Giada was just stressed because they told her to hurry up because of time issue for the show. She worked hard, trying to find out what Ellen's prefers-chilli, peers so surely it's not that she doesn't like Ellen but she was just under time related stress

In Italian, a vowel that precedes a double consonant is open, not closed. So the "e" in spaghetti (AND penne) is pronounced with an open e (eh) like echo, not a closed e (eI) like eight. So spaghetti would only be pronounced the way Giada says it if it was spelled "spagheti." Every time I hear Giadi mispronounce those words, it's like fingernails on a chalkboard.

I'm italian so I understand the italians down here concerning about the way she cooked pasta. But, come on, she actually boiled the water and than she put the pasta in the pan and she cooked it only for 9 minutes. This is actually a miracle. I mean, it's not completely right, but is so much better than how americans usually cook italian dishes.

I'm with Giada on the "penne", "spaghetti" and other Italian pasta names. Just stress the second to last syllable of the word, and it should be ok (could get even better with the right accent ☺️).

Chelsea Taylor knowing how to pronounce foreign words properly is not that useless and someone cares about it and wants to know more.
There is nothing wrong with someone informing about the correct pronounciation: it's a good chance to learn something new, to satisfy a curiosity and to know more informations about a topic.
