectangular holes. Unfortunately to cover the holes there is a part number from the dealer that sell you the rectangular covers. The bad thing is that they cost around 120.00 dollars for the set. You can try eBay but they cost around the same price as the dealer.

    Curious about your experience changing modes. Does the height change take effect right away? Also with show mode : just have ignition on, set show mode in app, then turn car of and it lowers? Thanks!

    • @midtenn_life
      @midtenn_life  2 года назад +1

      So yes, when you make a change it does happen right then. So if you are driving and change it, it will change, also a good chance you will get some sort of suspension height error but it goes away when you restart the car.
      I don't use show mode very much at all, but when i used it I would turn the car off, exit it, open the app and put it in show mode and it would change. Pretty sure the car is still supplying power for a little bit after the ignition is turned off so that is probably why it works.

    nice! can you set different heights to correspond to the different car drive select settings (ie comfort, dynamic, efficiency, auto)? so you don't have to constantly being going into the app to adjust the height and can just do it via the drive select buttons?
    for example I would want comfort mode to be set to max height to act as a makeshift nose lift to clear driveways and other obstacles but then would want to be able to switch to a lot lower height via dynamic mode (which I drive in most of the time) all while on the move via the car buttons rather than having to go back into the app after I clear the obstacle.

      you get to the suspension heights in each mode of the MMI ?. for example, leave the comfort mode with the factory settings and lower the auto mode by 10mm and the dynamic mode by 20mm?.

      There wasn’t as much discussion about the OBD11 when I looked into it, it was either CETE or airmatic links, I chose the CETE because I got a good deal on it and I liked the way the interface was. It overrides the factory settings as opposed to me changing what the factory settings truly are. So when I take this off it will default back to what it was automatically. Was just easier for me.
