I’m not sure adding the membership stuff at this early stage is the way to go. You’ve got a fantastic channel, decent number of subscribers and above all you’ve got great content. These elements alone will be enough to swell your channel without the need for adding this membership stuff. All you need in my opinion is more regular uploads and longer videos. This way you’ll be able to add more advertising space and revenue. The stuff you upload lends itself well to longer videos. You’ll easily be able to do 30/40 minute videos with no issue and you’ll get people watching till the end. I’m sure I’m not alone in wishing your videos were longer. All the best, hoping you get the success you deserve. 😊
Congrats! I'm personally almost hoping to be made redundant at the moment, i know so many people who have left or lost their normal job and then had even greater success!
Great news always enjoyed your honest videos. I’m less interested in the EV stuff. All the best for the future, PS keep the S2000 the Boxster is just soft compared, Porsches in general are watered down and not raw at all, I find them a bit boring with heavy flywheels so they don’t Rev quickly, no lsd’s, and worst of all overly long gearing, just makes them feel slow. Sell Boxster, buy S2000, turbo charge it with how to’s from start to finish, surefire to get tons of views.
Your caracter has the possibility for big watch time. 😉👍 I really like your content and always give a thumbs up but I'll never give money for any channel, youtube should give you more money.
Good luck. I’m sure you will make a success. Many you tubers on flipping cars, maybe you just do flipping Porsche cars only. From buying auctions or fb market place to repairs to selling. Great content plus additional income from profit
Thanks Chris. Aircon fix video for the E61 coming in the next few weeks and with a surpise special guest.... Anything else you'd like to see on the BMW?
I like your videos but just like a few other people are saying longer videos would be great. It feels more substantial and is more memorable if there is more visible change (one reason why Restoration videos are so popular)
omg... same.. im self employed though.. lost my main work contract about a month a go... sort of I.T sadly no youtube...or onlyfans.... keep on Neil... you be fine N x
Good for you, wishing you all the best. Your channel was one of the ones that encouraged me to do RUclips. Think I mentioned that to you at SMMT. Perhaps we can collaborate at some point in the future!
All the best! I’ve been following your videos since before the budget track series and have learnt a lot from what you’ve shared with us. It’ll be great to see where you take the channel and how you plan to differentiate your videos from the other RUclipsrs. Once again all the best going full time and it would be great to see you collaborate with other UK car related creators. 😊
Couragoeus step in the current economic climate however I do sincerely wish you all the very best of luck (from a long term subscriber) way back from the E92 M3 days 🤙
Sorry to hear about the job loss, but looking forward to some more youtube videos! Really found all your videos very useful from the Boxster, to M3 videos, and again back to a Boxster! 🙂
It's always difficult to decide when's best to commit full time to something, especially with commitments... but so excited to see what you'll cook up! Good luck and can't wait to see more of your videos!
Hey great way to treat redundancy, it really is a platform for change with a nice cash sum in the bank to provide some time for your business to generate income. Good luck, have subscribed 👍
Good luck to you going forwards - always enjoyed your videos. I'm also working in IT and will make the break one day - everything happens for a reason, just remember that. I'm currently looking for a Boxster S (facelift) and your videos are really helping me with the future jobs I'm bound to get stuck into to. 👍
Who did you work for? Want to make sure I don’t use them for any products and services. Being made redundant sucks, the economy is trash but the jobs market is okay currently depending what you do in IT but I get that it’s boring as hell. Good luck with going full time
Congrats on your new direction. Thank you for explaining what You Tube memberships are. How about Patron? You will be surprised to now that a lot of people don't subscribe to You Tube channels because they think it's going to cost them money, you know, like a Netflix subscription, so your Membership description really helps, but maybe point out that You Tube subscriptions are entirely free.
@@RoadandRacetv just a very small forex trading channel, but I have big plans. Main thing was building multiple income streams so that not everything was Adsense
You have a good garage and its great to see a range of cars - how about a series where each episode you host someone's car, put it on the ramp, do a job that needs doing together, be it new brakes, a new exhaust, replace a belt etc, and then go for a drive. Good luck!
I found this channel when I was searching for instructional videos about basic maintenance. Those videos have been really helpful! I wish I had a garage where I could wrench on a car like an older Boxster or an MX-5 (or my regular Ford Focus), and implement more of the things I see in your videos. Wish you success in this RUclips-endeavor .
Sorry to hear about your redundancy but also happy for you in that it presents the opportunity that you mentioned. I’m not sure that the membership stuff you mentioned is the way to go - I’m personally much more interested in great content than priority replies or shoutouts. Your production values are very high and you have a natural affability in front of the camera so continue to leverage that because there are plenty of people who could do the same mechanical work that you do (myself included) but wouldn’t be able to present it in the way that you do (erm, myself included…) You’ve also got a great garage facility so as someone else suggested, consider adding some signature tools like a vapour blaster or ice blaster and provide a parts reconditioning service to provide a steady income. The key to success on something like that is turnaround time because I would want to be able to take parts off my car, send them to you by 24 hour service and have them back in 24+24+24 = 72 hours. You might even be able to get a sponsored machine just like Sreten did on M539 Restorations. No harm in asking! But in summary, content is what it’s all about so focus on that. Try to refine your post-production processes to make content posting as slick as possible and get content out there regularly at the same high quality you already have. Also, consider doing a bit of contract IT work to help with the transition. I’m a full time software development contractor and have been since 2011 so ping me if you want some pointers to get set up for contracting. It’s not difficult tbh.
Did not know you where in IT, i have recently moved from ops to cyber. I have had enough of patching servers at 4am and dealing with crap suppliers that don't know what DNS or DHCP are ( yes you Philips ). Hope it works out for you :)
Very best of luck. I would like to see a video of the bedding in process for the blue stuff pads you have just installed. I fitted some yellow stuff to the Impreza I used to own. If you follow whats on the EBC website its quite involved.

It would be great to see you try and flip a few cars or do a trading up series.
Will add it to the list

Good luck with whatever you choose to do on RUclips matey.
Excited for your new opportunity
Best of luck with full time RUclips! 👍🙏
Thank you 🙌
Sorry to hear about your situation mate. See it as a big opportunity, which it seems you are.
Good luck and I look forward to your videos!
Hey Neil, you should do Porsche cars as your niche, buy a 997 with borecore issues and do a rebuild series on it. Would make great content
There is already many people doing this 2 channels I know of already just search Porsche 997 rebuild
A buyers guide to popular models should do well. You have the keen eye for it
Good luck in the new venture, try and live the dream
Wishing you all the best!
Please please DONT do an "I bought the cheapest car in the country" video
Lol, I won't!
Kinda great news! But keep a plan B, youtube is great but it doesn't help small creators
Thanks, fair point
Good Luck Neil 😊👊🏻
