I love your positive attitude. But honestly, what you guys deal with, pretty regularly, would keep me away from living an RV lifestyle. I love my forced air heating and a warm comfy bed without worrying about who's camping next to me. You guys are amazing and I give you both credit for living your life and trying something most of us wouldn't have the courage to do. Stay safe & warm.

It was definitely more private and quiet than many sites we've stayed in 😅 If the lights had turned off, it would have actually been a pretty relaxing stay!
Right? Every single problem here was self inflicted. They let their vehicles run out of gas at night, they did not understand the electrical system of their own vehicle, did not secure a spot for the evening before night etc. They are their own worst enemy, good thing they laugh through it all LOL

I don’t know how in the world you two can keep up the positive attitude. When my husband and I travel in our RV we do pretty good the first couple of weeks. But after we have blow outs, and other mechanical problems we are ready for home. Take care you two.

You're going to love Lynchburg! My boyfriend and I lived near that area for a few months for work and loved it! Not sure if you guys are still there, if you're into hiking, and how the weather is over there now, but I highly recommend hiking the Three Peaks of Otter! Sharp Top is one of my favorite hikes :) Safe travels!
not sure if anyone's mentioned this or you've already heard about it from research but there are a bunch of Love's travel centers that have spaces specifically for RVs. not a ton, not in every state, but worth looking into for the future. i think the prices vary depending on the location, but the one i stayed in and some of the others i've researched seem reasonable for a one night stay w/electricity and water hookups. i've only stayed in one but i felt incredibly safe. and the convenience of a gas station across the way is really nice.
I live in Maryland and as you got closer and closer to the state the more excited I would get. After the video.... a drive through with a mention of MD..... I was highly upset. I was looking forward to seeing where you all went in Maryland along with the food.
Ya, that was definitely not our intention to fly through. We didn't explain very well in the video, but we'd already booked an Airbnb in Virginia and just got too behind to do any major stop on our drive there. We'll definitely come back at some point. I'd love to try to track down where I lived when I was born and do some fun coastal things. We'll have to come back in warmer weather when we can really get out and explore 🙌
Sometimes it does help to totally turn the battery off. Then when you turn it back on again, it kind or resets the system and your switched will work again. It's easy to think of it as a hardware problem, but instead think of it more like a software problem. Treat the switches like a computer that's frozen (which is what they are) Just restart/reboot!
Aha! I know where you are staying in Lynchburg! That is such a quirky place to stay. Don't want to spoil the surprise, but can't wait for the next video.
We had a travel trailer(s) for years. Your RV should have propane? Then a better isolated from the trucks battery. That’s there will keep you warm all night. Do you have a equalized hitch? I thought I saw a little dip in the middle. I see you using a diesel heater. They cool. I suggest multiple means of heat.

Just an unsolicited suggestion. Have a second diesel can you can switch between. With the amount your heater uses at night and the troubles getting space enough at gas stations, it would make life easier on you. And a filled battery for emergency use. You'll be much more content.

Hey guys, I'm enjoying your videos. When you park in a parking lot look around for an area you won't take up so many spots. When you did your overhead, there were quite a few spots that appeared to be made for a rig like yours.
Unfortunately our rig is too long to pull through normal spots, so we have to park sideways, otherwise we'd block full driving lanes. We always choose spots furthest in the back away from busy entrances/exits 👍
With the pumps closed and it being so insanely cold around Christmas I was afraid that you might have experienced frozen diesel (when it gets too cold it jells and won't flow). I was so glad when your truck started right up in the morning! Happy New Year and safe travels!

Parking lots can be hard. The first night on our year trip was spent in a Les Schwab parking lot. We had two blowouts on our first leg. Well, our trailer had only one spare so that was an experience. We didn’t sleep well either. There was. Train track about 100 yards from where we parked.
Well we watched this adventure and identified every place you stopped in your quest for fuel… as you were in our town! I’m sorry your DE visit was cold and not so entertaining. So many interesting places I could have recommended…. Weather permitting. Maybe next time. Safe travels!
I work 3rd shift. An eye mask is a life saver! I received a weighted eye mask last year and it is AMAZING! I saw one on Pottery Barn's website that's similar to mine. Don't know why, but I sleep so much better with it than I did with the flimsy silky one I had been using for years. I highly recommend!
Great attitude for both in a bad situation. My ex (wife at the time) and I were in a Class B RV, and she got extremely angry every time we pulled in a parking lot, just because I parked away from the entrance full with cars. Sure we are small enough to fit (tightly) a regular parking lot, but I want privacy and avoid possible getting stuck. Can't never understand her argument.

Your set up is newer, but I live in my camper and if I pull a fuse, or blow one, a small light comes on to notify me, but nothing dangerous. A light folded scarf around your eyes would be soft, he slept badly, but she woke up several times and he looked like he was. 🤣
Just a thought...could there be a fuse out that resulted in lights issue? We had a series of disasters this weekend. Just when one was resolved another took its place. Hugs...and warm thoughts w/lights out.
I've been in that rest stop a bunch of times. I know everyone has different "rules" of what makes it count that you have visited a place. I don't count visiting a place if you are just in the airport or drive through it without leaving the highway to stop somewhere. So technically I've never been to Delaware even though I driven through it over a 100 times... not an exaggeration 🤣🤣🤣
Great welcome center - when I travel that way it's my 1st stop to make a bathroom run and coffee (sadly its only 1hr away from my house so it is a bit close for a break :-)

It's so funny, you all are always complaining about being so cold and the one time I saw you in a decently warm coat, you were inside the truck. Those aren't fuses on the panel, they're airplane-style circuit breakers. If they pop out, you push them back in to reset
And they are pulled out to open them

Travel tip… I always have headbands with me when I travel because I’m a runner and I started using them as eye masks. It works beautifully!
I am a avid/and loyal watcher of your videos. I think I can speak for everyone when I say " more videos!" 2 per week is just not enough.

Lynchburg has some neat walking trails. They have one that goes through an old rail tunnel. We always stop on our way to Charlottesville.

I personally use my winter hat as an eye cover.
You know that in a pinch you can use your winter hats as a mask. Just pull it over your eyes, and it keeps your head warm.
