Graphics look like a mobile game (i.e. CarX Street). With no pedestrians, it breaks immersion.

The mustang has an idle sound. Headphones works best

what i like about tdu franchise is you have to work your way to earn that sweet2 lamborghini, unlike forza theyre just givin you the car from the start
The fact that we can choose whether we have the option to play Always online or the storymode is a major part in my opinion, that gives us some ownership of our copy which is awesome 🙏

I mean, it's true, but Driveclub launched in an abysmal state and took months to fix, so....
bit sad to see the game in this state when it's so close to launch, there are many many notable things to improve after i've seen this game in live action.
Buddy it's a small studio making a game for a niche title that wasn't even that great back then (tdu2) what more did you expect

I dont think there's a car game out with as much content and detail and functionality to the vehicles as TDU2. Name one.
@@Vancev99x Forza has honestly done the same thing even though it started out as a mere copy of tdu. You have full interiors and better car models and a bigger car list. We still play tdu just like i said for the lifestyle aspect not the cars in of themselves
@@Issam-od4pg Well fair on the style I do prefer simulation closer to realism over blasting down a backroad at 400mph seeing stuff like that takes away the immersion and i play both just for different reasons. forza will always rain on the number of cars they had massive licensing deals (remember when the supra WASNT in the game?! 🤣) as well so 500 cars at launch is nuts. But the game is a virtual Test Drive of vehicles and it gives off an experience you still can't fully get in forza 5 that you could in TDU2. Was fun meeting up with friends mercilessly chasing someone down during a police event. Or hosting a house party. Just wasn't and still isn't IMO a game quiet like that. There's some that come close but they did it right. Now I'm afraid they will probably screw it all up. Already took away houses. And looks like they lost or didn't renew some manufacturers license pretty sure this list is smaller than the last.
Unfortunately I don't think this game will ever live up to tdu2

They really need to work on the day time lighting.. there's literally night and day difference between how the hane looks during day and night.
What I don't like (yes I have played the demo), is that the cars are left hand drive and we are driving on the left ... attention to detail is missing here!!!! Also you can change your character in the crown hotel lobby
Agreed! Especially that for example Ford having a big market in asia With RHD mustangs being sold even! Also kinda whack that everything is automatic
They need to add a traction control button or add it in the menu of the hazard lights and the windshield
unfortunately traction control and abs are linked to car tuning setups and locked until a certain level, bit weird
I respect their work but this graphic in 2024?

@@ColdFear6666Mind you this is an old old version of the game that they are way past, meaning they already improved this they just gave us the older one for the demo.
Playing the demo, there is/was potential for this to be a pretty good lifestyle game. But it feels outdated somehow, I don’t want to say much about the gameplay because it is a WIP. But it does release in September…

Unfortunately triple A graphics isnt possible for a small game studio. I think the graphics look great regardless.

@@R_301.1 art direction probably, but graphical difference between FH2 nad FH5 is huge. I wouldn't say that FH5 have sick visuals with Medium+High settings which are equivalent to FH2 Max.
@@ruan015 where are you buying this game from? It's not 70 dollars and only 60 if you're on PlayStation. On Steam it's 50 for standard and on Steam key sites they got it on discount for 40. For that price I'd say a game like this is alright

Hello Scott, I'll comment about the game and your gameplay.
Ok, first impressions: the graphics are cool. This is a demo, so I have a feeling the full game will be better. The cars don't really feel planted on the road, and the drift physics need to be addressed.
They also need to add supercharger upgrades which will be useful for the muscle cars.
Now on to your gameplay. Yes, the taxi actually disappeared. 😂
Nice driving, and I love the fact that you use the cockpit camera view from time to time for every car you drive. Keep it up! However, you have made a mistake which you made in Need For Speed Unbound and Forza Motorsport 8 by choosing a muscle car as your starter car. Always choose a Japanese or European car as your starter car and only choose an American car if they're the only starter cars you can choose from. Also avoid touching the AI difficulty to get a feeling for the physics while winning your first events (something that you MISSED in NFS Unbound with the Crown Vic). Keep up the great work!!!!!

I entered the car/racing game genre since the start of the original crew. As great as that game was it had problems, too arcade-y being the proprietary one. Quite quickly got Forza and the physics in that game were unmatched hence ruining the arcade racing games for me. I was hoping for solar crown to be more simulation aimed than arcade-y ie more like Forza than the crew 2 and NFS.

@@kak8895 In the sense that when you are driving a RWD car, you clearly feel that the power goes to the rear wheels. And you feel the torque steer in a FWD car when you launch. Traction control has a noticeable effect. If you are in a car that’s supercharged or turbocharged you notice how that affects power delivery (admittedly the turbo noises are somewhat too over the top). With games from The Crew franchise or indeed NFS you don’t get these distinct attributes. I would like to reiterate that I played the original crew when it first came out and I loved that game (very upset with what they’ve done to it). But the driving physics are more realistic in Forza Horizon games and not arcade like as is the case with Crew and NFS.
This attempt at Hong Kong is pretty soulless, it hardly captures the vibe of the actual place even if it’s meant to be a somewhat fictional version of the real place. As someone who drives there irl it’s quite disappointing
What would you say is missing? And how could they go about improving it?

