I hope adding the coax cable didn't change the output impedance. Coax is usually 50 ohm, so an impedance mismatch could cause feedback on the antenna wire, adding hash into your signal. Good luck!

I have an arris NVG589 modem. It has a small type connector that has a "hole" not a "pin" like the connector in your video. what is the nomenclature or designation of that type connector. Thanks

How do you know which internal antenna is 2ghz and which one's 5ghz?
I'm currently modding my router of which I have 2 of so I can do a pratice run. But i've decided to drill some holes for the coax to screw into the housing.
Coax=loss. You'll get a better signal by mounting the antennas on the router itself, and then mounting the whole router in a place that will produce the best area coverage.
Does this work for portable routers ??
At 3:11, I heard "EG type RPSNA mini HF B and C connectors" which I'm pretty sure that's not what you said.. please clarify the actual name for the parts. Or offer some on-screen subtitle for these important parts..
