I have to say I just stumbled across your content with Paul and have been in love ever since, I had heard about and was really hyped for immersed before, but finally seeing someone go “This is how I do it” has been huge for me. I am also a software developer that works from home and today was my first full day using immersed for actual work instead of hobby stuff and i can say it has been probably my most productive day so far. I totally agree with the focus comment, being able to put my headset on works for me, because I am not tempted by other things on my desk. But it also helps with the kids and my wife to understand that I shouldn’t be bothered because I am working.

my favorite part about immersed is that I can connect via a USBC cable and I am not reliant on a wifi connection to get work done. Im blown away by this app. turns my windows laptop into a work station
We need more apps like immersed , the gaming on the quest is cool but productivity is where the money is at !

I have to use secure remote worker (srw) for work. How does the companion app work with srw?

Is VR the only viable way to going more virtual? I am looking at AR ThinkReality to get virtual desktops to help with my eyesight, as my small laptop is killing my eyes. I am willing to go VR and don't really care about the vehicle, I just need some way to give my eyes a rest while working on my Windows 10/11 laptop. Any thoughts on using VR and/or AR and which platform/software you might recommend? I would ONLY use this as a Professional IT person who lives on a laptop ~10 hours a day, 5 days a week. Thanks for any thoughts you might have and GREAT VIDEO SERIOUS, thank you!
How strong is the screen door effect still at 20/20 vision?
It’s actually not noticeable at all tbh on the Quest 2. As newer headsets come out that issue will become non existent.

So go with controller or hands free?
You could use either! We prefer using our hands, but if you're new to VR then maybe controllers are a good start. However, in order to use your hands in Immersed, you MUST turn Hand-Tracking ON in the Oculus Menu. We'll see you in there!
I say controller for setting up your screens and once you lock them down switch to hands.
