Fun fact! The reverse pushback is actually known as "Power back" in aviation, typically used by the ATR's, but sometimes in special russian places too.
This method stopped being used a while ago due to safety concerns of the "Bucket Reversers" on planes, which could throw debris, snow and ice onto the wings. This could damage the wings, or cause an aerodynamic stall during takeoff.
Swiss001 has indeed a pretty special channel here going on. He is an expert but joins the "noobs" and have fun with them. The whole thing is very cathartic and a pedagogic "ensemble" experience while bringing in normal people to the flight sim world universe. Besides, he always makes me laugh or put a smile in my face when he pushes the boundaries, so thanks are in order! Can't wait for the next video! :)
Did you not hear 'Too low terrain' about 29 times prior to the flare? It's amazing how easy it is to ignore calls with a flood of information - hence standardized procedures for all phases of flight and as many situations as we can predict.
7:03 Austin’s applying full power to the failing engine and that’s what you should not do during an engine failure because it’ll just get worse later on. When one of your engines fail, idle its thrust inputs to prevent further damage. If it’s an engine fire, idle the throttle, shut down the engine by killing its power due to fuel starvation, then activate the fire suppression system. If not responsive for 30 seconds, activate it again. If the light goes out, it means the fire is extinguished, and the engine is declared secured. Then declare your emergency to ATC, then they’ll help you find a suitable airport to land.
The plane literally shouting "Too Low Terrain" as an indicator that the plane isn't set up for landing, and Swiss says it doesn't warn them. hahahahah.
That's so hilarious :D You and Austin should open a dedicated channel, it would make me laugh all day. That's the kind of content aviation YT needs. Well done :) Grüüüüße ;)
a long time ago my grandfather was a pilot, he flew some pretty important people. His career was with dc3's and 4's. His biggest plane was the Lockheed constellation. Idk why I'm telling this so I'll get to the point, he once flew under a bridge on a flight simulator, upside-down. He scared the co-pilot silly. Thing was he did it so perfectly he got a free ride whenever he went there. Don't know where that simulator was, but it must've been fun. I've also been in a flight sim, although I'm a child and I was flying a p-38, dogfighting a-10's and even an f22, I beat them all. That was in Hawaii, the pearl harbor plane museum. Not a good copilot, but scared my dad half to death going upside-down and preforming perfect maneuvers
but did i hear "helicopters"? Finally ! Thanks Austin for looking after these. There is a bunch of stuff in development that only waits for a bit of improvement on the hardware controllability side, flight path irregularity and some free space on the carriers. Let's find Joe's house.
9:01 When your engines fail, “Engine 2 in this case” try landing with the Engine 1 throttle only, while your Engine 2 throttle is at the idle position. If you’re experiencing asymmetrical motion, idle Engine 2 as well and perform a dead stick landing. If your speed is dangerously low, or you have the urge to use the throttle, use the throttle of the working engine, not the failed engine, or both engine power.
I smiled and laughed all the way! What a great and fun video! Austin is such fun and so knowledgeable and Swiss001 knows his Airbus and is having super fun hauling it around the sky!
Hate to break it to ya Austin...that wasn't the Tappan Zee, that was the Whitestone. The bridge I commute over weekly...please dont fly under it again 😂😂
You werent thinking when it did shout "Too low terrain, Too low terrain, Too low terrain, Too low terrain....." that something was wrong? Cause normally when landing we are supposed to hear "approaching minimums.. 50, 40...." 🤣Fun video tho.
Pushing back using reversers: I already saw a B727 doing push back using reversers and I thought it was a day dream. It was unreal but it happened 25 years ago at Dallas/Fort Worth Intl Apt. while I was waiting to board my flight at the gate.
How dare you call yourself the "worst pilot" when you were able to perform a fricking barrel roll with an A320!?
Alternate law entered the chat
Rip flybywire
Average ryanair pilot
Good thing it was not a Q400
Lol its a sim and how hard is it to do it in a sim with no real damage model.
Niklaus/Swiss: "Goddamit I can't put it in".
Austin: "That's not what I told your mother".
I literally passed out laughing at that! 😂😂😂😂
@@4FOGIDNI Same
Thanks for noticing me Nick!
LMFAO
savage 🤣
Austin is so unintentionally funny, I love it!

