I used rivets and liquid weld. At the bottom I pinch it with biscript and used stainless self topping screw. The thickness is just 16 gauge it doesn’t bother the door.
Saw your other video - didn't the extra layer of metal and the extra thickness of the tape make the interior door parts not fit as well? I've got the slip on rocker panels - afraid to rip everything out though. Worried that the doors won't be able to shut because that bottom door moulding is now too raised up.

Sorry, did you use rivets to attach the rocker panel to the bottom of the areas where the doors close?
What did you do with the inside bottom door trim/moulding/seal material? Did you reattach it?
