I discovered Miitopia last year after never having heard of it and I absolutely fell in love with it. The soundtrack is catchy, but also very emotional at times. I particularly love the Sage's theme because it's woven throughout his appearances in the story, and I'm an absolute sucker for music motifs. I was so frustrated at the lack of enthusiasm for this game when I finally discovered it because I thought it deserved a lot more love. To see it coming to the Switch makes me so happy. I hope it sells really well and has a lot of new features. I think the post-game has a lot of issues so I'm hoping they fix it, because it has a lot of potential and is really good, but it can get a bit repetitive and some of those achievements are near impossible to get (I'm stuck at like 95%). I'm also hoping they ease up on the post-game grinding, because it's all set up really well in the main game but after that, it takes FOREVER to get to level 50! But even if it's a straight port with no major changes, I'll still love it. I can't wait to play it.
I can’t agree more bye everything you said😵👌👏👏but I really want the switch version to get some new classes that we can choose from in the story not after the game was over bc the post game didn’t keep me hooked like the Story 🙃
I've already beaten this game a few years ago and still play it to this day because I want to 100% it someday. I just like hearing or seeing people talk about this game and you did that perfectly without spoiling it for newcomers. I'm definitely subscribing and adding this video to my favorite videos playlist. Great job!
Shep and I played Miitopia, and we both loved it because of the freedom it gave us to express it's story! I did have some complaints though about the lack of content, though overall, it is still a worthwhile experience that I believe still deserves attention. Thank you for giving it the kind words it deserves! Also, on the topic of Miitopia and Tomadachi Life, I would have honestly have liked if they were treated as either a bundle game or as one game entirely, though there is nothing wrong with considering them separate games, it's just that I see that their concepts can be combined. I mean, a life simulation game combined with an RPG, I mean there is potential there, what with the friendship system, the shops, clothes, rooms, news station, and amusement park. Of course, I am not think about just hybriding the themes of these games, that in my opinion would create some weird moments, so instead I am thinking of why not separate the Miitopia and Tomadachi life into the Dreamworld and Real World respectively, allowing for both types of players to get what they want. I mean, the Miis are imagining Miitopia, so why wouldn't they carry over everything they experienced into the Dreamworld? And also, I would have loved for there to be a game room/gallery that you can play "minigames" which are really deluxe versions of the Streetpass Mii Plaza games, along with the Nintendo Land games and why not just place these in an Arcade room, no more of that waiting for it to open nonsense honestly, those belong to real events. And I would also like for the Sports games from Wii Sports Resort to come back to the Tomadachi Life part because why not? If there is anything you wish for me to explain, just say the word and I'll will reply and edit. Hope you are having a wonderful rest of your day and once again thanks for the review of Miitopia, it really reassures me that there are people who like the game and it gives hope to Mii fans! Best of luck with your RUclips journey!
this game has so much content i cannot even describe. the soundtrack is absolutely amazing and anyone who plays it will instantly fall in love. i've had the game on my 3DS already and beat it, and i preordered miitopia for the switch yesterday because i love it so much, i am so extremely happy it's coming to the switch.
As someone who loves creating Miis, and has 180+ already created on my Switch, I was already excited to try this game on the Switch when it releases, especially considering I never got a chance to play it on the 3DS, but you've made me more excited to try the game out now.
I love this game. I actually put some OCs on my Miitopia team when I first played it, and they are now some of my most beloved characters (like the couple of an apprentice mage and a demon knight from another world, and the princess who ran away from home with a castle's chef).
I beat the game on 3DS, I LOVED IT. I named my MAIN Terraria world after Karkaton because of the impact it left on me. From the wacky classes you can be, to the crazy miis you can have, and even the somewhat deep story, everything about the game is good.
My favorite part of this game is that *you* can shape the narrative. You can craft your own stories, characters, interactions, I love it. And the battles are great too, you may not do much but I really wouldn’t have it any other way. Just seeing these characters interact and fight and help each other is great.
