I always found it funny that DS2 had rushed development but at the same time was the only dark souls to change enemy placement and drops during NG+ runs (I think ds3 only had the new rings)

Everytime I see a metal chest in DS2, I bonk it, just to be safe, regardless if I actually already know whether it is a mimic or not. But in the ng+ run I just thought "no way this is a mimic right here in majula, I would've surely remembered this from my first playthrough" - ded

I feel like the Pinwheel fight with this mod is how the normal Pinwheel fight should've been like. Pinwheel is easy to kill so they should've definitely made a lot more clones to make the fight a bit more challanging.
Pinwheel should've had a second phase where the three masks split off into three different enemies with different fighting styles (A warrior, rogue and mage maybe).
Jump button, jump heavy attacks, and guard counters. All stuff that makes ER so easy and makes me feel practically naked without them in older Souls games.
In DS1 backstabs are instant so enemies can perform them even if your back is towards them for just a millisecond. Rolling away from enemies without lock-on counts as them facing your back which causes a backstab to trigger.
Dark Souls 2 is a bad souls game, but that still makes it a good game in the grand scheme of things. People just can't help comparing it to 1 and 3 so it seems "terrible," but in a hypothetical universe where DS2 was the only game in the franchise people would likely hold it in fairly high regard.
The double Pinwheel is what the real fight should have been, and maybe even two real pinwheels and change the lore to be that they each have one mask and are always fighting about the third one, or something like that JAJAJAJA

Thanks for sharing the pre-release footage of Elden Ring! I can tell it was early build, because although the enemies stunlocked you, never gave you a chance to breathe, and wombo-combo-ed you, you could still survive one or two hits before dying.
My favourite part of the Manus fight was Aggy finding out the Silver pendant exists and it blew his mind. Then he figured out how to dodge the circle magic attack and didn’t need it anyway.
Capra demon is my least favorite fight in the series so just the thought of fighting 2 Capra demons and 4 dogs in that godforsaken hellscape of a boss arena makes my head hurt.

honestly ornsetin and awnsteen and smough and smoe works pretty well because the bosses were designed to have their attack line up like it's one boss using multiple weapons. Reminds me of how well the sisters of battle fight works in hollow knight. It's a trio fight, but all the attack patterns are coordinated between the 3 sisters.
Favorite part is at 3:30 when the Taurus Demon jumps on the tower and a good number of people in chat just realized for the first time that he can do that
Wouldve been interesting to see how the great scythe does, best aoe in the whole game. Also a bit of poise wouldve gone a long way in that early game, wolf ring early is great.
Bit of a necro but Black Knight Greataxe is extremely versatile for these two specific purposes, it's definitely one of the most underrated weapons in the game imo, probably down to the fact nobody bothers to kill the Black Knight with the Greataxe in the catacombs and even less get the drop.

Im pretty sure the dragon fire from specifically the drakes is actually an environmental effect so its not affected by friendly fire settings
They just push each other out of the bridge, then gravity does the job.
There is no way the fire can Instakill a big enemy like Hellkite Drake.
he did not showcase the fiery valley of double dragon posteriors... which would have been the ultimate friendly fire and framerate showdown

Fun fact about the mimics: They can't calculate movements if more than one Mimic exists in the same room as them. Their AI literally shits itself.

I tried it, very satisfying killing 10+ hollows at once but it falls off against bosses. Ranged attacks and firestorm are the strongest against bosses
