My first exposure to Brent Mason's music couldn't be more obscure. TNN (The Nashville Network) used this song, Hot Pickin' and others for commercial bumpers on TNN Motorsports broadcasts of NASCAR races, and also NASCAR commercial advertisements in the early to mid 90's.
Hiding behind humbuckers, distortion, and compression. Not in the same class with Brent and The Players. Not even close! Faking it with "jerky" attitude. What a moron!
Frampton is a dinosaur moron. Out of his league. Frampton=mindless bald-headed pentatonic wanking. Mason play circles around him, and can play framptons boring shit plus much more. Go slam a couple of bottles of ensure, change your depends, and go back to the nursing home loser. Take frampton with you while your at it. .....jeezzzz....what an ignorant dipshit you are.
Cool. Just discovered these guys. Now I know two kickass bands called the Players. The other one is from 1987, with Jeff Berlin, Steve Smith, Scott Henderson and T. Lavitz.
ears to The Hammond organ is an electric organ invented by Laurens Hammond and John M. Hanert[6] and first manufactured in 1935.[7] Multiple models have been produced, most of which use sliding drawbars to vary
micheal rhodes is a new face to me. what a great way about the stage he has aswell as being such a superb and exciting bassist. ty for putting a name to the face mixinear.
Her seems pretty pleased at the end. Thought Frampton held his own to be honest - different style to Brent, more old school, rougher - but that's his style.
He can do slow cooking soulful when he wants. Seen him many times in Nashville set in at clubs all across town . Super nice, humble, very approachable. Good guy. There is no set of you tube videos that show his true depth and knowledge.
Mason developed from much more than Jazz. He can play many styles convincingly, soulfully, and with his tasteful personal twist. Much more taste & sophistication in his phrasing. He can do the boring meat/potatoes blues rock stuff in his sleep. He's content being a first call session guy, playing on countless Nashville albums. He's a musician's musician in a town full of hot players.

Smokin'! Always loved this tune.
RIP, Michael Rhodes 😭😭😭😭
Yep that's Frampton....And believe me, he can hold his own with anyone !

I agree frampton is a little out of his league but he's still having fun and the crowd liked it

ensign services one of the dumbest comments on RUclips. You should get a clue before showing your ass. Smh.
when Brent and Paul look at each other at 1:05 and give each other that "oh fuck ya bud" look as they duet that lick... love it!!!!

What a fine bunch of players..... I'd like to have a half dozen albums by these guys.

Absolutely brilliant,
Paul Franklin harmonizing guitars Brent Mason!!
@bakkmann That is clearly Frampton.
such quality in nashville
That was great - thanks so much for posting. A must see video!
@bakkmann Opening credits show Peter Frampton as one of the Special Guests.
Does it get any better?
fantastic, more more
Cool stuff...all great musicians
Sounds great !

This is very good stuff!!!!!
WOW awesome
@leadfeet31 Plenty of bass sir, might just be your speakers. I'm listening to the song with simple iPod headphones and it's bumpin.
What the heck? I just realized Franklin is playing a six string lap on top of his Pedal Steel..... Wow.
You are a dumbass
ensign services So, if you want to pick shit with someone, why don't you do it face to face loser.

That's not Peter Frampton. I'm not sure who it is... credits say additional musicians are Biff Watson and Bob Mayo.
He says Peter Frampton at the end
Bob Mayo was Framptons long time keyboard player.
wow
That bass player is extra turtely.
@momonator123 Mmm.. Early 2000s I believe..
@h3rcvry Hell yes it is, just look at his face!
Brent is an awesome guitar player, I just wish he'd put a bit more love to it, it doesn't have to be fast to be good

well there you go, guess I was wrong
these guys are really good, but you can hardly hear the bass on this
Great playing but the camera man and lighting guy need fired!!
Mason has developed his style by relying heavily on Jazz, while Frampton got his style from blues and rock.

Wow, just run those credits all over Mr. Frampton. Next time maybe they can pay someone to come out and take a dump on him.
Frampton was great for his day, but his day has long past.
Yeah, not cool...
Brent is smoking the crap out of frampton
Brent is not impressed with Peter Frampton
yeah i noticed that.
Brent is still the penultimate professional.
Yeah, at least he has fun shredding Vince Gill's face off. With Frampton he's like, "Wtf are you doing here, old man?"
That is complete bullshit.......
Nonsense. As if they’re middle school kids trying to impress each other.
This is a terrible mix.