I just hope they'll allow us to control our teammates in battle becuase it's really frustrating when your teammates just refuse to do things you want them too. Honestly I'm so glad Miitopia got remastered, I hope they bring Miis back in full force now, they have so much charm in them
do you remember that time when you were playing that one with the dark lord and it's a little video then the warrior does some sort of omega slash? they should add that to the switch port
Funnily enough, Miitopia is apparently rated 18+ in Russia because of the gay soulmates. I'm very disappointed in you and your homophobia, Russian ratings agency. Well, I probably won't get this game because I am actually very uncreative and bad at making funny Miis. Still, I'm glad Miis are getting more of a focus again with this and Mario Golf's story mode. They have been sorely underused in Switch games so far and I am actually quite fond of them, in spite of my inability to design good Miis. I know, it's very surprising to hear that the guy with the Mii-profile picture is fond of Miis. Truly shocking.
I wasn't sure about getting it on 3ds but seeing it on switch made me think about it more. And now seeing you talk so highly of it just makes me wanna play it! I never thought that game would be so good.
Absolutely, it is so underrated, I remember being so confused why it wasn't as popular as Tomodachi Life when it first came out... And the MUSIC. I can listen to Mansion Macabre and the New Lumos theme for hours, the soundtrack is probably the most underrated part of it all.
miitopia is by far my favorite mii game. it’s so fun and I love just showing my friends what happens with characters I made based off of them. I’m really happy it’s coming to switch !!!
I picked tank for my main hero during World 3, and if not for my other team members having actually good classes, I would've been moaning and groaning the whole way through. On top of your point of team attacks only lowering friendship instead of raising it, I had little control over when my team could heal outside of HP sprinkles, and all of my moves costed MP. I switched back to my first class (chef) as soon as I possibly could.
@@blockeontheleafeon Pretty sure it's just you. It is better to have the player be the tank over one of your other party members, but overall having a tank on your team sucks.
Man the memories... I remember buying it right after it was out for my nintendo 3ds. I was never so invested in a game before and after. And woww, There's so much new features now ! Especially in character design !
2:20 bruh just make the gay mii in tomodachi life the opposite gender it’s meant to be and make it look like the actual gender, if you know what I mean
@Darling Vexa Art also, I think the devs of Nintendo would of actually wasted time and money making unnatural relationships, there’s also a thing called reproduction, and you can’t do that with a gay couple, so they would waste time and money making it so if it’s a gay couple, (plus you would have to select the mii being gay most likely) they would have to make it so they can’t have the thought of having a child
@Darling Vexa Art When did I say that? Bro you commented like 5 times about a gimmick in a video game like its the end of the world. Its not that serious
Miitopia slaps so hard, my favourite videogame of all time by FAR! I adore it so much, I cannot wait to replay it again (for the... 4th time hehe.) (I personally play with a cast of OCs and a story I love to build on (i end up with a more detailed plot than you get with the normal story). I also use Auto-mode so it’s like as if I’m witnessing my miis making their own decisions and I’m just watching over them! That makes each playthrough so unique and special as I make more and more small adjustments to the casting choices to make it even better than my previous run!)
My first console was the Wii, and I remember always making so many Miis on that thing when I wasn't playing the games lmao. Miis are so silly and still are super charming to me today. I love character customization, life sims, and I also love fun adventure type games with great stories, RPGs basically! I never got a chance to play any Mii centric games, so when I saw Miitopia announced for Switch, it seems to tick all of my boxes! Plus it seems so silly and I love silly things, so I'm definitely gonna try to check out Miitopia when I can!
Some of my most memorable childhood characters are Miis I made on the Wii. I ported many of them over to the Switch and can't wait to finally really use them all!
