I just realized that meta knight is kind of an amazing pick for literally all of these. Down b is broken with no shields, he has 4 recovery moves for no jumps, all his b moves are spammable, and he has 5 jumps and good air speed for no b button. Meta knight is once again meta
Down B definitely isnt broken without shield. Side B and neutral B is probably the scarier ones.

The no specials match I'd have just gone with Terry, Ken, or Ryu. You still have access to all their specials by using the command inputs.

Poppt1 was on fire this video. The Steve match was so good. Also fast falling as G&W with no up B was great.

@@moistloaf3854 true. Maybe they’d have to have Sophie with them to know who the teams are. Or just someone who isn’t playing. That way the best strat is just to play a ffa normally to ensure your team wins by you winning alone.

With the no specials one, Fox is actually a pretty good pick because his fair makes his jump higher and more floaty, allowing him to recover more easily.
Terry is the best for that one. You can literally input all his specials besides his weak power wave. Ryu/Ken lose their focus attack so it’s not as great
Fox would be terrible no special. Hes the fastest faller in the game and has a pretty low full hop, not to mention his air dodge is downright tragic. He would have to fair almost every time to make it back, then you can just edge guard him.
There are way better momentum altering serials though, like Corrin and ROB

Fun fact: “Counting cards” refers to a strategy in Blackjack where you remember all the cards that have been in play since the last shuffle. However, I am unsure why Zack was describing it as a bad thing because it’s the optimal way to play the game.

It goes beyond being a strategy and just to the point of “what you’re supposed to do if you’re good” so that’s strange to me. You mean like going through the discard pile instead of just remembering?
hes “saying its a bad thing” because he doesnt want to count meta knights jumps, but the spectators are counting HIS jumps. its like in blackjack if you had a friend behind you that always counted the cards for you.

It is definitely considered cheating, most casinos and card houses will kick you out for doing that. Chess is a bit different because it never involves odds, its complete player agency, whereas with say Black jack, neither the house nor player have control over the cards, so manipulating the odds is seen as unfair as it remove a big chunk of the luck factor (though that's casino logic, realistically, its just to let the house keep their money)
@@Endershock1678 But you aren't manipulating the odds, you're just keeping them in mind. If you didn't try to minimize risks in gambling then you aren't even "playing" the game. Just relying on luck

For just specials only and no jump ROB seems really good. Side b beats all the projectiles for specials only and up b is like a soft jump. No specials is Greninja cause of big jumps and the neutral and combos are the same
For no specials I’d choose terry, even though its kinda cheap.

No shielding, Pit and Dark Pit because their down B is essentially a shield, suprised none of yall thought of that
No Jump, Probably Snake because C4 recovery tactic if i dont screw it up, aside from Snake then maybe K Rool
No Attack button, Aegis. you essentially get 6 specials and all of them have their uses, Mythra Up and Side B, aswell as Pyra Side B, can be used for damage, and the remaining 3 for kill options
No Special Button, Yeah i gotta go with Mewtwo or one of the bs character with a bunch of jumps, why Mewtwo you might ask?, he has the biggest mid air jump in the game
(before anyone goes and replies to this comment saying "uhm ahcshually falco has the biggest jump" falco yes, has the biggest vertical jump height total, between his 2 jumps, but looking at the mid air jump only, Mewtwo beats him by alot.)
You know Poppt1 is disrespectful when he’s playing as dk, with no jump, and there’s a clear option, but he decides to do anything else because “haha Little Mac go uaaaagh.”

I know this is an oldish video but I had a similar thought of Gannon for no shield, not sure if that is a good idea though. Sora would be my no jump character. No B button would probably be Lucina (she rarely uses it anyway, right?) And no A button would be Incineroar because that's basically how I play him normally.

No Jump: Min Min, her biggest weakness is countered (man this list is lame huh? DLC priveledge) [P.S. if you also unbind shield Kirb and DDD Hammer becomes a great minigame]
No Attack: Hero 'cause it's too much fun to have an excuse to spam side b and it's balanced by never having mana
(Also Corrin and Cloud, Honorable mention to Lucario and Ganon)
No Special: Kirby, Meta Knight, Jiggs, and Yoshi too fun and busted
Fun fact, in no attack mode, alot of characters like Isabelle, Olimar, and Mewtwo only have reflectible attacks and can only do damage with grab against infinite reflectors like fox.

I was wondering Sora as well for some of these restrictions. But they honestly never really play him, Hop hates fighting him and is bloody awful at playing him normally :D. I think Cogger has probably played Sora twice at most.
Taking away someone's ability to jump is both a good thing and a bad thing for Little Mac. Good because he can hit people more but bad because he can't get away.

No A - DK, cuz he still has 2 spikes and also gets a lotta stupid Armor
No B - Ryu/Ken, cuz big funni inputs
