  • Captrain 6601 stopped in Roosendaal (Netherlands) to change driver. I want to thank this driver for the engine start up and giving the chances to create this video! After 10 minutes of waiting the train could depart and ride to his destination Diepholz.
    This Hoyer tank container train service is driving once a week from Antwerp to Diepholz and back. Also check out my other Captrain video's where you can see more of this great trainservice!
    De Hoyer tank-containertrein rijd eenmaal per weer van Antwerpen naar Diepholz en vv. Bekijk ook mijn andere Captrain video's als je meer actie van deze treindienst te zien.

    Yeah, driver gave it full throttle as we would like to film that, as well as he restarted the engine for us. Utmost friendly! :D

      He didn't restart it, what are you talking about?

    • @NovioSites
      @NovioSites  3 года назад +4

      @@interestingrailwaysuk5703 He actually did but I didn't film the arrival because I was talking to the driver which replaced the one arriving with the train. I asked him if he could stop the engine and restart it so I could film the startup. That's where I started filming. ;) I'm sorry for the extreme late reply.

      Siz bir de TCDD DE 24 000 serisi lokomotifleri görün. Hayran kalırsınız. Class 66'nın güzelliği bir başka tabii ki ama maalesef Türkiye'de yok.

    That locomotive, 6601 (class 266 001) has been shipped to the UK from Holland to receive repaires, it is due to be returned to Holland in September.

    • @NovioSites
      @NovioSites  5 лет назад

      Yep, it's shipped to Hull and brought to Longport behind a 37. I didn't knew any date of return so thanks a lot for your comment!

      No problem at all, NovioSites!
      But, I read on this website called WNXX, it said that Captrain class 266 - 266 001 (6601), was given the number 66 999, so it can be transported by rail from Hull to ElectroMotive Diesel at Longport (EMD has been given the contract by Captrain to repair it's fleet of 66 locomotives.
      After 266 001 is returned to Holland, I read on WNXX that there will be more 266 locomotives coming to the UK for repaires.

      @@joelharris1335 Seems kinda strange to me all of them Captrain 66's are in the need of repairs, might be some modifications?

    • @joelharris1335
      @joelharris1335 5 лет назад

      I know it's quite strange, I thought that the class 66s (class 266s) would be be maintained by Captrain (A dutch brand of SNCF) and why would they ask for there locomotives to be sent across the English Channel to receive repaires/modifications?
      I would have thought that GBRF had bought another class 66 from holland and I was suprised to find out that this was not the case.

    • @NovioSites
      @NovioSites  5 лет назад

      @@joelharris1335 6601 was prepared for shipment to the UK at the small EMD workshop in Rotterdam. As being told to me there where big issues which couldn't be repaired right there. That should be the reason it was sent to Longport. There's one more Class 66 with big engine issues but that one is operated by LINEAS, not Captrain. But remember, the operators are not the owners, so I guess there's a contract with Beacon Rail leasing, the owner of most of Class 66 here. Big chance 513-10 from LINEAS will be next heading to Longport.

      I am awfully sorry Madam or Sir, but it was not my intention to use the word awful. I am a non-native speaker of English und did not get the right meaning of that word. I am sorry but I would ask you for your understanding. Thank you very much. My native tongue is German and this could happen to you, too if you wrote a German comment, but I would write back in a friendly way that you have used the word in a wrong context. I am a translator of English and Spanish and there mistakes can happen. I am sorry to be an awful person in your eyes, but how would you have reacted if you had written a German comment and used one or more words in a wrong sense? To err is human, you are not perfect and make mistakes yourself, be careful what you say and write. I am considered a Gentleman an outdieng species. The Class 66 is a great locomotive with a great sound, I have often see them in my country and like the motor sound very much. Your video is great, keep on doing like this. I hope this misunderstanding could be solved from my side and wish you all the best.
