For sin 23 Henry Cavil sat in Times Square under a Batman v Superman poster wearing a Superman shirt and no one noticed him. Just adding fuel to that fire
To be fair, it is New York City where celebrities can just walk the streets without a disguise and nobody would pay them any mind. I mean, last time I went to New York I had to do a double take because I ended up bumping into Forrest Whittaker right outside of a hotel and I barely noticed at first.
And During the filming of the 1978 Superman movie Christopher Reeve would have lunch at a near by Dinner. When He went in dresses in the superman costume He would get swamped by Fans but when he went in Dressed as Clark Kent no one recognized Him
Score written by Danny Elfman too, if there's one thing that's objectively better in Tim Burton's version it's the soundtrack... if there's two it's actually the matte painted gothic and mysterious Gotham city that's their other sin, it looks much better than random modern megapolis Nolan's Batmans take place at.
For sin 100, I don't know why Jeremy is pulling up the no-kill rule for Batman. Like, I'm aware that's been a thing for several decades prior to this film, but Jeremy also forgets that there are versions of Batman out there that will kill. Not to mention, once Bruce finds out that Joker was the one who killed his parents, he makes it very clear he's out for blood. TL:DR, said movie 'critic' who's attempting to ass-pull from the comics, can't even do it correctly.
This movie was released way before I was born, but this movie was how I was introduced to Prince. I'd heard "When Doves Cry" on the radio before then, and I loved it. But I first watched this film with my dad (RIP), and he asked me if I knew who Prince was. I found a greatest hits Prince album for $5 on iTunes, and the rest is history. The rest of _Batman_ (1989) is an awesome movie, but I especially love it for introducing me to The Purple One. He's one of my favorite artists of all time!
Homie over the last two weeks I’ve literally watched everyone of your everything wrong with videos at least twice. Love your videos, Homie. Keep up the good work.
2:49 My parents definitely thought it was the Wayne family when we watched this together as a family for the first time. I believe my mom even said something along the lines of “oh, wait, I think that happens later.”
I love Art Deco. I wish we would still build stuff in that style. They're one of the main reasons I have so much love for these Batman movies and the animated series.
@HoustonUchiha the only way you can sin this is by literally looking for actual movie mistakes. Such as not hiding the wires that batman was wearing in a couple of shots. Or maybe a cup was out of place. Lol
The joker card coming up when Jack was playing with cards had me thinking he was practicing card magic. I use the jokers to practice controls in a shuffled deck.
2:45 Backing up this point, in the comics it's shown that on occasion Batman and Superman will fill in for each other, like if Clark is off world or Bruce is out of town on business. There is one specific issue showing this, though I can't remember which one. It bounces back and forth between the two and their internal monologue about how different Gotham and Metropolis are. Bruce noted that much of the crime is white collar stuff, while Clark said that even with all his powers there is so much crime in Gotham that even he can't help everyone.
For Sin 24 I'll give two anecdotes to compliment this. First of all, we might not think about it much now, but back in 1989, there was a lot of gripes from certain fanboys who couldn't picture Micheal Keaton as Batman, precisely because of how his physique didn't match Batman and he seemed more of an ordinary joe. This scene in a way kind of calls those fanboys out by having everybody, including the audience, getting played. Secondly, in the famous American novel The Great Gatsby, one of my favorite moments is how our protagonist Nick Carroway first meets Gatsby. He's attending a party being hosted by Gatsby, and since he has only moved in, he is not entirely familiar with everyone. He is sitting at a table with some other guests and is talking with them about Gatsby and wondering who he is, until the gentlemen sitting next to him goes "Oh, btw I'm Gatsby, nice to meet you!"
FINALLY!! This movie should've never been touched by Darth CinemaSins' dirty hands. Thanks birdman for avenging one of the greatest comic book movies of all time. Keep those masterclasses coming! Also I really hope the DCU gets going, I haven't given up on the Amalgam Cinematic Universe.
Being in the audience opening weekend that build up of "pointless credits" (and I guess pointless music) led to one of the biggest pops of the movie when the Bat logo appears.
Their claims at the very start is baffling: two BEST things in Tim Burton Batmans are music AND matte paintings of a very gothic, surreal Gotham city. I legitimately lose all immersion when Nolan's Batman is just Christian Bale on a Lambo riding around downtown Detroit or whatever, there is no magic. I think Heath Ledger is a better Joker than Jack Nicholson, BUT with Danny Elfman soundtrack it just feels more like a winter fairytale (ok, that applies more to Batman Returns but still), there's never an actual real modern city reminding me it's just a movie.
Anton Furst's set designs, and Burtons aesthetic are what sets this movie so much apart ,and shows whats missing from the Nolan verse. This Gotham is literally another character of its own in this movie. Giving us a comic accurate Gotham City. And it's not so trashy, over the top, strip club , looking as the Shumacher universe. It's one of the best parts of this movie.
I literally just watched this two days ago. Also the first sin, that was a reflection of the industry at the time. Credits appeared at the start to get people, well credit.
12:40 - Sins 62 and 63 are based on real current events from the time: the Max Headroom incident (and plenty of other broadcast intrusions that happened) and the Tylenol killer, which is the reason containers have seals on them now. 18:08 - That imagery is iconic because it's not from Spider-Man or Batman, it's from Metropolis. It had been part of the cultural zeitgeist for over 60 years when this movie came out.
Jeremy also doesn't realize that for a long time, the penguin was the batman's main villain. It wasn't until around the time this movie was created that the joker took the stage light. They were creating the joker in real time, so complaining that he has fallen in love is an interesting way to say he has no idea how the joker came to be
12:42 Jeremy clearly hasn’t heard of the Max Headroom signal hijacking incident that happened in Chicago in 1987, which was accomplished by seemingly random civilians. That happened 3 years before this movie came out.
If I hadn't already unsubscribed to Cinemasins for ignoring comic books, I would have for sinning this movie...This was the first film I saw in theatres as a kid, dammit! Thank goodness for the Birdman.