I’ve played the original game and I wholeheartedly agree with all the points you made, I can’t wait to get the game when it releases again, it just hold such a unique experience. I used to imagine a game like this years before it’s release, and when I found it, it has definitely become one of my favorite games
My 3ds broken 2 months ago and I never finished miitopia and lost my tomadachi life save so I’m so glad that they added miitopia. If it gets good sales they will likely add tomadachi life either reboot or a sequel (if it’s a reboot they’ll probably add a lot of stuff either way) the game is so interesting and fun to me tbh
I can’t wait for the full version ;-; I finished the entire demo in less than 24 hours so I’m getting super impatient, but when it does come out I’m definitely buying it
miitopia is the key to saving the miiverse. it shows how much potential can come from one character you can make in 15 seconds, from that to a whole 30 hour long game! as a big miitopia fan im super hyped for this.
This is one of my favorite games, it has so much replay value to it because of all the different characters you can become and such. I’m on my third play through with new characters once again it’s so much fun! I’m so excited for the release on switch
So if I would add anything to the port of Miitopia, it would be a side story, let me explain. So after you reach a certain point of the game (probably the first area), you would be able to access the side story in which you play as a different mii of your choice. They would be influenced by your main mii to do the right thing and go on a quest. They would have new classes and be harder than the original game because you don’t have the spirit. Instead, they would have a much bigger inventory so they can use more food. You would encounter new areas and even some familiar ones as you help people along the way. Also, instead of just getting koi’s from inn’s their faces would be stuck on monsters, having to fight them in order to rescue them for them to be on your team. It would be shorter and ⅓ as long as the main game. The final boss would be The Dark Lord after taking a different approach to his castle. He would be stronger than the original and dealing more damage. You defeat him, only for him to finish you off, blasting you with his final attack, having only the main party member survive as he gets blasted off to the traveler's hub. In the end actually, he weakened The Dark Lord, making it possible for the main character to defeat him, so in the end, he was a hero. This MIGHT be a little to ambitious, but I think it would be cool.
“Thank you so much for watching” I already beaten the game a long time ago before I decided to watch it (yes, both versions) but you’re welcome, I decided to watch because I wanted to see your reason to play Miitopia
I love Miitopia it was my favourite 3ds game, I am so happy it is coming to switch, it was such an original concept and needed WAY more love. I think it is amazing how much you can customize, when ever I think of this game I smile, and I can't wait to see the updates for the switch!

I’m super excited! My mom plans on getting us a switch and I hope she allows us to play Miitopia. If not then I’ll happily sit back and watch videos on RUclips about the game while I hopelessly pine after the game.
I know we were getting a switch version of this now but I didn't actually look into like how they were advertising it so I'm glad I stumbled upon this video and I'm glad that someone is praising a gym that got overlooked when it very first came out. I still have the 3DS version with me now.
I remember spending lots and lots of time just messing around with the demo of the game on my 2ds, I'm going to have to get try the real deal when it releases for the switch.
I thought the $50 price tag was ridiculous at first, then I played the demo. I still think it’s overpriced, BUT OMG YOU *MUST* PLAY THIS GAME IT’S SO GOOD!!
As someone who owns the 3DS game I really didn't think I needed to experience this again. But I bit the bullet and caved in eventually. Glad I did. It brightened up my day after a bad week almost immediately. They REALLY should have added multiple saves though. And it baffles me they still haven't. I want to play through this more than once without needing to delete my save you know.
I'm just so happy that Miitopia is being revived like the cult classic it is. It's one of those games that when you watch others play it on RUclips, it makes you feel like you're missing out on something by not picking it up. In particular, I hope Game Grumps give it a try (not counting the old Grumpcade series they did on it, I want specifically Dan and Arin to play).

Nintendo: *horse*
Me: "take my money already"
*sees hair physics* im buying again-
I've already beaten this game a few years ago and still play it to this day because I want to 100% it someday. I just like hearing or seeing people talk about this game and you did that perfectly without spoiling it for newcomers. I'm definitely subscribing and adding this video to my favorite videos playlist. Great job!
I'm so nastolgic for this game. I'm really glad Nintendo is finally looking at mii's a little more. Im so exited!
