- A playthrough of THQ's 1993 educational game for the Sega Genesis, Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends.
Played on all three game modes (though I did leave out the coloring book mode, since made for some pretty dull viewing).
This Thomas the Tank Engine game differs considerably from the NES and Super NES versions, focusing mainly on Thomas collecting cars in the train yard.
Each of the game modes are shown at the following time codes:
0:56 "Game"
4:32 "Race"
10:10 "Explore"
I have to say, the voice clips used in in this game are impressive. Not only are they used to read aloud nearly every text prompt, but they are surprisingly clear for the Genesis. Nothing near the typically distorted, static-filled messes that most games were filled with.

Ok,it's scary how clear the voices are in this game
It's pretty damn good considering the limitations on Genesis sound modulation

Sir Topham Hatt looks like he has a candy van in his train station everytime that image pops up.
The graphics are pretty bad, but the game is miles better than the super nintendo version.

At 7:03, how is that possible?! How did Thomas pass through Duck without even crashing?! Not only that! This also happens again at 9:07; Thomas passing through Toby without even colliding?! That's impossible!

I'm kind of surprised that Edward wasn't playable, since all they would have to do is recolour James' sprites blue.
Actually, they would have to remove a wheel of the sprite and add a second small wheel.

At the title screen that's NOT thomas instead it's a clone of him and his name is horrifying mega drive Thomas he was an alien created by Dr eggman to scare Sonic to his very death he's terrifying smile will keep you up at night and give you nightmares there is a page about horrifying mega drive Thomas this is not fake this is actually real and Dr eggman sent out copies of the game and then it became a reality so what you saw on the title screen is horrifying mega drive Thomas the psychopathic killer engine