@@Supraifyification You know what came out around the same time as tdu 1? Need for speed underground 2. A game with a ton of customization. And how much of that did tdu 1 have? None. I loved it and i bet you did too because the game was never about the cars themselves it was about the lifestyle and the experience of exploring an enormous map online with other players.
@@Issam-od4pg Ironically enough this has literally zero "lifestyle" elements nor does it have an enormous map. This game literally has less things to do than the original almost 20 year old game. Everything is in one single hotel lobby and the map is miniscule.
@@Issam-od4pg You are wrong, TDU was about the cars. And the lifestyle. Besides, more customization doesnt mean neons, or big spoiler or anything like that. How about optioning carbon ceramics on certain cars? Or choose if you want a manual or automatic, and the car interior changing depending on your choice. Or how about selecting sports seats in certain models?
Not to mention the numerous car tuning manufacturers catered towards rich people and their cars, like Gemballa, TechArt, Mansory or Novitec.
The real world location of the Italian cars dealership (or near it) actually has a number of car dealerships around it. Had, not sure if it still does.
Things that I believe they should improve/ modify or remove, remove those arrows that block the roads; they look kind of childish, improve the handling (it looks wonky), and also traction doesn't seem to be as immersive and exciting, modify the steering wheel rotation

Looks like an og Ps4 game. Looks like The Crew the Steering is very bad for 2024 game overall i think i just might skip even if its a Demo. What they all need to change before the release its just not gone happen unless they delay it witch would sound better then releasing this tbh. We have Unreal Engine 5 rn this is what we are getting a 2020 game that looks just overall bad.

So many people talking bad about this “demo” 😂 I love it and they definitely didn’t need to give us this much information. They have an additional 3 months to continue polishing the game and this being a smaller version/demo it’s bound to have some issues. I can’t wait and think this looks way more fun than any other “racing” game released within the last few years

TDU SOLAR CROWN DEMO looks like Asphalt 8 but on PS5.
The engine sounds are better than Forza. But other than that, not sure, not havIng houses is a big mistake. Will finish the demo and then we ll see if it s a revisit later or not worth it at all.

@@lathikamihiranga When a game is set on realism, the graphics should mirror that or else the immersion breaks. This game has graphics worse than 2 generations ago. (NFS Most Wanted 2012, Gran Turismo 6, Burnout Paradise all have better graphics than this.)

Good luck running this game I have a 2060 Super ryzen 5 5600x 16gb ram and I run it on all low on 1920x1080 and I get 65-70 FPS tried on my 2k monitor and I was getting 40 FPS. Worst optimization in a game so far if I've ever seen one...
Im going for the Alpine as first car. Please do a review of gameplay with the steering wheel, really want to know if its any good and if you can change the settings like 360 and stuff. Thanks

the demo has definitely let me down, back in my childhood days, demos were like a chunk of a final game. TDU SC isnt really a demo in my opinion, its more like a very early stage beta test.
My 3070 ti is too old. 8GB of vram is definitely not enough anymore. Even 12GB is probably too low.
The graphics aren't ideal, but they are not bad. If this game offers a more true to life experience for wheel users, and nails all the other aspect of the TDU franchise then it will be a great product, but I don't have faith. And wont defend it if it fails.
Really bugging me that the mustang is automatic when he selects it at the beginning but when he’s driving it’s suddenly a manual.
Also with the 370z, ive seen another video where you can clearly see the flappy paddles but the driver changes gears like it’s a manual. Very sloppy TDU come on lol
I played a few hours of the beta, and I really hope the full game isn't like this when it releases. There were cars driving the wrong way into traffic, the steering animations were lacking and the game optimization was horrible. We waited 4 years for this?…

The thing is drive club PS5 is the best game with regards to graphics and steering wheel animation, it has raised the bar so high that’s sadly it seems unattainable even forza can’t achieve it and TDU is no way near it.

I want this game to be good and to find its audience, but I'm getting a bad feeling about this. Handling, gearing, and engine noises all seem "off" somehow, like the physics of the car aren't translating to what my eyes and ears are perceiving. Idk man... time will tell... 1:1 Hong Kong Island is a nice hook so maybe that setting keeps things interesting. But this isn't getting my anticipation up tbh. Also, where are the Chinese native residents? Why does everyone sound like the most neutral sounding English? If this is Hong Kong, it should feel like stepping into HK culture. I'll cross my fingers nonetheless. Competition in the open world racing genre is always good, I just hope they bring something memorable and different from the Horizon / The Crew blueprint.
