I'm Mariah Alice, and I live the "solo female van life" with my dog, Finn. We've been on the road full time since June of 2020, and although our road has been met with what feels like a zillion ups and downs, we've finally gotten to the point where living in a van feels like home. Sometimes we're alone in the woods, sometimes we're alone in a desert, sometimes we're chasing snow or thunderstorms, sometimes we're trying to see all 50 states, and sometimes we're making weekly videos here on RUclips talking about our feelings, anxiety, loneliness, seasonal extreme sadness..... yeah. I don't know what I'm doing with my life. And that's okay. I think :)

Sounds like the best Mariah will be able to hope for is the collective agreement that she does not not make sense.
Good for you not driving when you don't feel safe. While those of us who grew up in snowy areas and think nothing of driving in snow (up to a certain depth or intensity of falling) it is ALWAYS best to stick to your comfort level when driving.

My dog is low key obsessed watching your videos because he loves to watch Finn on the TV. He gets so confused when he disappears off screen and decides to look around the house looking for where he could have gone 😂 I hope when we’re in our van he’ll get to meet his TV bud in person one day - I’m sure it’d make his day!

We’re all running out of time. Glad to hear you’re taking it slow while here in New Mexico. Random tidbit of information- New Mexico’s official motto is “The Land of Enchantment” but us locals lovingly call it “The Land of Mañana” or the land of tomorrow. People here move at their own pace. 😁
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, your eye for artistic shots is amazing. How you frame everything up and the sequential timing of scene to scene is on point. Your drone work is vastly improved and even though you just started your star gazing time-lapse phase… that last scene was very nice. Tip of the cap to you Mariah. Be proud. And as always, be safe.

Been watching almost since the beginning don’t know why I just now comment but just wanna say I envy how you’ve found the joy in little things. In a world of chaos and going harder and faster you’ve found a way to slow down and find what it really means to be human or at least your trying to. I hope one day I can find my own peace or get on path to finding it like you have. Thank you for giving me hope

The point is, therapy aside, you are striving toward greatness and understanding yourself better. That is the best thing any of us can do for ourselves. While you explore yourself you are also exploring the country too and that is really special in itself..
I always say it; I love your videos. I am glad you found therapy and have found it helpful. I did two sessions in late febuary/ early march and it was enlightening to say the least.

Since I've been watching your channel, I've often wondered at your wanderlust of driving. Driving becomes its own job. Sometimes you are in places that I think "Oh, I'd like to spend a week there" then by the end of the video you are driving off to parts unknown. What you are doing then and now is fine! I just get a bit anxious when I see some awesome spot you found and quickly leave. You find really good spots! Enjoy your travels and enjoy the stillness. See you next week. PS. The snow was really nice.
There's always something about these vids that sort of "resets" me and helps remember what I'm working towards. "It's only when I thought about the joy in the seemingly endless tasks that life started to feel right again." --I remember that it's not as much about the destination that matters, but instead, the real joy is in the journey itself.

I read that book after you mentioned it, Where the Crawdads Sing. During Covid, nothing was open except for the grocery store, so the magazine isle became my library and I was so happy to "borrow" such a good book for only $9.99.

"How is it snowing when it is 36°?" It is only 36° near the ground where you are. As you go up in elevation it gets cooler by 5° per thousand feet, or there abouts. So above you, it was definitely cold enough to be snowing and it didn't have enough time to melt as it fell through the air.

My wife and i here in the uk are planning to get a camper , not to live in but to get away as often as we can , really enjoy your videos , stay safe .
You actually make sense In a nonsensical kinda way, I don’t know if that makes sense or not but hopefully it does. You know what it doesn’t matter it’s entertaining! Also I definitely get the slowing down bit. Watching you and other vanlifers made me wanna try doing this vanlife thing but I thought I’d try it out in my car first. I’ve done 12,000km in the last 3 weeks and now I’m looking at myself and asking myself why i did that much. On the flip side I drove from the southern most area in mainland Australia to the northern most town I could access without needing a 4wd. And it’s all thanks to creators like you who inspire so much travel.

I just drove through there on 3/31, picked up a super interesting, old Apache named Erle (don't recommend picking up hitchhikers), drove through Hondo, Tinnie etc which is gorgeous. Enjoy your visit and keep up with the videos 🙏

That's New Mexico weather for ya. Our Land of Enchantment gets showers of snow but oddly more than half the time it doesn't stick. I'd say 1 out of 15 storms the snow will stick. I'm happy your enjoying New Mexico 💛🙂

This is the first time watching your content. I'm so grad I found this channel. Your vid calm me down. And this is the first time in my life Iive alone. Your content are so resonate.
I really enjoy the fact that you have started doing counseling congratulations congratulations. I also really enjoy that you have been discovered better time management. It did I got off of social media 4 years ago, comma and that significantly helped reduce my distractions. I got rid of my cell phone about 18 months ago, and that helped me start being able to focus better at work and home.