2:10 this gives a whole new meaning to “crashing your flight simulator”
I was reading the whole article, it sounded normal until they said the dude was shouting terrorist things.
@fgfs7 surely he will be remembered…
Fun fact!

Also very popular on the DC-9 back in the day.
@@bwc1976 it was md80 but they did it a lot
The md80 also used it sometimes
@@Phantomaviation md-80 is upgrade of dc-9
The real life videos are so much fun! Full motion flight sims are cool!
I totally agree, unfortunately they are very expensive.
This sim runs X Plane 12?🤔
2:32 he waited for that opportunity for his entire life
lol
LOL
swiss having fun with austin makes me smile
Can't believe swiss was doing flight with austin, what a nice show

That’s not what I told your mother… 💀
I can't believe Austin really said that 😂

What r u yapping abt
Swiss001 : How didn't it warn us???
Airplane 1 second ago : TOO LOW TERRAIN, TOO LOW TERRAIN, TOO LOW TERRAIN
Yeah, I also thought ... didn't they extend the landing gear!?
😂

Swiss: This is such a safe flight, isn’t it?
Austin: Oh, wow! 😂😂😂

Bro i love Austin, he's so genuine
7:24 Swiss was having a sudden flashbacks 💀
I remember the first video made about the sim, it was a lovely video. Happy to see you back there!
Imagine boarding an airplane, and hearing "Hello everyone, another Swiss001 video! And today, we will see how durable this aircraft is-"
Swiss is the only pilot that enjoys barrel rolls. He's just like ''Pretty safe flight isn't it''
„in Darrrrrmmstadt“ got me rolling😂
That's so hilarious :D You and Austin should open a dedicated channel, it would make me laugh all day. That's the kind of content aviation YT needs. Well done :) Grüüüüße ;)
WOOOOW AUSTIN WITH THE BURRNNNNN 2:32
😂😂😂😂
OMG YESSSS SWISSSS
I’ve rewatched that old sim video about 5000 times, just by chance you made a new one
Swiss and Austin, highway to the danger zone.

😂😂😂 It's true
At least you broke less than than you do on an average swiss001 stream (flashbacks to destroying monitor...)

Average Swiss001 landing: "Oh, the landing gear wasnt down!"
Best collab ever
my guy is so funny lmao
austin
Swiss001 made it! He got hired for Ryanair!
Swiss001 requesting a pilot job
The employer pulls up this video
The reaction at 13:22 is now my favorite @Swiss001 moment ever
2:47 Swiss: This is what Airbus Pilots call the electric chair race.
Regular people: we try to avoid that race.
“Now helwo guys to another swiss001 VIDEO,and today we are gonna have some flight simulator fun with swiss001”
fun fact swiss001 is the most best youtuber in the world he always makes everyone's day
POV: your co-pilot and captain starts talking about your mom
10/10 Love it keep it up :)
Who coulda known that the landing gear wasnt down with all those terrain warnings lmao. But nice checklist work
You are my favorite to watch keep it up
Ryanair: WOW what a beautiful pilot
So, I think we've all learned a good lesson in aviation today:
A320s can be used as military fighter jets
😂
😂😂 how did you not see the landing gear I was watching it the hole time😂😂😂
It's all fun and games with his seatbelt off until he goes flying on the roof. Now thats what i called "Full Motion Flight Sim"
thats pretty cool you got to hangout with austin in a full motion sim, good on ya man.. hard work pays off
not me who succeed on my first INNISBRUCK landing in a real life flight simulator 737 cockpit. In bad weather conditions too
the realization that the gear was not down got me 😂😂😂

Lol, you should be selling real life planes 😎 Great show, more of this ✌
10:58 "Everyone needs a good copilot was so funny"
Most scripted sounding dialogue ever by everyone in the beginning 😂
Lol Austin you still did good! Certainly better than me!
Hate to break it to ya Austin...that wasn't the Tappan Zee, that was the Whitestone. The bridge I commute over weekly...please dont fly under it again 😂😂
LOL ! MY FAV SWISS 001 VIDEO !
deserve an oscar after this video 🙌
You werent thinking when it did shout "Too low terrain, Too low terrain, Too low terrain, Too low terrain....." that something was wrong? Cause normally when landing we are supposed to hear "approaching minimums.. 50, 40...." 🤣Fun video tho.
10:57 Everyone needs a good co-pilot 😂
I'm a bit late but I have to say this is the best video ever fr
