The only thing that could make me more excited for a first person 40k game would be a first person 40k game in proper battlefields and able to play as Acadians, Catachans, Kreigers, etc. being able to do proper battles against a force like the Orks or the Tyranids as Astra Militarum aould be incredible, and I can’t wait for this. A new 40k title has been needed for ages

I'm not sure that's possible. Unless you're playing as an Astartes, the average guardsman have a very short lifespam on the battlefield, that including the elite units. Only way to play as the protagonist is in very specific scenarios like in Darktide or Necromunda.

Yeah they're way too close to a planetary body to be safely translating. But exiting the warp at the edge of the system and then spending 10 hours cruising to the planet isn't as cool.

It's kinda funny how there's no white men in this trailer. I mean it is a franchise founded in England and this game is made in Sweden. Almost everybody is using a English accent and the franchise shows heavy themes of Catholicism and WWII esthetics. Aaaah probably doesn't have anything to do with racial politics. They're probably gentrifying the franchise on accident. Liked the trailer but very sad to see that trend pop up in Darktide.