Sinning Batman '89 at all is worth all of the sins. All of them.
ALL
Quadruple
ABSOLUTELY! Batman ('89) is the first movie I loved so much I had to see it THREE times in the theater! OUTSTANDING movie! OUTSTANDING soundtrack! 🦇❤

How DARE Jeremy suggest having Prince involved in your score wouldn’t be a mark of quality. How dare he.

I legitimately never knew about no kill rule until Arkam _games._
4:38 expecting Gotham to look the same any two times, even in the same continuity, is a fools errand.
18:56 bird on bird violence
Lol
Guess they are different birds of a feather. Lol
On the same day as Arkham Shadow. Birdman really does have taste
I didn't realize that game already came out.
By far the most aesthetically pleasing Batman film, and the soundtrack is the icing on the cake!

11:59, if my back recalls correctly, we should absolutely not use CRTs for planes. They wouldn’t be able to get enough lift in a hurricane
0:52 I love how Cinemasin gave a sin for DC comics and then Birdman gave him a sin off (agreeing). Classic!
Just needed something to watch while hitting the gym. Birdman your timing is fantastic, I am looking forward to this
The Joker quill murder will always be absurdly hilarious!😭
5:09 Hey!! It's Porkins!! He survived the Death Star assault afterall!
The set design in both tim burton movies are top tier.
Th3Birdman has made my day with this video!
Feels fresh again after a month of no EWWCC
Homie over the last two weeks I’ve literally watched everyone of your everything wrong with videos at least twice. Love your videos, Homie. Keep up the good work.
Honestly that sinning bird man thing with the warped price is right music gave me a chuckle. Great video like always.
18:02. The Shark Repellent from the 1966 Batman movie would break Jeremy's brain.
3:41 ironic given this is the movie where Batman does basically kill Joker
17:18 Best part of the video.
I almost thought Jeremy is secretly talking about Th3Birdman on that one as well as the movie idk maybe I'm wrong lol
@@grantpowell4135I don't think Birdman was sinning cinema sins in 2016
That was kinda what I was thinking.
@dallonpainter2674 oooooooooo if the math checks out then I'm glad it wasn't a jab at Th3Birdman
I’ve been waiting for this video! One of my all time favorites. Thank you Birdman 🎉
Hey Th3Birdman, what Cinemasins video legitimately got you the most mad?
Also *switches to Ghostface voice*
"Whats your favorite scary movie?"
I'm so glad I found this channel. 🦇🖤
You should double the count for the prince slander. Because we don't accept that here
The sinning birdman part made me laugh so hard. Jeremy had no idea what he'd done
Good morning @Th3Birdman. Thank you for defending my boy Prince. Have a great day.
Yay another EWWCS video! Let’s go Birdman!
17:20 it couldnt get any better than this
I like how the map of Gotham is just 1980's Vancouver with all the areas and street names.
Lmao "nobody sins me but me" is gold 😂
"What kind of bats do you know, pigs?" lmfaooooooo
Th3Birdman dances to Prince every time he gets the chance to roast Jeremy.
Sinning Birdman😂😂😂 perfect meme @17:20
Dude, the opening credit scene to Batman is one of the best I've ever seen.
Hello, merry Christmas
Nobody sins Th3Birdman! Nobody!
Anyway, Happy Early-ween, everyone.
Great video to wake up to! Thank you Birdman!

Ummm how dare you sin Prince doing the soundtrack Jeremy.
I fricking knew you dropped this early lol
Cant pull a quick one on me Th3Birdman lol
Babe, wake up, Birdman has uploaded another vid (and it's about the best batman film 😁)
0:51 mj was in sonic ost!!!!
He's credited in Sonic 3
Awesome Video!
The first of the modern "Batman" movies and a personal favorite of mine. Take 'em down, Birdman!!
I actually forgot prince made the soundtrack for this. Thats honestly amazing, and god do we miss him.
12:31 Joker 2 😂

I’m curious if you’re interested in doing Batman and Robin. It’s low key an amazingly hilarious film.

He fell in love with the thing he was meant to destroy
Kinda poetic ya know lol

It’s made perfectly clear that the family in the beginning isn’t The Waynes. The father calls the kid “Jimmy” when he’s trying to get a taxi.
DID HE SIN THE ART MUSEUM SCENE?!
Seriously, that’s some bullshit… that scene is a slice of fried gold.

Lmao that Birdman sin was personal

I do see why people could think that this saga and the Joel Schumaker films could be in the same universe since they all have the same Alfred
