Girl, you are personally responsible for me reaching for a bigger skirt size when the smaller one felt a bit tight at the waist. I was feeling insecure about going up a size, but then I thought "hey, Carrie would tell you to size up if it means you'll feel more comfortable. Size is just a stupid number on the tag". And I did get the bigger size and felt great about it! So thank you!
And honestly? I feel bad for women who think that other people's worth is just in their looks, because they probably think that of themselves as well. Imagine going through life thinking that how you look is the most important quality about you. Pretty sad. As for men who think like that, they're just not worthwhile. Like, I really couldn't care less about what some random asshole thinks about my size, I'm not trying to impress him anyway.

Oh, my darling! I am a 47 year old educator, and I have been working with young people for 24 years. I cannot tell you how important your channel is. Out of all the information our young people have access to, your channel is a rare gem. I just want to give you the biggest hug and reassure you by telling you to continue to fight the good fight. As I tell my students, haters will always be there, but never give up on your mission! Your message is vital. You are absolutely beautiful! I was on the diet/comparison train for years, and now at 47, I fully embrace all 220 pounds of my beautiful body. We need your voice! Keep doing your thing, beautiful girl. And yes, trust your burnout radar. Breaks are necessary. If the algorithm hides you, your fans will find you! Thank you, thank you, thank you for bravery, courage, creativity, intelligence, style, and grace. ❤️

I get picked on literally EVERY day for being too skinny (even though I've worked very hard and gained 30lbs over the past 3 years) . I wish we all could stop talking about each others bodies no matter what our size is. Instead say " I think you're funny " , " I admire your intelligence " , " you have killer determination " etc. Take physical appearance out of this. It hurts people.

I actually agree with that I really hate it when they say that they do not care about any stranger. Most people don't care about strangers and wouldn't do anything to help them. Yep it is simply an excuse to say something nasty. they do not care I mean they don't know the health status of somebody if they're skinnythere are people have a lot of illnesses that you're not going to see by looking at them. they don't care about that either I see people treat people with fibromyalgia or chronic pain terribly. they do not care about a stranger and they need to keep their opinions to themselves and worry about their own body and look at their own body I'm really tired of people judging what people wear how they look it's their life they can live it the way they want. life is short we could die at any minute nobody needs to care what anybody else is wearing or looking like or what weight they are or anyting they're doing like that that is personal as long as they're happy and it's their life they can live at the way they want to.

This is exactly it! And why it doesn’t matter (don’t internalize it.) & why it’s the person saying those things who is the problem. Problem is people don’t think of others as worthy of support or genuine caring. Trolling is such a disgusting inhuman problem.

*triggerwarning, don't read it if you have any issues regarding weightloss or anorexia or issues with your body-image.*
I wouldn't comment on the size of a stranger, but once I start caring for a RUclipsr and I see massive changes in their appearance, whether good or bad, I'd comment on it, out of concern.
But complete strangers, no, I wouldn't. No matter how strongly I might feel about it. It's too difficult to find the right words if you don't know someone.
I once went to McDonalds for a milkshake and saw the largest woman I've ever seen, being helped onto a couch, by two McDonalds-employees. Before she sat down, she started to eat her burger and they kept bringing the rest of her order. She didn't fit on the couch properly, they added chairs on the side for her upper-legs to rest on. She kept eating, didn't stop to comment. I will be honest, to me, she looked like a parody of a human. I was flabbergasted and felt like crying. This was like watching a public suicide happen.
And while she gestured with her hands, heaving loudly as she put the last bite of burger in and with her other hand, grabbed a new burger, I saw that she had oxygen-tanks on her disability-scooter and she'd taken those tubes off to be able to snack on the several burgers, nuggets and donuts.
I eventually couldn't stop myself from feeling nauseous and tearfully took my fries on the go, not that I felt like eating them anymore. It's been 7 years since I saw that woman and the image still haunts me. It was in no way funny or amusing, it was like Noface in Spirited away, shoving food in and we all just sat there and let her do this.
I still can't believe they just served her, I mean, I don't know what other options they had, but the empty look in her eyes, the grey skin, the noises she made as she was having trouble breathing and the struggle to lift her hand to her mouth, not from the oxygen, but the weight that pulled her arm down, I wish I hadn't seen it.
As soon as you are carrying yourself instead of walking, it's no longer enjoyable to walk. It's the struggling that just makes me tear up. There's no way I can help them, my presence would've caused nothing but bother to that lady, any smile would've looked sarcastic and ignoring her would've felt like ignoring a choking victim.
Sorry for making it sound graphic, but there are people that genuinely feel concerned. I used to be together with someone with severe weightproblems and I remember his struggles and how I never said anything, not to hurt his feelings, but feel like crying when he then turned around and got a load of fatty chicken from the fridge, only to hate himself afterwards.

