This causes for a better fit overall and should not be messed up by washing and drying like the Vietnam shirts may be. Also for the individual price of *$22.99 True Classic Tees are not worth it. Even the pack of 3 may not be worth it. The 6 pack is going to be the best option.* If you want to buy shirts individually and are softer then I found out the Hollister tee I featured, and still fits, starts at $16.95 - www.hollisterco.com/shop/us/search?departmentCategoryId=12551-HOL&searchTerm=longline+crew - They also have them in packs of 2, 4, 5, and 10 reducing the price of the shirt down to only $13. The Vietnam Shirts are even tighter around the neck and the arms like I thought but a new tight area found is around the chest. Slightly uncomfortable, but after wearing the shirt for about 30 minutes it becomes unnoticeable until I think about it.

I just made a $900 mistake ordering from True Classic. Ordered about $1000 worth from TC last summer and loved the fit of their product so I decided to make another order of new item such as Chinos. Long story short…TC provided very little customer service with regard to finding a lost $900 order. Customer service was a waste of my time however, this was after wasting two afternoons talking to two shipping companies who were hired once it entered Canada where I live. DHL and Loomis Express who pass the blame back and forth. DHL hired Loomis as a third party…they were absolutely unhelpful and appeared to not really interested in finding this order. Loved the product so much once I received it I decided it wasn’t worth my bother. Wish I had now!

When it comes to shrinkage... does it help not to put the shirt to dry in the dryer? I always hang dry my t-shirts. Or does shrinkage happen in the wash, not in the dryer? Someone please comment.
It depends on the fabric you are washing. Classic Tees are 80% cotton and 40% polyester which is plastic so shrinkage will happen because of heat. If you use hot water for your wash it may shrink. The dryer is just heat unless you have a setting that specifically disables heat. If you have 100% cotton, heat will never be an issue, because it is only the tumbling action that pulls the fibers closer together causing it to "shrink". So in theory, you may be able to recover a shrunken 100% cotton shirt by pulling it back into shape. The best shirt combination would be to have 100% cotton that is pre-tumbled and then sewn together to make a shirt. The term to look for this type of shirt is "100% Cotton Preshrunk Shirt"
Hanging your clothes dry will always help maintain color, wear and tear and shrinkage. Heat from dryers actually damage a lot clothes over time. Dryers also cause color fade much quicker than hanging your clothes to dry. I can keep going on and on, but I digress.
I received 4 of these. Classic dad bod guy here. Strong chest and shoulders, noticeable belly (not crazy, but got the belly). 1 fit tight in chest and arms but too tight around the belly. 3 fit baggy. I would never wear the 3 out in public. Steer clear.
I was glad I came across this video. I bought these t-shirts about a month ago. Normally I don't shop online unless I've worn a product before but because I wasn't satisfied with the fit of my current t-shirts. Because of the size chart I first ordered a medium and a large for size testing. The medium fitted me like a normal undershirt but the large was perfect. Now I was ready for an official purchase knowing the correct size. I ordered the six pack (black, navy, white, military green, light gray and charcoal gray). The charcoal gray shirt was true gray and was the only shirt made in Mexico. All the other shirts was made in China. To eliminate shrinkage, I will be washing in cold water and hanging to dry.
@@MikeLikesThat Because I hadn't worn the charcoal gray one from Mexico yet, I had to try both of them on just now. (all shirts have had the same washing experiences) I do like them but for the price I don't think they are worth it anymore since only 4 are wareable now.
First off, thank you for watching! After a few washes, the 2 black shirts are no longer wearable in public to me as they have shrunken up too much at the waist. I will only wear them around the house or when working outside. The white shirt has some light stains and my girlfriend will eventually tie dye it. After the tie dying that leaves me with 4 shirts I could comfortably wear in public. At this point, only a month later The Staple 6-Pack Crew Neck is not with the money. The Heather Crew Neck Staple 6-Pack may be a better selection, but I think looking elsewhere for a cheaper shirt is recommended, like the Hollister shirts I have linked in my update comment.
@@ttvskrillex I will make a recap video to go over everything but all of my clothes are always washed with tap temperature water and low for drying cycles. Inside out is only needed for graphic tees not plain tees.
The shirts themselves are average. After their initial wash they did shrink as expected but 3 of the 6 shrank a lot more and are not wearable in the public. With that inconsistency and the fact that they also increased in price, I strongly do not recommend these shirts. I'll be making a video recap as well as going over what I recommend purchasing now after wearing the new shirts for a little bit. I have purchased a 10 pack of shirts from Hollister from the Longline series. The shirts are 100% cotton and their price came out to only $8 and change per shirt. They are definitely softer and cheaper but do have one quirk I want to go over in the video. Edit: The Longline 10 pack of shirts are $130 or $13 per shirt. When I purchased them they were on sale and each shirt came out to around $8, so know that they do go on sale often. For instance, if you're looking for a ton of shirts, they have a BOGO 50% off deal. So if you buy two 10 packs it would only come out to $9.75 per shirt.