This game is so underrated!
this game has so much content i cannot even describe. the soundtrack is absolutely amazing and anyone who plays it will instantly fall in love. i've had the game on my 3DS already and beat it, and i preordered miitopia for the switch yesterday because i love it so much, i am so extremely happy it's coming to the switch.
i trust you more than my own grandmother. i will love this game
I hope your grandmother doesn't come after me for revenge
I 100% agree, this was one of my favorite games on the 3ds, and i was so excited when the announced the port to switch during the direct.
2:12 Did you know Miitopia got a 18+ rating in Russia for that? And I mean the fact it could happen between two miis of the same gender.
As someone who loves creating Miis, and has 180+ already created on my Switch, I was already excited to try this game on the Switch when it releases, especially considering I never got a chance to play it on the 3DS, but you've made me more excited to try the game out now.
I enjoyed this game so much on the DS, and I’m looking forward to the Switch version :)
out of all the video reviews ive seen for miitopia, this is the best one!
If this game doesn’t become famous i’ll cry. We need mii games so bad, Tomodachi life.
I love this game.
I actually put some OCs on my Miitopia team when I first played it, and they are now some of my most beloved characters (like the couple of an apprentice mage and a demon knight from another world, and the princess who ran away from home with a castle's chef).
I didn't get the chance to play miitopia on the 3ds but I'll definitely play it on my switch
I beat the game on 3DS, I LOVED IT. I named my MAIN Terraria world after Karkaton because of the impact it left on me. From the wacky classes you can be, to the crazy miis you can have, and even the somewhat deep story, everything about the game is good.
When people say Miitopia is easy:
Mid-Bosses and Fiends: *laughs in massive fast damage*
My favorite part of this game is that *you* can shape the narrative. You can craft your own stories, characters, interactions, I love it. And the battles are great too, you may not do much but I really wouldn’t have it any other way. Just seeing these characters interact and fight and help each other is great.
I love this game ever since it was released
I just hope they'll allow us to control our teammates in battle becuase it's really frustrating when your teammates just refuse to do things you want them too.
Honestly I'm so glad Miitopia got remastered, I hope they bring Miis back in full force now, they have so much charm in them
I missed this game. So excited to get a switch port. :D
I played the demo after missing out on the 3Ds and all I can say is WOW I LOVE THIS.
do you remember that time when you were playing that one with the dark lord and it's a little video then the warrior does some sort of omega slash? they should add that to the switch port
I’m glad I’m going into a video without spoiling myself, as I’ve already played the full game. I enjoyed it until it’s very end :)
Tbh they dont even go like they are in a romantic relationships, all they go os that they are really good friends.
good news, in the 3DS version, they let you search for pre made miis by other people, so don't worry about creativity
im homophobic
I wasn't sure about getting it on 3ds but seeing it on switch made me think about it more. And now seeing you talk so highly of it just makes me wanna play it! I never thought that game would be so good.
I'm not even exaggerating when i say i almost shit my pants when this came out
Absolutely, it is so underrated, I remember being so confused why it wasn't as popular as Tomodachi Life when it first came out... And the MUSIC. I can listen to Mansion Macabre and the New Lumos theme for hours, the soundtrack is probably the most underrated part of it all.
If this game dose well we will prob get a Mii sports!
miitopia is by far my favorite mii game. it’s so fun and I love just showing my friends what happens with characters I made based off of them. I’m really happy it’s coming to switch !!!
When I heard this I played the 3DS just to complete it so that I could 100% this on the switch
100%!? Good luck, you're going to need it for all the food and monsters.
@@jjr_the_tree I have it all planned out
The demo came out!! I absolutely loved it!! Can't wait for the release!!
Just a warning, anyone who hasn't played this before. Don't pick tank. He just ends up pissing everyone off from my experience.
If you stick with Tank if it's player controlled, Ultra Laser is REALLY good. Maybe that's just me.
@@blockeontheleafeon Pretty sure it's just you. It is better to have the player be the tank over one of your other party members, but overall having a tank on your team sucks.
When I first played, I decided to stay as a Tank when given the option to change, instead of switching back to Mage or Cat.
It’s literally one of my favorite games of all time, such a masterpiece.
