@@DNAMobileGaming Daijisho was good while it lasted. ES-DE is superior in every way possible, and most importantly is actively being developer. Daijisho dev pretty much gave up on the app. Dude had something great going and went MIA 🤦🏻♂
You can add your own you just need to name the box art/videos the same name as your game file inside the corresponding folders for each system. I tested this already and it works great!
Well this is a front end that helps catalogue your games to be easier to navigate to and select. Retroarch/Standalone emulators basically the back end to this after you've set them up the way you want.
Can you do a Guide how to split the Game directory? I running out of Space :D and so I need "/internalStore/ES-DE/Games" and "/ExternalStorage/ES-DE/Games" as Game Folder
Emulation Station allows this now? I didn't know we could do this, as I use Daijisho daily because it allows me to pick multiple locations as it abides by the Scoped Storage rules Google enforced.
If I install this, it has no effect on my current emulator configs right? I only ask because I have used this on a Batocera setup and the emulators were already part of the install. Like this would be like me not having Daijisho for example and then well using Daijisho. I just point each system to its respective, already installed and already configured emulators. The only major change would be me having to move my roms and redirect each emulator to those new folders correct?
That is correct I already did a setup guide with 15 emulator and time stamps but had to share a standalone guide how to use the latest ES-DE because a few things have changed. Even Retroarch you still have to manually go into it and set your configurations, unlike EmuDeck for PC where it tries to setup configurations for you.

Putting games on the SD card doesn't show a huge difference in loading games from what I've noticed at least. As long as your SD card is real and fast you'll be fine.
I haven't found a way I plugged mine in and left the screen on for over an hour the first time I scraped media. One tip would be to scrape a few systems at a time maybe systems you're currently playing then do more when you aren't gaming.
from my knowledge save files have nothing to do with ES-DE it depends on emulator you are using, if you using RetroArch then you can open the save directory then copy it to save directory of retroarch android, it should work.
The rules can be created by checking the package name of Lime3DS then creating a custom system like I've done with Switch. I reverted back to Daijisho though for a few reasons unless this front end changes more I won't use it for now.
I've always just used the Retroid Launcher, but this does look really nice.

It's really my favorite front end now, Daijisho was my go to on Android until this, next they need to develop a way to load your Android games.

I always found Skyline to be a nuisance even though some games ran well Yuzu really did its justice by the end.

I have a new update for ES-DE what's the process of updating? I do not want to mess up all the setup I have made.
You SHOULD be able to just update over top of the old version so as long as the developer didn't change major configurations.

is there a fix for the non-launching Redream problem ?
It's the issue with Redream they haven't updated the app to accept URI paths and I haven't messed with Redream yet using ES-DE.

NO you have to manually select the front end currently.

It's nice but what a dumb ass finicky App. It needs It's own ROM folders, there's no mouse or touchscreen support, it can't pick up bin files for PS1.