I had so many people including my own mother telling me that I haven't looked that good since highschool and asked how I did it, my response was well I almost died so the weight was just falling off... sometimes I look at those pictures and feel like I looked so so sick but then sometimes I think about those comments and get really insecure about my size now... channels like yours has helped me a lot please continue making amazing videos..

Body positivity is something I’ve struggled with since I was 12. I LOVE this channel and you and all of the real and raw things you talk about. I feel seen and heard every time you post and it makes me so mad that people are so cruel to such a beautiful human being. I am a mid-size body and have felt so left out when I shop in stores because I don’t fit in some regular sizes and the plus size is too big. You’re doing amazing and just know you’re out here making a difference in my life and so many others 💛

Carrie, you’re such a beautiful soul. I haven’t been a long time fan, I just found you, somehow, in the last 6 months and have devoured your videos - loved your story times back then and love your videos today facing issues for mid to plus size struggles. You’re amazing. Keep doing what you do, the minority that leave hateful comments will always have something negative to say.
I almost never leave comments, but felt the need to on this. I love it, I adore you, keep going!

the point you made about commenting on losing weight really hit home for me. I had an eating disorder for years and as i was losing weight i was getting more and more compliments about how good I looked. Because I don't naturally have a slim body type to begin with, absolutely no one (including my parents who definitely noticed a change in my eating behaviors) gave a shit at all. On top of having a diagnosed depression disorder made my life hell for YEARS. I am so thankful that I found creators like you because I have finally become comfortable with myself regardless of what others say. I found your page at a really low point in my life in like 2018 and honestly you changed my life. I used to cry about my weight or my stomach and then I would remind myself of things you say like "people have stomachs...a concept" and things like that. I wouldn't buy some clothes if I had to go beyond a size 10, and at Target the other day I bought a size 14. It freaked me out, but then I remembered that every store is cut differently and the number on the tag does not define me nor does it have anything to do with my beauty. I am your height so watching those early videos where people thought you were lying about your size really resonated with me. You are someone I can relate to and the content you make has had such a positive impact on my self esteem and outlook on weight in general. You lift us all up with your videos and I just want you to know that whether you gained weight or not none of us give a single shit. You are so so beautiful inside and out and you are glowing now more than ever. I think I speak for all of us when I say we appreciate that you put so much of yourself out there for us and thank you. I am sorry that you get such awful comments and I give you a lot of credit and I think you are so brave.

7:30 I agree. I have friends who I haven’t seen in awhile who have lost a lot of weight and I don’t like to bring it up. I don’t know why they lost weight so I don’t want to say the same thing people say ”you lost so much weight, you look so good”. That just seems rude to me.

Chinchilla hats yeah it almost feels like you’re saying, “Oh you didn’t look good before but now you do.” Even if a person is saying it from a good place, a person with confidence issues and/or an eating disorder will hear it differently. Very good point.

Hey Carrie! I don't normally comment on RUclips videos, but I felt compelled to tell you about to the impact your videos have had on me after listening to the nasty things other people have been commenting. I haven't always had the most positive view/relationship with my body and these issues grew once I left for my first year of college this past fall. Rushing sororities, living in a dorm and seeing how other girls looked constantly, and just being in a new environment made being body positive extremely challenging. Your videos have always made me feel seen and normal. I appreciate that so much and cannot thank you enough! You rock :)

Gurl, you are looking FRESH and REFRESHED after your break!
Thanks for mentioning about not commenting on ppl’s weight when the scales are going DOWN. I’m currently in the process of loosing weight/upping my fitness/on a wellness journey, all that good stuff. It is really easy for that to be kind of an all-consuming endeavor. I think about it constantly, but that’s to be expected cause I am in the process of breaking bad habits and replacing them with healthy ones that will serve my body well!
What I find super frustrating is how my weight loss seems to be all anyone wants to talk about/comment on. I know it’s well intentioned, but at the same time, I am more than the pants size I just dropped! It makes me feel like if you are itching to congratulate me on loosing weight, you must have really thought I was huge before! I know I’m projecting my own insecurities on to the harmless congratulations... but I just wish it didn’t have to be SUCH a topic of discussion. So thanks again for reminding ppl that maybe just skip the unsolicited remarks on another human’s weight, lol.
Thanks for putting yourself out there with us, and I hope 2020 brings you and Drew health, WEALTH, and loads of blessings 🧡🧡🧡.
