  • BREAKING: A Georgia judge has recused Judge Ural Glanville from the YSL RICO case after several defense attorneys filed motions to remove the judge. The requests for removal picked up when Young Thug attorney Brian Steel was held in contempt and ordered to jail after he exposed an ex parte meeting Judge Glanville had in his chambers with prosecutors and their star witness, Kenneth "Lil Woody" Copeland.

Young Thug faces nearly a dozen charges, including possession of drugs and weapons, participation in criminal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act. The rapper was arrested in May of 2022 along with 27 other alleged gang members. Many of those defendants have taken plea deals in the case.

Woody saying he was pleading the 5th the whole time? What about the coercive nature of the meeting? It didn't fit criteria for ex-parte. They forced him into immunity deal when he pushed back. What about the comment "Judge, close your ears." ?????? U can't trust this office to do anything right! They don't even know the law that well, especially Glanville! I am outraged that the judge found Glanville's ex-parte meeting okay. It is a dangerous precedent. She did say it could and should have been heard in open court. Judge Glanville was so not only biased in favour of the prosecution but also obviously hostile to the defendants' counsels. It showed in his face, in his eyes and on occasion his reddening complexion. It showed in his finding Steel in contempt. It showed in his refusal to comply with recusal procedures and trying to keep everything in his control.
