I found on Ebay an 1992 RTS-1 in incredible shape (no dings or dents, etc) and is ready to bring my dreams back (15 years old back then when I saw this beauty on magazines)
I grew up with GT bikes as a kid. I'd see ball burnished RTS, LTS and Zaskars at the bike shops and dream of having my own...now I have a few of each! That said, a limited edition polished/ball burnished LTS Force/Sensor/Fury and Zaskar would be like the coolest homage.
I'm looking at a 19" purple RTS Team right now. I rode one when they were new and still have this one brand new. One of most iconic bikes ever designed. Truly cemented GT as the force to be reckoned with!!!!
Simply amazing! I'm looking forward to all the upcoming episodes. Still holding onto my 2000 XCR3000. Love that bike and still take her out. The early days of MTB were so much fun.
I had four old GT bikes from the 90's so I really enjoyed them. It was interesting to see that I had a close relationship with Japan, which was involved in the production of cro-mo frames from monochrome photographs. The RTS was thrown out by a car that had jumped out of the corner, but ... it was a really good looking and great bike! Thank you for the wonderful video. GT and the MTB legends involved in it all love.
Ah, the memories.....late 80's Intercepter, 2000 xcr 5000 and 2001 idrive 4.0. Still got the xcr 5000 with a cracked rear triangle and 2 weeks ago bought the iDrive 4.0 (frame only) originally to replace the rear triangle but now switching everything from the xcr to the 4.0! I'll be riding GT's til the day I die!
Love this!! I'm such an idiot, I had no idea GT was for Gary Turner. My first mountain bike was a GT RTS3, loved that thing!! I've never ridden or owned a hard tail mountain bike. Coming from a Moto background and wanting to get into cycling, I saw the RTS3 full-squish and fell in love. Thanks Gary!!
Gotta love the RTS & LTS. Always regret not getting one, was a rigid Kona lover, back in the early 90s. But when you brought out the Al Force LTS last year
I still have my late-90's RTS-2 frame. Supposedly my bike was a pre-production model on display at GT - it didn't even have a serial number. The bike shop had to punch in a SN of my choosing before I could leave the shop with it. The frame cracked at the linkage mount and it now hangs proudly in my garage.
I've had the RTS 3, LTS 2000, STS 1000, Force Carbon iDrive, Zaskar LE, Zaskar White Team LE. Currently got Zaskar Carbon Expert, Zaskar Carbon Team and GT Grade Carbon. Waiting for lockdown to end so I can pick up a Tequila Sunrise 92 Karakoram. Got any jobs going???
I have a GT Avalanche Comp 29 from 2018. It has a tapered frame. I would like to upgrade the Suntour forks to RockShox. My current Suntour forks are straight. My question is can I replace my straight Suntour forks with Tapered RockShox forks on my bike that has a tapered frame and if so what do I require to do this?
I'm only one second to this video it is a total travesty that GT got rid of the A. O. S suspension. You should really be ashamed of yourselves that that you went back to the Horst link. As a company you were unique and now it's just like everybody else. It's not stopping me from being a GT guy though although now I'm going to buy a new Zaskar because I can't ride anything but the AOS if it's full suspension.

that is an awesome score ! Do you still have it? I am stuck in the 90's. 99 Zaskar/XTR,98Avalanche LE /XT,and 91 Karakoram unbuilt.
Thank you for this, and for heroes of my teenage years at GT. I still have my RTS -3.

I am glad for you.

Love all the old school MTB video in this... Man, this takes me back! 🙂
Great video. I love my RTS-3, and have been riding it since I bought it new in 95. Thanks for the history story of the RTS

Glad to hear the XCR is still running and seeing some action!
@@GTBicycles1 Been a solid bike. I got my friends all on GT's because of it. My current "new" bike isn't, but my next will be a GT.
I have my own 2019 GT Force now, I love it and it’s cool to see where it came from!
So good! Every brand should create video stories like this.

Cool series. My era of mtb. All legends! I have a yellow Juli Furtado Selle saddle on my '91 Karakoram (Inferno Red). Looking forward to part 2.

Great video, well done!

Meant to finish with "Grabbed the Elite version for myself" Love it! Good to see the brands history put out there in a well made documentary

I wanted a LTS soooo bad when I was a kid. No amount of lawn mowing would ever pay for one...
Love seeing respect being paid to the pioneers of MTB in the 90's such and epic era of Talent and Design
The pantheon of
mountain biking
👍👍👍
Sensacional. Congrats
I still have my 97' LTS in my garage along with two Zaskar frames from I think 91' and 96'.
Whoa that's a killer collection! 🤩 Which one gets the most action?
@@GTBicycles1 at the moment the Zaskar CE on Zwift lol you should get some bikes on there 😉
Sick vid! Motivation for my content. Keep it up!
I have an early RTS 1 that broke the bottom shock bolt. I'm big at 250 lbs I but haven't wheelied off a loading dock in over 20 years

I was there in 92 (Bromont) that's the day I asked my dad if I could have a mountain bike instead of a bmx 😂
Vividly remember seeing the bike in Mountain Bike Action as a kid and wanting it so badly
great show.thanks ! i ride GT ,send me stickers lol
At 10:49 is that Paola Pezzo ?
unless you're going to try everything and fail. how do you think you're going to get better at things?
great life motto.
Having missed the “24 hour screening”, this is so annoying to have to wait 5 weeks for the whole thing
I don't have a GT bicycle. No GT bicycle in shop . how to buy it😍
Please help me I want to buy a new GT cycle which GT bicycles should I get under rs 40000
Dear GT I hate you, Why did you discontinue the AOS suspension without any explanation? You’ve broke my heart!!! 😭
Wait , GT has ttbike ?
🤟😎👍🚲🚲🚲