6040 poly cotton blend will shrink anywhere from 2 to 5% depending on the laundering technique or heat. Vietnam has very high quality textile manufacturing. I’ll take the Vietnamese over the Chinese anytime. To solve the standardization question I would just source them all from Vietnam if I were the company
I strongly suggest you do not buy true classic tees at this point in time as they have increased their price and are definitely not worth it. I will be making a video on shirts from Hollister that are a better deal and quality.

These shirts are nothing special so if this is something you are actually interested in, then look into bellacanvas.com or other wholesalers.
@@MikeLikesThat OH WOW THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE, sorry to bother so my suspiscions are true of course different shirts have different qualities but for the most part there all kind of the same and the expensive shirts like SUPREME, NIKE etc etc is all just marketing hype. basically supreme would buy a Gilden shirt or a bella canvas put nike on it and sell it for 70 dollars right
@@catchwreck928 yep, that's pretty much all it is. Then once you make enough money, you can build your own manufacturing warehouse and just buy cotton fabric and string to make shirts from scratch, the way you think is best.
I was wondering if you could do videos on your weight loss journey.. it both be inspiring and you would look better in thoes tees 😍
Well, in two months the prices have went up by a lot! One shirt is $26.99 and the 6 pack is $121.50 (normally $161.50, they are having a “sale”)… Now that I’m seeing they are made in China and each shirt will be different, I don’t think it is worth the money.
Thank you for this info! When I do my revisit review I will definitely bring this up. It is definitely not worth the money now.
@@MikeLikesThat im seein the 6 pack on sale for like $90 rn. Im thinking about trying them out. I'm 6'2 170lbs athletic build. Any recommendations for a t shirt brand?
@@aroncampos5720 for $90 ($15) for the 6 pack I think the price is close to being good, but you may still have inconsistency in the sizing.
I'm very happy with the Hollister Longline shirt pack. I would recommend checking out some plain shirts from Hollister. 100% cotton shirts will not shrink as much as blended shirts.
@@MikeLikesThat - Arw the True classic fit long?
I like to cover my junk in front. I like it loose but not to losse but not tight since I carry CCW
Just remember, t shirts shrink after hot washes, use cold water
Tighter neck is better than loose droopy neck
Sometimes running a shirt longer makes it feel and look like a drape. Love the commercial, don’t love the shirt. Gonna pass.
Great review!
You definitely want a tighter collar this way you can stretch it out if you want to if you don't want to have a shirt already stretched out in the collar they're horrible
Collars were loose but the stomach area was tight. Tight like spandex tight! Great shirt if you're going for that cringe 9 month pregnant look everyone loves in a guy.
Shame they're not above 90% cotton
If your not a return buyer, then they prolly not worth it. Paying $20 a piece for $2 shirts that you still have to go through piece by piece to find the best ones is no bueno.
Thank God I ordered V necks. Can't stand that tight feeling around my neck. That being said I been waiting a long ass time for my shirts to show up.
I actually like a tight colllar. Too many t shirt collar stretches too much that gets annoying for me. If the sleeves cut off ur circulation then make it a tank top 🤣
True Classic is nothing but hype. Their t- shirts are very thin and feel very cheap. Don’t waste your money because of fake reviews.
I'm not sure about thin but yes they are very very expensive and I have found a shirt that is better in all categories and i will be making a review comparing the two.
@@MikeLikesThat I was considering the True Classics shirts but after seeing your comments I am thinking again. Would love to hear what the alternative you found is
Manufactured in CHINA and VIETNAM.... Please by American. A company may have their HEADQUARTERS in the USA and still manufacture elsewhere. Just be aware - and yes, it's important.
Expensive as shit!, but worth it to buy afew cuz the quality will last way longer than a 6pack of fruit O da looms… commercials are funny as f@ck!!!
These shirts suck. All my shirts are inconsistent. Did two returns with them and still have shirts I can't wear even with returns. They either shrink too much or the collars are too loose and unwearable without being annoyed all day by it. Wont buy any more of these.
Haha this nerd said “very longer”
Don't dry these I'm the dryer, air dry them
Thanks for the review, I was ready to make a purchase till I found out they were made in CHINA.......
Jesus glad I didn’t buy a bunch
😡...Lies! I can't believe the negativity.
What did I lie about?
thats just fat, not dad bod lmao dad bod would be someone more around 20%bf you're way over that
Good to know the science behind that term I'll be sure to update the title ASAP. And make sure TC removes all the guys they showed depicting having a Dad Bod too. In fact can you tell TC for me I'm kind of demotivated because I just learned I was fat.
Okay i sitting here with totally no clou what the outcome was here....what i should i buy with a dad bod?
I made a follow up video: ruclips.net/video/VCKDxtdn-KI/видео.html
