  • What can I say about Haolonggood that I haven’t said before? The high quality, the affordable price, and most happily the ability to produce dinosaurs we’ve really lacked for a long time but always wanted. This is Baryonyx, the namesake of the baryonychines spinosaurs.
This time it does have some anatomical misses in the head and jaw, but the overall product is still a very worth one to add if you’re not too hung up on minutiae.

I would LOVE for Haolonggood to do pterosaurs in two poses: one flying and one swimming. I'd buy the crap out of those it's not even funny.

I think it's high time we had a good dinosaur of HLG or PNSO quality! Last one I had was the GR Toys Quetzalcoatlus. Would love to have one good representative at least!

As always, Haolonggood is back with a banger. And this time it's "heavy claw".
It seems like this model was made in a hurry. In my opinion, this goes well with their allosaurus figure for having that cartoonish face. Even though I don't have it, I think Safari Baryonyx is the most scientifically accurate Baryonyx figure out there. I don't know if I'm right or wrong. But by the looks of it, it looks more natural with that skin texture and color scheme.
For a company that is trying to make its figures as scientifically accurate as possible, this figure looks way more JPish. Even though I'm not a huge fan of this figure, I really like that crocodile-like underbelly, the hands, the feet, and those color schemes. But those spikes don't match the body, and greenish eyes would be perfect for this Baryonyx. And, my dear sir, that Irritator figure is without a doubt one of the most gorgeous figures ever. Now that comparison is impressive.❤
I know I don't have this figure, and maybe this looks way more pleasing if one has it in hand. So I'll leave the door open for the future. Thank you so much for this wonderful review, my dear sir. I am eagerly waiting for the next review.🖤

Actually, I didn't say it in the video, but it almost feels like this is a step back toward the Allosaurus, but I thought that would be too unfair. That Allosaurus was really way off. As for the spikes, it's interesting but quite a few people actually don't like it. I grew up on artists who did add some so it's never really bothered me that much.
I really have to get some money going to get the Safari. Been putting off for too long. My only issue with these other mainstream companies even when their models are good, are the oversized feet.

@@DinosDragons i have the safari one...if i have to tell the truth i don't like it too much. Good figure but nothing special, sculpt has good proportion and scientific accuracy but lacks in details.
Safari ltd has great detailed ceratopsian but for many theropods i think the level is lower.
Maybe i pretend too much for the price. I also have the collecta one (not the deluxe because it s only bigger but not more detailed) and it s quite good for the price. Than i have the papo one but it s not a dinosaur, it s a monster...not accurate at all.

Haolonggood is always so close to perfection yet so far with their theropods. They somehow always manage to make a few mistakes that completely ruin the model in my opinion
The allosaurus with the messed up head and tiny claws. The daspletosaurus with the messed up lacrimals. The carnotaurus with the goofy horns and girthy head. Dilo with the ugly downturned jaw notch. Megaraptor with the oddly upturned and thin jaw. Now baryonyx with the ugly jaw closure, slinky neck and what weirds me out the most; the indendet chest. Why does it go in on itself? The scapulacoracoid doesn't work like that lol
Its a shame. I'm always excited for their theropods, but then they have that one killing factor that makes me lose interest

I would say it's the best model of this species in this range. I would consider your opinion, if you had mentioned the tail in carnotaurus. But it does'nt seem to catch your trained eye. So, i won't give you much credit. I will get this one, right now. It's not perfect, but it's the best one available. And that's all that matters to me.

    • @ToxicMidget21
      @ToxicMidget21 7 месяцев назад

@@antoniorocha3967 I'm not denying its the best option. But that doesn't make it good. Just best available 🤷‍♂
And I was just giving examples of 1-2 flaws per figure lol, I wasn't gonna write a whole essay on what each one has done wrong. But since were here, yes. The tail is way too thin, the jugal is completely off, its fingers are all clawed when they shouldn't be, the horns are mispositioned, the teeth are too big and too few, the neck has feature scales when it shouldn't, the torso is too wide, the dew claw should face forward, not backwards and the list of nitpicks can go on for a while. However the face is in my opinion the worst aspect; its shaped incorrectly and the horns and teeth are off. I can live with the other stuff, as no model is ever gonna be perfect. But the face is what distinguishes carno the most. Getting that wrong, just ruins it in my eyes
