This is singlehandedly the most ingenious thing I've ever seen done with the ranger. Kept all the factory functionalities as well. Good job.

For a while I was nervous about the plain bulked space of the interior as this is my dream car, however it's given me a bit more hope than ever! I just kept reminding myself that it is a Ute that's based for Worksites and Practicality not Sedan based stuff.

Thanks for the great video. very nice. Is there a replacement upgrade for the factory unit in the 2017 Ford Ranger XL. the unit that has no cd or colour display. I want to replace mine even if I dont get a cd player.

Yes will work on the PX3
I just purchased one of these kits. Pretty awesome so far but I'm trying to get access to the remote power out so I can install my amps but my kit came pre done with my kenwood unit. So the blue remote wire is already hooked in. With tag removed im unsure if I can just splice into it for my remote power.

What happened to the parking sensors and the reverse guidelines?
Hi Mate, i have seen a video on RUclips about 3years ago of 4”-8” factory sync 3 upgrade conversion by 4D Tech. They not responding to emails or txt. Can I purchase similar usb cord that plugs into the back of the sync 3 stereo and go down to the bottom plug into the dual usb port from you if you sell one. I also don’t have the dual usb port. Would you have that for sale too?i like your removal and installation but I don’t have a kenwood stereo. I bought a sync3 stereo from another person. Can you help please. Thanks.

J M really hard to find this info. Haven’t found a clear solution for upgrading the head unit in the US market. Seems like it’s possible but I’m thinking we might lose the front and rear sensor option which would be a no go

is there a decent upgrade for the factory 7inch? or not worth it? i just hate the blue tooth and the default function to radio, plus blue tooth is on the 2nd page, and just really crap overall (for how much they claim its worth)

Just wondering if there was any reason you opted to mount the new mic on the screen as apposed to in the factory location of the original mic?
Yes you cannot retain the factory microphone it will not adapt. The new units MUST use the new microphone or it will sound terrible.
I understand the need in using the new mic. Its just the location it was placed I was curious about. Is the new mic to big to go in the original location?
It would muffle the audio so its not clear.

Looks good and all but Where you insert your CD in the old place with the controls pisses me off, Is useless but is there.. Would look neater if they did a facica plate for the bottom with it deleted

Have you done a ranger with higher end speakers ie. hertz mille pro or audison speakers? Sound deadening etc. if so how was the sound quality? Great video by the way. Very professional.
We have done some high end Focals in the Ranger and we use SoundSkins deadening on every audio job we do.

Hey, just wondering if there's anyway to keep Ford's Sync voice command button working?
No as you remove the Sync system in favour of Apple CarPlay & Android Auto which has its own voice system

Had an alpine unit fitted into same spec Ute. How did you overcome Fords annoying power saving feature of turning the unit off after 30 seconds on accessories? And strangely turns back on for another 30 seconds or so if you press brakes or central locking. Drives you nuts if just waiting in car for a while listening to radio.

No not the wildtrak as you lose some of the cars features.
is it becoz of the Odometer twin screen part? man im so sick of my wildtrak player.. limited function and slightly lag when browsing around..