Nintendo is basically stealing my money
Man the memories... I remember buying it right after it was out for my nintendo 3ds.
I was never so invested in a game before and after.
And woww, There's so much new features now !
Especially in character design !
2:20 bruh just make the gay mii in tomodachi life the opposite gender it’s meant to be and make it look like the actual gender, if you know what I mean
@Darling Vexa Art Bro chill its not that serious
Yeah, geez
@Darling Vexa Art also, I think the devs of Nintendo would of actually wasted time and money making unnatural relationships, there’s also a thing called reproduction, and you can’t do that with a gay couple, so they would waste time and money making it so if it’s a gay couple, (plus you would have to select the mii being gay most likely) they would have to make it so they can’t have the thought of having a child
@Darling Vexa Art When did I say that? Bro you commented like 5 times about a gimmick in a video game like its the end of the world. Its not that serious
@Darling Vexa Art Alright I see. But chill out tho
Miitopia slaps so hard, my favourite videogame of all time by FAR! I adore it so much, I cannot wait to replay it again (for the... 4th time hehe.)
(I personally play with a cast of OCs and a story I love to build on (i end up with a more detailed plot than you get with the normal story). I also use Auto-mode so it’s like as if I’m witnessing my miis making their own decisions and I’m just watching over them! That makes each playthrough so unique and special as I make more and more small adjustments to the casting choices to make it even better than my previous run!)
Fun fact, because of the Soul Mates thing with the relationship system having no gender bounds, Miitopia is rated 18+ in Russia.
And it remains the only 18+ rated Nintendo game! :D
Lmao russia is pathetic
I knew it was R-18 there but wow that’s why?
@@Stormimi Yeah, from what I remember, there’s a law or rating requirement or something in Russia where same-sex couples can’t be shown to children.
I have been playing the 3DS version for 2 years, the game never got old, i am excited to play it in HD soon.
Oh, I've played Miitopia before. I. LOVE. IT.
With all of my heart.
It's an amazing game bro. 🤍
I can’t wait for the full version ;-; I finished the entire demo in less than 24 hours so I’m getting super impatient, but when it does come out I’m definitely buying it
miitopia is the key to saving the miiverse. it shows how much potential can come from one character you can make in 15 seconds, from that to a whole 30 hour long game! as a big miitopia fan im super hyped for this.
i started playing the demo yesterday and i’m already hooked, im so excited for the full game to come out!!
This is one of my favorite games, it has so much replay value to it because of all the different characters you can become and such. I’m on my third play through with new characters once again it’s so much fun! I’m so excited for the release on switch
I don’t necessarily agree about the ‘most exiting announcement’ however I am exited. Great video
Finally! Someone actually remembers this game and has a good take on it! Love the video!
“Thank you so much for watching”
I already beaten the game a long time ago before I decided to watch it (yes, both versions) but you’re welcome, I decided to watch because I wanted to see your reason to play Miitopia
I love Miitopia it was my favourite 3ds game, I am so happy it is coming to switch, it was such an original concept and needed WAY more love. I think it is amazing how much you can customize, when ever I think of this game I smile, and I can't wait to see the updates for the switch!
When I saw the Miitopia box art in the direct I was so happy. This is one of my favorite games of all time and I'm so excited to pick it up on Switch.
Also very good video :)
I’m super excited! My mom plans on getting us a switch and I hope she allows us to play Miitopia. If not then I’ll happily sit back and watch videos on RUclips about the game while I hopelessly pine after the game.
Thanks! I got this game already and haven’t played the full thing yet. It sounds totally worth it.
Miitopia is my FAVORITE 3DS game! And it was my first 3ds game!
Honestly this is my all time favourite game I have played this game for over 1000 hours while doing 5 different save files and every time i had so much fun and I will definitely be getting this!
I'm so glad more people are going to be able to play and understand one of the best 3ds games of all time!
Incredibly excited for the port. Loved the demo back when it first dropped so much I actually grinded my friendship level between two characters to around 50, and of course played the main game multiple times. Hopefully we'll also get even more Mii games.
