its amazing how they nailed both Nikki Lauda and his wife in the movie Rush. She looks so much like her, but Nikki, is scary how well he is played in the movie by Daniel Bruhl. You hear Daniel and its like hearing Nikki!!!
I started watching F1 during Niki Lauda highs, but still have to watch Rush. But I dunno. I think it's like "Ford vs. Ferrari" melodrama and playstationlike "car battles" Blockbuster, where I - as a petrol head and decades of interest in classic motorsports - by a country mile was more stimulated and entertained watching Nate Adam's vivid documentaries "The 24 Hour War" and "Shelby American" displaying the real deal. After watching those I in fact have played with the thoughts of a likewise Niki Lauda documentary. But OK, I'll watch Rush next weekend and judge by this.
Chapman and Peterson hug each other happily. They don't know that 2 weeks later they will argue fiercely, Peterson will sign for another team and that this will be one of the reasons for his death in Monza 78.

He was an extremely, quick aggressive driver but didn't seem too good with car set ups and was particularly bad with choosing teams. He was like a second Jochen Rindt. I first saw him at Mallory Park in F2 in 1971. He was unbelievable wild and spectacular. I've never forgotten it. I was also at Woodcote at Silverstone in 1973 before the corner was remodelled. Massive understeer and howling tyres. Unforgettable.

With two 2nd place, a 3rd pace and a 5th place, it could be well argued Ronnie was one of the all-time leading candidates for WDC contenders who never quite pulled it off.
Very rare, unique, most excellent footage! 1978 - the season with the most beautiful cars ever!?
Some absolute legends in this video.
Brilliant footage of the 1978 F1 Austrian GP. Ronnie missed forever, he deserved to be World Champion. The Lotus 79 such a beautiful car!.
Brilliant! Ronnie was great also in wet conditions. Thanks!

This is amazing!!
It's incredible to see how chapman and Peterson looks and act like old friends. One months later in monza they looked like old enemies.
Priceless. Thanks !
Faster than a Bullet of a gun. Race in Peace, Ronnie. Hope Babro is by your side.
Danke!😃
Poor Ronnie. This is less than a month away from his terrible accident at Monza.

Saudades, saudades e só saudades!!! Meu Deus que época áurea da F1!
Ronnies größtes Rennen....eine Klasse für sich🇸🇪

Last race for Ronnie, salut
On his better days, Ronnie Peterson was a top notch driver.

Love that shot of Ronnie at 1.23
This was Ronnies last F1 win
Superior footage well done to the coordinator, brilliant job.

Grande Ronnie guardate come andava!
Lauda had Berni like a little kid. When he came out of the car and called him like a son come here to father. :)
yeah it’s refreshing viewing these fragments of a more bullshit-less time
Bloody marvellous!

Chi mi traduce il colloquio fra Eccleston Chapman e Peterson? Grazie
The actress they chosen to play Marlene sure looks like here. It's not just Daniel Bruhl and Chris Hemsworth who looked like the people they played.
i wonder how many crew got injured in the pits in those days..
Is it Helmut Marko with red microphone ? 10:46

The Lotus cars were way ahead anything else that year.
At least after Brabham were forbidden to use that huge fan in the back.
